I have seen a lot of films that portray the story of Henry the eighth and his first two wives. I have to say that Maria Doyle Kennedy is the prettiest Katherine by far. They usually try to portray Katherine of Aragon as being Miss Havisham from Great Expectations old and ugly and I am glad that the casting directors of the Tudors didn't do that.

Henry didn't understand that she had been Queen of England for so long, that it's the only way and person she knew how to be. Asking her ot just step away from it was likely a completely traumatizing experience.

That son was Edward VI, not Edward IV, and he was sixteen when he became king. He only lived a few years and left no children.

the only mistake that I found in this series is the actor who plays Henry is to younger to Maria Doyle Keneddy...in some scenes she seems her mother

I think they should choose an older man to play the rol, because she is perfect!

Good song choice I was going to do a vid like this but glad I didn't cause I think yours is so much better than I'd have done. Poor Catherine she really loved him despite his mistreatment. Still Anne got her comeuppance eventually.

Despite the sympathy I feel for her, I still do not like Anne. The only thing that Catherine did wrong was not able to produce a living son, and it is unfair to place all the blame on her.
