there is more than 2 species... here il name the ones i can think of bubblegum albino, blue pacman frog fantasy pacman orange phase, chocolate pacman frog and a cuple of more !!!
@Reptiledictionary225 you dont need to handle it at all, you can though, but not much since the oils in our skin can actually harm them if held to much. plus they can bite allot.
cocoanut bedding is good but when i had my pac man frog i noticed that fruit flys like to lay there eggs in the substrate and i had fruit flys every were
MY pacman just ate the first time in 3-4 months , i dont know whats up with him. his substrate is 5 inches deep and he is constantly barried under the dirt. i see him once a month if that. so i dig him up and try to feed him every 5 days. i was told 2 feed him a mouse a week originaly.but he hasnt been eatn shit.mine looks to be almost twice the size of yours
man i have 3 pac man frogs... and this one i just got was eating and it just stopped and will not eat ANYTHING! wtf... any tips i have it in some coco and its pretty deep. i do all the stuff you need 2 do?... all my other pac man frogs iv had for a loooong time and this never happend 2 me?.. and 2 top it of the fucking pet shop moved!!!! lol
Im thinking about getting a pacman frog is the heating pad the best or a uv light? Are that and managing humidity basically the most important things in order to have a healthy pacman frog beside eco dirt and what not?
yeah theres no difference just keep the bottom layer really wet and then put dryer eco-earth on top so it can't burrow all the way and burn it self....or you can just make it really deep.they prefer to partially dig and hige under plants
For every digging species it is not recommended, to put a heat mat on the ground. it's just not natural for them, if they dig and it gets warmer and warmer.
dont put the heat mat on the bottom because they burrow and if they touch it not good they burn and u should mist it but dont mist the frog directly and i hear one side should be dryer
These are the main pacman frogs in the pet trade atm, not including Megophrys Nasuta, the Malayan horned frog. The surinam is alot rarer than the other horned frogs.
@downthebeatenpath hey ive had a pacman frog for more than a year now and it hasnt grown much since ive had it. is there anything i can do to help it reach adult size
ive been with pacmans for 7 years, and everything you said was correct, except for the moss... they actually like thee moss to hide on, and if they do get it in thier mouths, and swallow it, it will pass pretty smoothly, also they cannot choke on the moss
@TheGecko1995 if u do want to hold it dont hold it often and raise pacmans from a baby if u buy as adult they are usually agressive if not tamed as a baby
I dont think you understand my packman frog threw up a golf ball no joke

pacmanfrog4724 1 year ago
mine passed away today. I was wondering if you could tell me if I did anything wrong or if I just got a sick one from petco or something.
he was 2.5 inches long so probably like 3-5 months old, I got him 2-3 months ago.
I always kept the humidity up in his cage, fed him calcium dusted crickets and a pinkie every now and then.
I did not have uvb because I didn't think they needed one, am I wrong?
The temperature was always between 75-80 and I had a heat pad.

You could put a small exo terra rainforest heat pad on the inside bottom. They don't get hot at all. Not desert though

got a question here. they can eat meal worms right? just gotta coat it with some supplement?
henryl1191 2 years ago
yes but only coat the worms every three to four feedings.
dave8594 2 years ago
sounds good to me, hopefully i can come up with a good reason to get a pacman frog.
henryl1191 2 years ago
No, they're cannibalistic. The only circumstance which you can keep two together would be if you bred them.

Good vid man learn some new stuff kwl
TifferTiffer94 2 years ago
It looked evil when you did the in tank view.
rockindafallens 2 years ago
Nope, you don't want a light for an albino one either, can hurt their skin and eyes.

reptileCG 2 years ago

how much does a 10 g tank cost
reptileCG 2 years ago
Anywhere from like 10-45 depending if you get it with a lid or not.
downthebeatenpath 2 years ago
r these easy to take care of
Ch0nch 2 years ago
Yeah very low maintenence.
downthebeatenpath 2 years ago
Awesome, im thinking about adding one to the collection.
lizardguy119796 2 years ago
um why is moss bad??
chasev27 2 years ago
When you feed it, they can ingest the moss choke on it and die, or they ingest it and can't digest it so they get impacted and die.
downthebeatenpath 2 years ago
Petsmart
downthebeatenpath 2 years ago
If it's albino you want no light, their skin and eyes are sensitive, if it's a normal you can have light if you want but it's not necessary.
downthebeatenpath 2 years ago
hey dude if you do add moss do you think it would be okay if it was put in a hide for burrowing and humity?
DinoKillar 2 years ago
No don't use moss, the eco-earth will keep it plenty humid.
downthebeatenpath 2 years ago
Temps are 72-82 sorry I didn't mention it in the vid.
downthebeatenpath 3 years ago
