But its airports duty to check all pilots for drugs at marsh harbour airport before they fly a plane. (like most airports). So i personally don't believe he was on drugs. The main reason why the plane when down was because it exceeded its maxim weight limit. Have 8 people on a plane in clouding the polite. Plus have all the heavy camera equipment on to of that would cause a problem.
