I just noted that whenever I dream, I'm with a group, and in the end they leave one-by-one, until I leave as the second-to-last.
Also, at one point, our group entered a small house (it was like a whole town where you couldn't see anything, the sky wasn't visible and there were so many rusty buildings made from scraps) to get some food, although the house looked like any other house did. I can't help wondering what would have been in the other houses. I guess thinking about that won't help (>_<)
-have the power to fly from danger and laugh in the face of it. My dreams go bad?..I simply fly away through the clouds and have my breath taken from me due to the SHEER beauty of the sun or moon depending on the time in my dream. I love dreaming and always will 'til my death arrives at my feet.
I've been doing this since 4th grade...I'm now on my 2nd term in college...During those years, My goal was to learn how to fly. It began Like this: I had to hold my breath and leap forward and hold my arms out like PeterPan. Except I couldn't fly. I'd glide like a paper airplane, slowly reaching the ground. Then a few years went by and I had to replicate the motions of swimming "froggy style" to fly and could stay in the air for as long as my lungs would allow. NOW? I simply believe...I now-
I had a lucid dream once, in the dream I was like some sort of spy and had all the cool gadgets the guy from splinter cell had, then the hell hounds from COD zombies came out of nowere and started to chase mi inside a building, it's here we're I realized I was dreaming. After this, I flew out of the building somehow and crash landed in my front lawn.
that's really freaky because when I was like 9 or 8 I dreamed I woke up 3 times and they were all wrong, I didn't remember any dream before that though D: but when I woke up I felt quite relieved I actually woke ( ^_^' )
Helpful hint you may not have herd: put a pillow over your head when you sleep. this will not only keep out light and sound that can be distracting but it will also put even pressure and temp. on you body (the same pressure and temp as you blanket has) which will help keep you from waking up too early. and if you acidently open your eye you wont see any thing and you will proibly go right back to sleep.
I had a lucid dream a couple of days ago!!! I was dreamin of myself dreaming in which in my dream I was dreaming about me realizing I was dreaming and I was kicking !!!
I was dreaming one time that I was a fairy and I figured out I was dreaming by seeing my worst enemy be a cartoon. So then they started to attack me with magic and I wanted to fight back and I focused as hard as I could on my hand. I focused on moving my energy to my hand and slowly a ball of light formed in my hand. I fought back for about a minute an then I woke up. I screamed" DANG IT!!!"
i have only had one lucid dream ever in my life, and i was being chased by wizards that were shooting beams of light at me, until i realized i was in a dream because i tried to run but it felt like my body couldn't move, then thats when i started reflecting the light back at them and destroying the wizards and i became immune to the light.. then i woke up):
i have a problem i always dream but most of the time i dream so fast that i blackout for 1 secound and im back up and it soo frustrating cause when im dreaming i never get the thought that i can actually be dreaming help plz.
@Hellsconsort Damn Im 12 and I stopped haveing sleep paralysis just a couple months ago. The best thing to do is get sleep. I used to stay up 3 days to 4 days straight. Then I would have dreams about a dark shadow in the shape of a person watching over me, and when I tried to screem out for help or say somthing nothing came out as if I were on mute. Then when I tried to move it felt as if gravity was pushing me down. After I would just wake up with beads of sweat on my head.
@xCDUNNx1999x You are definately right. Unfortunately it's easier said than done if you just can't sleep sometimes. It's good that you notice this at 12 and can hopefully not fall into bad habbit.
@xCDUNNx1999x i been through something similar..like 1 time i was sleeping and i felt something grabbing me...OMG i screamed NO...and that whole time i was screaming no at a low voice...
I know how to lucid dream. I remember getting it my first night. But after hearing of this sleep paralysis and the hallucinations you can experience, i'm too freaked out to experiment with it -.-
When I wake up, I think too much about what I have to do in my life, so I think that's why I don't remember dreams... Like it was another part of my being... Maybe I say sh*t ha ha, what do you think ? If my statement can help anyone, i'm pleased.
