@bigrobowski26 It wouldn't work! the carb is at the inlet of the turbo, the blow off would never open cause it would never read pressure excess! Plus if it did that would spill out all the fuel and the engine would die or it would act as an open throttle and it would suck air after releasing all the hypothetical pressure and since there is no fuel being fed after that point the engine would die! A blow through carb could work with a blow off but a turbo maw is far enough.

@mattdaman666 umm i drive a 72 chevelle buddy not a honda, unless you mean my user name wich was like 4 years ago i have a yfz450 now. 1 pound of boost is not even enough to do anything even if its not under load i doubt it makes anymore with the wastegate closed. this motor only turns mabe 3400rpm at the most, theres no way that big of a turbo on that little motor could make enough boost to make more power when it only turns 3400rpm or less

My reasoning is that this engine would rev past the 3500 RPM limit with the turbo charger. It is designed as a normally aspirated engine with conservative valve timing and with an increase in RPM the valves would float. There are single springs on each valve. If there was an inner spring on each in conjunction with the stock springs, the valves would probably be fine

There is a reason why they don't make "L" head engines with a turbo charger. It's called valve float. I'd like to see you rev the engine under a load and watch the exhaust valve melt into the head.

The system that actuate the valves is the same as OHV engines, except without rockers.

I do agree L head is aboslute shit though, but that's because they have shitty volumetric efficiency compared to designs with overhead valves.

Wow it sounds extremely nice for an 1Banger,actually more aggressive to my ears than 4cyls.

The problem is that you got 1Cylinder only which means you wont ever see a stable boost at the midlow rpm range,and also cause of exhaust restriction you might even have LESS power at the low rpm range.
