  • thankfully it was singers like the Seekers moreover the young lady on vocals who immortalized l only like true artists can portray the one thing we humans cherish ...........Love

  • There is a great youtube of Judith singing Georgy Girl with INXS just yesterday January 25, 2012 search for Georgy Girl, judith durham, INXS She looks great sounds great Remember it's summer now in Australia

  • oh yes we keep good memories of this song

  • That Clark Kent looking guy on the big base is a pretty cool dude !

  • Best group ever!! I just ordered a CD "The Seekers - The Ultimate Collection" from Amazon for about $14.00

  • very nice better than what they have and sing today

  • I feel like I was supposed to be apart of the 60's. Ugh. Not fair.

  • @iloveoreos15

Sorry that you missed the 60's. I did not and am so glad. Best decade ever.

  • @alchiby i love 50's and 60's music i love oldies im in my early 50's grew up with the music my point of extinction had to do with science biology the natural world religin/myth

  • I was so happy to know this Angel'"s voice is still alive and well !

  • @intelligentbullet im sorry that scientific fact/truth interfers with your mythologies/fairytales thats just too bad!if i can help my fellow man seperate mythology from reality then im serving mankind and helping out or species i know reality sometimes can be a bitter pill to swallow but lifes lesson is just because something might be nice dont always make it fact even though we would hope it did

  • @LVCrocky What exactly are you trying to say ?please enlighten me.

  • They are part of what made the 60s great

  • Just a pleasure to watch/listen to...I should get back to my homework now, lol

  • @tubelarz012 you just prove my point (denial of fatalism) no of us can beat extinction no matter how much we want to and extinction means death whether it be a species or an indv. nothing that becomes extinct lives on or comes back i know its hard for you like alot of people to accept this scientific fact (why do you thing we humans invented mythology which all the gods and all the religions of mankind period are based in

  • @LVCrocky Why don't you go preach your godlessness in another arena and leave these good people alone. Why can't you just enjoy the music and live and let live? No one here is pushing religion on you and no one cares about your theories except you.

  • @LVCrocky you sound like a very unhappy individual, the sixties music will never become extinct,it is eternal,Many songs are still being revamped 50 yrs down the line

can't see that happening with most of the garbbage belted out today. So live & let live.

  • @alchiby Wow...you are SO right..THIS and other music of the sixties and seventies will NEVER be equalled or forgotten. I'm 55 and I stiil Love this kind of music !!!!

  • yooo.....flower people..peace .........people.

  • No matter how often I hear this song, always it reminds me of my husband. Been a rough several years for him due to his health; but he is still the light and love of my life.

  • @gulfgypsy you sound like a beautiful woman, just like my wife, myself and your husband are lucky to have found the two of you. all the best

  • youll never fing "god" because it dont exsist invention of man to cope with the harsh realities of everyday life and cope with ones own personal mortality its called a denial of fatalism stephen hawkin/joseph campbell

  • @LVCrocky keep beliving that!! on your death bed youll regret it

  • @LVCrocky whatever, i know that godde does exsist. i have it too good not to think so.

  • still sends shivers ..what a voice Judeth had!

  • @taffydragon57 you mean has. She's still singing

  • @taffydragon57 you mean has, Judith Durham is alive well and still singing God Bless her !

  • @jimkos33 ROFL and I quite agree LOL

  • OOOH THE SIXTIES, I WONDER WHAT THE 2012 OLDIES WILL SOUND LIKE

  • @juan7ocotlan

    Just plain awful ):

  • What a great song and what an incredible voice! I loved them as a kid and love them as much now.

  • VERY GOOD

  • ¡Què divino canta èsta mujer!

  • Great music for today. Where are these people today? Simple love songs without the drama & mayhem of today. I was a kid when these songs came out, and I wish so that they were on the air today.

  • I was 8 yrs old when this song came out...I remember hearing it on AM RADIO

  • The end of innocense.

  • great stuff

  • This perfectly describes TRUE, DEEP, GENUINE LOVE.......

  • "there's a new world somewhere if you'll just hold my habd, there's always someone for each of us"....in these words She saved my life...drugs were but a bit of it...simply put, she IS why I live today!

  • @dumboldon I truly understand your post.....read my post.......

  • i was not a beatle fan in the 60's....not much has changed....

  • like

  • this sounds so much better than the beatles. there has to be someone from the 1960s who hated the beatles just as some people hated madonna in the 1980s.

  • @The096757 If you hated the Beatles, what did you think of the Rolling Stones?

  • I could search the whole world over until my life is through, but I know I'll never find another you. So true D:

  • @ilovemydog911 Oh how I wish..