You know whats weird whenever I dream and whenever my dream happens underwater. When I realize im in the water i acctuly can't breath in real life and when I wake up I just start breathing real hard and its just really weird lol
ok, so lucid dreaming is difficult, and i had alot of frustration while i was learning how to do it. but, the first step i took and it worked for me, was as i was falling asleep, i let my mind wander. as my thoughts get stranger and stranger (while my sub conscious was taking over) just before i felt as if i was not controlling what i was thinking, i just told myself i was going to lucid dream. it is the last conscious state before entering a dream, and it worked for me. try it, i bet ittle work
plz tell me why im doing this but this morning i cupped my hand to my ear as if i was listening to a phone and then said softly no, when i said no i woke myself up and really belived i was lisenting to a phone, ive done this before but with my laptop. my laptop was at the end of the bed but i started typing in mid air and then woke up realising where my laptop was! PLZ TELL ME WHAT THIS IS!!!!!
ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!: There is one sure way to have a lucid dream. Set your alarm clock to go off around 3:00 or 4:00 am. Go to sleep like you would usually do, when the alarm goes off wake up and allow yourself to be fully aware that your turning off the alarm, after that, anything you think about you will dream about instantly...But you still have to figure out your dreaming, but it's a lot easier and at least for me it skips the sleep paralysis.
i tried remembering when i went to sleep i felt like i was humming, then i seen my dream but i couldent enter it was like i was behind a sheet of glass.
I had this one dream a few days ago. Theirs 2 reasons why theirs no way I could've guessed that I was dreaming. no1: In my dream there was food involved and I could ACTUALLY taste it in my mouth. no2: Whilst eating I looked at my reflection and saw my self as I would naturally look in reality. The freaky thing about that dream was that I have natural curly hair and I straitened it for the night and it even got my straight hair correct! My mind plays soo many tricks on me its unbelievable!
I can enter the state of sleep paralysis. I've done it many many many times. I've recently found out of I attempt to lick the bottom of my teeth or stick my tongue out my mouth I awake. It's very weird though. I was at school once and I put my head down and I randomly became concious, but I knew I was asleep. Idk how to explain it. It was very weird, but I'd love to be able to control it. Also, everyday when I wake up I seem to be very disorientated is that because I was attempting to LD?
thats how i did it when i was little, now i can control my dreams and do what ever i want in a dream including flying. just keep doing reality checks all the time and soon you will do it in a dream and know about it, then you can start doing what you want in a dream.
i had a dream that i was INSIDE the tv show smallville and clark was trying to save me from a guy trying to push me in a pool and he pushed me but i was still breathing perfectly but i didnt but my vision i the dream was all watery like when ur playing bioshock and you walk through one of the leaks coming from the cieling
this is going 2 b awesome once i master this not only is doing it going to be awesome but like i can go into a fantasy world such as those nintendo games and stuff
@edge0125 I'm having trouble entering sleep paralysis and then entering my dream or having an obe. I enter sleep paralysis at around the middle of being fully into sleep paralysis and I get the urge to take a heavy breath or else I think I'm not gonna be able to breath. Any advice u have to give me?
WILD is scary as fuck...Well sleep paralysis is, about to 2 years ago I was laying down and i closed my eyes for 2 seconds and when I opened them I couldnt move and everything was red and I heard someone by my bedside saying something in my ear.. I panicked and tried to move for about 5 minutes im guessing. I thought I was getting possessed lol it was tooo scary.. I never want to experience that again.. NEVER
Funny how I never knew I had done some of these stages at one point lol I remember plenty of my dreams and how some things look blurry it all makes sense now:)
So cool! I had my lucid dream 2 days ago. I recall it as though it was yesterday! This is the best hobby yet! Now in my life I feel happier knowing that tonight I have a chance of achieving flight! Go suck on that wright brothers!
