have you found it to be true that younger gobblers or jakes shy away from the billy bad act?

Yeah, sometimes jakes and subordinate toms will shy away from Billy. Most of the time I won't set Billy out unless I know it's a bird that has been strutting in a certain area for a period of time or I'm sure it's a dominant bird. When they see Billy it drives em' crazy seeing another guy in his bedroom especially if you've got a hen decoy out as well. If I'm not sure about the bird I'll usually just put out 3 or 4 hens and sometimes a delinquent jake. It's a safer move for subordinate toms.

soif im hunting in an area where i know there are alot of two year old birds i shouldnt billy?

If there's a group of 2 year olds then yes you can use Billy cause alot of times they will try to run off any new gobblers. They feel alot safer about confrontation as a group. If they are split up pretty good just use the delinquent jake or hen decoys. Turkeys are a crazy fickle creature. What screws up your hunt one day may prove to be the saving grace another day!!! I try to play the averages like that. I have better luck with decoys, always have.

alright thanks, so i have been hunting these two two year old birds that are always together do you think it is safe to use billy with them?

If they seem to be keeping other birds out of the area I bet it would be a good thing. Main thing is don't do alot of calling. Once you know the birds are coming your way just let em' come. That way if they seem a bit shy of Billy then you haven't educated em' to the calling. Do your next set up on em' as close as you can with again very lil' calling and possibly only one hen decoy. That oughta do it! Let me know how it goes.

Impressive, i'm buying a gobbler and hen before season starts this April. How far away do i need to get a real turkey so i don't have to worry about hitting the decoy? being that its inflatable

Just place the decoys within 20 yards of your hunting position and on the opposite side you think the gobbler will be coming from. This way that old tom has to walk past your position to get to the decoys. If he hangs up at that infamous 50 yard mark he'll still only be 30 yards away. That is plenty close enough to stomp any turkey with any shotgun.

Dude, these decoys are the freakin' bomb!!! I usually don't get too much into the products that I film, but these damn things impressed the hell outta me. Especially when the gobblers got right in on top of em. It was like you couldn't scare em' away because the decoys weren't runnin' off.
