How many piltdown man has to be "discovered" before people realize that darwin evolution is wrong? The mere fact that scam like it almost made it as a proof for transistions was a result of people having to much belief in the theory of evolution.
Humans are not evolving. All we ever see is variation in the genome, like differences in eye color, or skin color, height, weight, variances in abilities, such as music and athleticism. These differences have always been expressed within the genome. None of this is evolution. The folks who built the pyramids are no different from us genetically, other than they probably had a few less deleterious mutations. We haven't improved genetically since humans first appeared on the earth.
So, consequently it is very understandable that we don't have heaps of transitional fossils. How does one explain vestigial traits? If you've done any studying of the human skeleton you'll see that we have a completely useless fraction of a tail. Coincidence? Nooooo.

The short answer to why there are no other species of the genus homo around today is that modern humans have evolved out of earlier human species or they have already died out.
The different human races should not be considered as distinct species because of their ability to interbreed and produce healthy, fertile offspring. This is generally accepted as the criteria for separating groups into different species.
There are 264 extant species of monkeys, however not all of these belong to the same genus, there are at least 7 different families of monkeys. Within which there are several examples of species which are the only member of a particular genus. So your example of monkeys serves us very well with examples of creature species which are the one species within their genus, in exactly the same way that humans are the only Homo species, these include:

You seem to be asking if I know of any insect species that has arisen in the last 2000 years, based on the assumptions that there are ~100 million species and life has been around for ~ 2 billion years. Please correct me if I've misunderstood this.
I don't know where the figure of 100 million comes from, there is a paper titled "Numbers of living species in Australia and the World" by A. D. Chapman, A. D. (2006) which notes the number of recorded species (of all life, not just insects) as being just under 2 million. The same paper also notes that each year about 18,000 new species are described (of which 75% are invertebrates, 11% vascular plants and nearly 7% vertebrates).
The California Museum of Palaeontology notes that it is estimated that life has existed on Earth for ~ 3.7 billion years, far longer than the 2 billion you have assumed. This alters the arithmetic quite a bit, rather than expecting one new species of insect every 20 years on average, we should only expect one new species of life form (plant/animal/bacteria/fungus/etc.) every 3.7 billion divided by 2 million = 1850 years.
This is an average, if we grant that when life first began there would obviously have been far less biodiversity, therefore we would expect to see new species arising far less frequently than today, even if we assume that we would expect new species to be arising today at 10 times the average rate, that's still only one new species every 185 years or so.
To get back to your question then. I personally don't know of any insect species which have arisen in the last 2000 years, but that's not to say that there haven't been an abundance of them (I'm no expert in insect anthropology).

(1) Humans HAVE a different number of chromosomes, although we may have been created with 48 or 50

There aren't billions of those, most hominids would have been considered endangered species by our standards. Fossils are even rarer.
Separation of bones have any number of explanations, scavengers picking through the body and destroying bones to get to the marrow are one explanation. Sedimentary movement is another. In addition some bones are more likely to be preserved while others simply rot away. Together these make a pretty clear explanation for why fossils aren't usually intact.
@WhenYouveGoneGuru: Moreover, fossils have to buried deeply to fossilize, then they have to come back to the surface through erosion. There is no magic fossil finder; the only way to locate them is for erosion to expose a bone on the surface, and come into a trained observers eyesight. Once exposed, the fossils will break down into sand with a year or two, and disappear. So areas have to be searched year after year. A single heavy rain can wash bone parts many yards away from site.

Oh really!, how about transitional fossils like Tiktaalik, acanthostega, ichthyostega, Panderichthys just to name a few. This are primitive fish/amphibian type animals that lived during the devonian period, they clearly show the evolution of fish into land vertebrates.

One must not forget Bishop Usher who proclaimed that Mankind was only around 4,000 years old, and began on a Friday I think it was about 9 am.
Anyway the real story begins around 2.5 million years ago in East Africa. There is fossil and artefact evidence for this. Modern human beings arose from this during the Ice Age all around the world.

You misunderstand the meaning of the word 'Theory'; in the scientific sense a theory is a testable model capable of predicting future occurrences of the same kind and capable of being tested through experiment or observation. It is the highest possible scientific truth since it relates all of the known facts and observations and explains them.
Other theories include the theory of gravity and atomic theory. The way you are taking the word 'Theory' is more like the meaning of hypothesis, this it is not. This is simply an issue of semantics, if you understood what was meant by a scientific 'theory' you would realise how pointless your comment was.

Humans are not evolving. All we ever see is variation in the genome, like differences in eye color, or skin color, height, weight, variances in abilities, such as music and athleticism. These differences have always been expressed within the genome. None of this is evolution. The folks who built the pyramids are no different from us genetically, other than they probably had a few less deleterious mutations. We haven't improved genetically since humans first appeared on the earth.