If I can maintain having lucid dreams every night and maintain the same REM cycle as well as learning to control my dream, then I will be able to enter an renter the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic universe and pick up were I left off in my next dream.... Sweet
had this really wierd dream i was running from discord (from mlp) then i was like im dreaming so had full control of my body but then some random pony dude came up and raped me and i felt his penis in my (thingy) and it felt so real it hurt so badly :( m sad now ive lost my dream virgnity so was like no way im doing this in real life so i was like screm this so made out with ranbow dash, the Cutie mark crusaders, the mane 6 then celestia appeared and licked my (thingy) and it felt sooo bad.
Found the girl of my dreams i told her this was a dream, and to not wake me then we went to sleep in a field of grass looking up at the stars one of the best moments of my life was then i hope i can relive it one day and feel the love i felt then ahhhh very romantic

I had a dream like this once. It was going as normal when a man I didn't know walked up to me and said, "This is a dream. If you wake up, I will die." I woke up and started crying. Still scarred. :(
What if i dream and i know im dreaming, but i cant control it. This has happened to me where i realize im dreaming but i cant move, yet im moving but not by my command and i do things i dont want to do. What do i do then ?
This really worked O.O I felt the sleep paralysis part. It scared the absolutely shit out of me. I couldn't move my body. I could only move the one in my dream.
In the sleep paralysis state and lucid dreaming is it just like seeing an image in front of you and you know your lay in your bed or is it like your just closing your eyes and imagining?
These reality checks make no sense because when these checks come into my mind within my dream then I already am AWARE that I am probably in a dream and just have to do a check to verify it. Thus, it is more crucial to know how I can bring this check into my mind when I am dreaming. And I think there is the main problem because when we dream we dont know that we dream and thus we never think about making a reality check ;)
@truth4usAll Thats why you should constantly do the reality checks also while you are awake, no matter how stupid it feels. It must become a routine that you perform several times every day. That way you may eventually start doing them while you're dreaming, even thought you think you are not dreaming ^^
I actually remember having a dream about being on the titanic, but when the ship started to sink everything turned sideways and I fell. When I woke up I found myself on the ground :P
keep in mind I wasn't watching the movie Titanic before I fell asleep xD
So. I have a question; does falling asleep to music affect your dreams? Can I listen to certain singers as I fall asleep and automatically dream about them?
Also, does taking medication to help you fall asleep make a difference?
Can someone please answer this, when I was about 13-14 I would have these dreams , or I think there dreams , it would take about 10 min and It would feel like my whole body is sleeping but I'm wide awake, and I'm looking at my self sleeping... I would then almost fall into some kind of hypnotic state for a few seconds before I would snap myself out of it and I would Jump out of bed , this hasnt happened to me for 3 years , can someone please explain :) thanks
@needstobefamouse Try maintaining awareness about your surroundings as much as possible during the day - listen to all the sounds you hear, feel your clothes, feel the air, focus more on tastes etc.
This will make you much more "awake" in general and after some time you will start to pay the same attention to your dreams, which will lead to lucidity.
This can be very stressful in the beginning, but is totally worth it.
Another great aiding technique is Wake-Back-To-Bed (WBTB).
@needstobefamouse Also try to imagine that real life is a lucid dream - pretend that everything you see is actually a dream, and imagine what you would do if it really was a dream.
This could give you a great feeling of excitement and expectation, which is great for lucid dreams.
It's also very important that you believe in yourself - don't have any doubts, anyone can lucid dream because lucid dreams are just regular dreams where you happen to be more aware than normal.
@needstobefamouse Also try to remember the dreams you have - lie completely still when you wake up in the morning and go through the dream slowly in your head, then write it all down.
This will practice your ability to remember dreams, which is very important - you could actually have lucid dreams and then forget them, so good dream recall is vital.
I usually play songs I've heard before in my mind or just compose them on the spot before going to sleep. Sometimes, while dreaming, I suddenly hear the music very clearly and just by thinking I can instantly change it to whatever sound I want. It's very relaxing, even better than the Opera.
