Yes, deffo. The Hard Corps games I think had awful music, lacked any of the 80s-styled military Vs alien kind of punch that Contra 3 had, and just sounded awful!

Contra Hard Corps (Genesis) had the best boss music in the series.

Nah I don't think so, the music in Hard Corps to me sounds screechy and not very well composed, plus the SNES had better sound capabilities. The SNES music also fitted the military/war aspect a lot better, I reckon. Especially as I said, a lot of the music within the SNES one was based upon alien/war films of the 80s. Thou one or two tracks from Hard corps are not bad, as whole, it isn't that good.

Hard Corps music was done by the same person who does ALL the music of the Castlevania series.

So It's awesome. Enough said.

Hard Corps music isn't bad in comparison to many games, but Contra 3's music, as I mentioned before took influence from a lot of Sci/Fi and 80s action movies of the time. In comparisons Hard Corp's music just sounds a bit iffy and messy. As for Castlevania, I agree the series has good music, my fave being on Castlevania IV for the SNES.

I will admit that not all of it sounds good. But there are a lot of tracks in Hard Corps that are really good. My favorite being the "X-Format" boss theme.