I don't know where the figure of 100 million comes from, there is a paper titled "Numbers of living species in Australia and the World" by A. D. Chapman, A. D. (2006) which notes the number of recorded species (of all life, not just insects) as being just under 2 million. The same paper also notes that each year about 18,000 new species are described (of which 75% are invertebrates, 11% vascular plants and nearly 7% vertebrates).

The California Museum of Palaeontology notes that it is estimated that life has existed on Earth for ~ 3.7 billion years, far longer than the 2 billion you have assumed. This alters the arithmetic quite a bit, rather than expecting one new species of insect every 20 years on average, we should only expect one new species of life form (plant/animal/bacteria/fungus/etc.) every 3.7 billion divided by 2 million = 1850 years.

This is an average, if we grant that when life first began there would obviously have been far less biodiversity, therefore we would expect to see new species arising far less frequently than today, even if we assume that we would expect new species to be arising today at 10 times the average rate, that's still only one new species every 185 years or so.

This is the best I could knock together in 5 minutes with google, it's hardly supposed to be a comprehensive catalogue of fossils.
They are mostly skulls, 'Lucy' is a nearly 40% complete skeleton, 'Turkana Boy' is an almost complete skeleton.

There aren't billions of those, most hominids would have been considered endangered species by our standards. Fossils are even rarer.
Separation of bones have any number of explanations, scavengers picking through the body and destroying bones to get to the marrow are one explanation. Sedimentary movement is another. In addition some bones are more likely to be preserved while others simply rot away. Together these make a pretty clear explanation for why fossils aren't usually intact.

No, not 22 transitional fossils, 22 identified transitional SPECIES, there are many more fossils than that. Wikipedia alone lists individually 129 examples of such fossils.

Because there is no actual evidence. The 'billion' of years adult fairy tale is repeated in school text books when there is a ton of evidence for a young earth. I can understand why evolution is so important for atheists because that is all they have really.
However, there is no scientific evidence to support the idea that we all came from a rock 4.6 billion years ago. Ken Hovind has offered 40 million dollars for anyone with any real evidence for evolution for 20 years now.. still no one.

Unfortunately Mr Hovind has no credibility thanks to his track record as a liar and a fraudster.
He's actually only offering $250,000, but the size of the prize is not important. What is important is that his challenge to 'prove evolution' goes far beyond what is claimed by any scientist in an effort to make it impossible.

Hmm, the lengths society will go to silence the truth. Heroes and truth speakers often get sent into prision. This is just how things are run. Most of his charges were petty ones. Tax evasion? Have you even seen what your tax dollars goes towards?
Despite his current prision sentence, his points were extremley relevant and crushed evolution. He is a very wise man and was sent into prision for what HE believed. He did nothing wrong. Like Jesus Christ really, all he did was speak the truth too.

2. Planets and stars formed from space dust.
3. Matter created life by itself.
4. Early life-forms learned to reproduce themselves.

No one said we came from a rock 4.6 bya; strawman. Ken(t) Hovind offers $250,000, but evidence must include all science from Big Bang through evolution, including abiogenesis and Nebular Hypothesis. It's doubtful that Kent and his family could raise the money if he had to, at this point, for ...uh... legal reasons.

Oh really!, how about transitional fossils like Tiktaalik, acanthostega, ichthyostega, Panderichthys just to name a few. This are primitive fish/amphibian type animals that lived during the devonian period, they clearly show the evolution of fish into land vertebrates.

I'm sorry to see that you got so many thumbs down. This is the ONLY argument where creationists can safely put God. Since the evidence of evolution is overwhelming, yours is the only reasonable alternative. And guess what. We can't disprove it. Of course, you can't show evidence for it, either, and to be scientific, you have to do that. If God exists, evolution is his master plan and clearly *someone* wrote Genesis without his authorization.

Yes of course there is a God, but there are also many other hominin and hominid species that have now been bred out of existence. Neanderthals, Hiedelbergensis, Australopithecus afarensis, Cro Magnon, Sapiens, Erectus, many more and lastly us.
Look at the fossil evidence stretching back over 2.5 million years ago, we evolved, and then tell us all that we came from Adam and Eve. We are a highly evolved species and not the end of the story either...

Hi, Im an archaeologist and wish to give my version of the story okay? First of all I wish to say that human evolution, rather than creation theory is a fact. One must not forget Bishop Usher who proclaimed that Mankind was only around 4,000 years old, and began on a Friday I think it was about 9 am.
Anyway the real story begins around 2.5 million years ago in East Africa. There is fossil and artefact evidence for this. Modern human beings arose from this during the Ice Age all around the world.

As far as I am aware none of the fossils I have included in this video are known to be hoaxes, if I am wrong please provide me with your sources of such information so I can verify for myself.
The only thing this video was meant to "prove" was that there is no lack of transitional fossils.

You misunderstand the meaning of the word 'Theory'; in the scientific sense a theory is a testable model capable of predicting future occurrences of the same kind and capable of being tested through experiment or observation. It is the highest possible scientific truth since it relates all of the known facts and observations and explains them.