I like the fall dreams because, sometimes i know it is a dream but than i feel that so i wale up. But i dont have much control enough to think that im dreaming.but if i fall i like it beacauce the floor/ground isn't there so i can fall and fall over again butt noting happend only that feeling i got in a rollercoaster , i like that feeling (:
my first lucid dream, i was in school, and i was getting a detention, then im like fuck this shyt and went GTA style with a jetpack out and just started to make things appear in my hands, like money, or anything i wanted
okay someone explain this to me. I had a dream when i was a little kid. It wasn't a lucid dream but when I woke up i sat in bed for a few seconds and my best friend came running through the door of my room and jumped on my bed. Then I actually woke up. (it was a false awakening) and i sat there for a few seconds thinking about how wierd that was. and then it happened in real life exactly the same way. (my friends mom came to see my mom and my mom told him he could wake me up). but seriously how?
@16431421 me too!!!!!false awakening happens to you for 20 sec but it almost continue until you break it out when i was 10 i felt this and i was having a headache for a couple of minutes i suddenly break it out i don"t know how i did but yeah it was weird for mee
i remember when i had nightmares, i would wake my self up by blinking my eyes alot then BOOM im awake. Also in my nightmares when i no im dreaming and when im really scared and i wana wake up, i pinch myself or i kill myself somehow lol or i let the ghost or monster kill me so i wake up
@regulatorzone yeah thats true , the pressure is horrible! same with rollercoasters or big swings in dreams and its worse when you cant make them stop
There are instances where I can actually feel and see myself going into a dream. The best thing is I know I'm dreaming so I'm able to do anything I've ever wanted. I trained myself so that my dreams are now lucid all the time.
i had a dream where i went through an ENTIRE SCHOOL DAY in very vivid detail, then im my dream i went to sleep and the alarm went off and i actually had to go to school :(
I was Great att lucid dreaming when i was around 7 years old and all My friends said it was impossible to know when your dreaming and control the dream. I actually remember using the spinning technic to wake up. Guess i wasnt crazy after all:p Im gonna start practice this again!
Holy shit that's really scary about dreaming you're waking up. You could dream about going to school/work that whole dream and then just wake up. Creepy.
08:05 That happened to me today.I dreamed that I was looking in to the sky and then I saw a lot of UFO crafts, I was scared and said this must be a dream, I woke up, I was like in bed, and I began to float, I thought I am finaly able to do a astral projection, and then I got really excited and woke up :P
lol, i never knew all of the stuff that goes on behind it back then, but i still remember my first lucid dream i had when i was little. I dreamed of a gang of bad guys talking to me. The leader was a fat guy that claimed he was going to eat me for 2 years. (yeah i dunno i was like 5) Then i think that was the point i realised i could control it. I guess i must have been watching dragonball z that night because i went super saiyan on thier ass. ^_^
@TheGamerOptimistic hahaha i have been able to lucid dream for a while now and everytime i do i want to fly because its fucking awesome lol but to fly i all ways go super sayian its a great feeling have you ever done a kamehameha.because if you havent try it nothing is better
come to think of it, i've experienced a 'WILD' technique dream before when i had a little faze of 'iDosing', which involves you listening to different frequency depths and keeping an open mind... i saw myself in a thin cyclone spiraling upwards, flying past my grandparents and family relatives... spunouttt... was unreal
@8LocKDowN8 yeah it would be in your dream, i remember listenning to music while dreaming and funny how the lyrics from the songs or the music actually had an impact on the people and how i felt in my dream :)
i cant believe one can be so aware of what hes dreaming that he can actually just follow these steps and get into a lucid dream. i usually do not remember anything im dreaming about Oo
@quedin2u sorry but that is incorrect.. i have died a few times in my dreams by jumping or falling off a tall buildings and hitting the floor, being shot and stabbed but i am still here. maybe I am different ?? ;)
@quedin2u@quedin2u sorry but that is incorrect.. i have died a few times in my dreams by jumping or falling off a tall buildings and hitting the floor, being shot and stabbed but i am still here. maybe I am different ?? ;)
@1297theghost It means rebirth! It happened to me a couple of weeks ago (I drowned on the top of a submarine as it was descending) It was weird as I didn't feel any discomfort but I new that that was it! It was weird as I knew was dreaming and I was curious to know what death would mean! Then I woke up! Figures!
QUESTION!!!!! Does putting your radio on sleep mode (a mode that auto shuts of in however minutes you think you will fall asleep in) affect lucid dreams? Because i turn mine onto sleep but really want to lucid dream and idk if it affects it! PLEASE THUMB SO HE CAN SEE!
Lucid dreaming is awesome. I started quite young, It began with a recurring dream concept I had issues with, a lot of my dreams used to involve wheels or circles that no matter how hard I tried, I could not stop them from spinning. Finally I managed to stop them consciously, and from that day I have been in complete control of my dreams. It has been a while since a dream I can remember, as I have never kept a journal (Think I will start) But the last ones i remember are a "series" of dreams.
seems very cool :) but i'll have to know how to wake up before i dare trying this. what if i can't wake up? It would be a nightmare, literally... what if i get a "false awaking" and then take a reality check, and then realizing i'm still dreaming. must be terrible! :-O
@Matstoen "false awakenings" really suck, one time i thought i woke up and my reality check was to look out the window which was not a good idea. lol... im never lucid dreaming again.
For someone reason in my dreams whenever I try to run, its always in slow motion as if I was running against wind, its really annoying

thats how i did it when i was little, now i can control my dreams and do what ever i want in a dream including flying. just keep doing reality checks all the time and soon you will do it in a dream and know about it, then you can start doing what you want in a dream.

BrandonGagsAlot 1 month ago
In the sleep paralysis state and lucid dreaming is it just like seeing an image in front of you and you know your lay in your bed or is it like your just closing your eyes and imagining?
adamfuckinknowsit 1 month ago
These reality checks make no sense because when these checks come into my mind within my dream then I already am AWARE that I am probably in a dream and just have to do a check to verify it. Thus, it is more crucial to know how I can bring this check into my mind when I am dreaming. And I think there is the main problem because when we dream we dont know that we dream and thus we never think about making a reality check ;)
truth4usAll 1 month ago
@truth4usAll Thats why you should constantly do the reality checks also while you are awake, no matter how stupid it feels. It must become a routine that you perform several times every day. That way you may eventually start doing them while you're dreaming, even thought you think you are not dreaming ^^

Also, does taking medication to help you fall asleep make a difference?

needstobefamouse 1 month ago
@needstobefamouse Try maintaining awareness about your surroundings as much as possible during the day - listen to all the sounds you hear, feel your clothes, feel the air, focus more on tastes etc.
This will make you much more "awake" in general and after some time you will start to pay the same attention to your dreams, which will lead to lucidity.
This can be very stressful in the beginning, but is totally worth it.
Another great aiding technique is Wake-Back-To-Bed (WBTB).
Laurelindo 1 month ago
@needstobefamouse Also try to imagine that real life is a lucid dream - pretend that everything you see is actually a dream, and imagine what you would do if it really was a dream.
This could give you a great feeling of excitement and expectation, which is great for lucid dreams.
It's also very important that you believe in yourself - don't have any doubts, anyone can lucid dream because lucid dreams are just regular dreams where you happen to be more aware than normal.
Laurelindo 1 month ago
@needstobefamouse Also try to remember the dreams you have - lie completely still when you wake up in the morning and go through the dream slowly in your head, then write it all down.
This will practice your ability to remember dreams, which is very important - you could actually have lucid dreams and then forget them, so good dream recall is vital.

I usually play songs I've heard before in my mind or just compose them on the spot before going to sleep. Sometimes, while dreaming, I suddenly hear the music very clearly and just by thinking I can instantly change it to whatever sound I want. It's very relaxing, even better than the Opera.

Lucid dreaming is awesome. I started quite young, It began with a recurring dream concept I had issues with, a lot of my dreams used to involve wheels or circles that no matter how hard I tried, I could not stop them from spinning. Finally I managed to stop them consciously, and from that day I have been in complete control of my dreams. It has been a while since a dream I can remember, as I have never kept a journal (Think I will start) But the last ones i remember are a "series" of dreams.