  • thank you for posting this gem of a song...i always thought this was one of the Papas and Mamas music..Mama Cass probably would have been a core of this group if she didnt join the P&M...ahhh..usual fantasy for a music layman ...the what ifs and the what nots...hoping a revival of sorts shall be in the offing where the music from the 50'a to late 70's will be the norm of the day...(no offense..hip hop and its related genre on the sidelines after finally everyone gets weary of their sound).:))

  • She had a very unique and beautiful voice.

  • @timmytyphoon Saw the Seekers live a few months back in Newcastle, Aus. and Judith's voice is as good today as it was in the 60's.

  • @RDDhopsing7 It's becasue she at times id the voice of a Goddess...

  • We'll be at 5 million long before Valentines Day!

  • An AM radio station in Toronto with a very powerful signal - 740 on the dial - plays Seekers songs. I listen to the station overnight from here in the northeast area of the USA.

  • This is great. They were/are great!

  • I love the song and the message. This is real, raw talent! Thank You!!!

  • Her voice is absolutely beautiful!...and a great song too!!

  • Love it!

  • @cujo9

    are you mad or crazy?

  • @cujo9 The 4.5 million hits proves you need to expand your musical horizons or just STFU

  • I said this on another of the Seekers videos - if Judith was younger today and competed on any of the Idol shows she would blow them all away. Even Simon Cowell would be speechless. And forget about her not being pretty enough. She is cute and cute is better. What a wonderful smile.

  • @edwardhl1 I've always thought that Judith is BEAUTIFUL! When I was a young man back in '68 I was madly in love with her.

    Heck, I still am!

  • It maybe too late but I would like to thank those men that worked at Radio Luxembourg,Radio Caroline and Radio North sea International for playing Seekers songs and a lot of other great music for us in the 60s.What would we have done without you.Thank you.

  • @Proculled .. I am with you on that. Adored Radio Luxembourg. Especially the top 40 on a Sunday night. Usually as far under the bedclothes as possible without losing the signal! Great days!

  • @Proculled and thank you to, brings back a lot of memories yes

a nice lady with a golden voice

  • @Proculled ,you sure have a point,am able to download so much of the songs of the 60s,I wish we could have them back, just stay in that time warp ,sadly time marches on

am now a grandmother,my eldest grandchild being 10 he just loves the music of the 60s

When a song was sung back then it made sense & all of us could join in and sing and

harmonise.OH those were the days my freind we thought they'ed never end,but sadly

they did, all we have are memories of a time of innocence & love.

  • LOL What memories ... Love this song, in fact when I was about 10 years I had a party dress identicle to the one worn in this video, not sure what colour hers was, but mine was a nice cornflower blue with the white lace! Only before Christmas I was looking at some old photos from when I was at a family party. Would love to take them from my mums hom and scan them, maybe someday

  • In my life time, I've heard 2 female voices, that to me we're as close to perfection, ( perfect pitch) as one can get. These 2 are Connie Francis, and Karen Carpenter. I realize now, that it is time to make a third entry to my list. Ms Judith Durham, come and be joined with your equals. The closest to perfection as 1 can get. I'll never find another you, what a superior effort on her part and the group, and just a great song.

  • @bigbilldoh I am with you on that one mate. That finale note that she hits on this song gives me quivers every time. The two other women do likewise on their featured songs. *Thumbs up*

  • butterface?

  • i hate covers -.- new people trying to be better than the real thing -.- this is a great song and noone and especially justin fucking bieber should ruin it in now.

  • Loved this song when I proposed to my wife in England in mid-60s. Nearly 50 years later, we're still happily married and sing this together to remind us of the love we have together. The Seekers sung it so beautifully. I can't believe the idiot who thought Justin Beeper wrote it. Must be out of his mind.

  • @NSA666999 Putting something in all CAPS does not make it true. Justin did not write this song. This group wrote the song before Justin was born.

  • @NSA666999 I'm with you dog, You are so Justified! Folk OUT!

  • @NSA666999 You're kidding, right? I heard this song in the 1960s when these guys first did it. I think you were trying to see if people thought you were serious. Or something.

  • @NSA666999 The Seekers sang this in 1965 and it was written by Tom Springfield. . Get your facts straight before making an idiot out of yourself.

  • @NSA666999 i guess u r toddler...hw cn an original song be performed by a toddler like dat for u love more than this.....

  • I always think of lost sheep when I hear this song. (I'll never find another ewe).

  • this is real music

  • oh, really i'll never another you... nice song tnx uploader

  • I was devastated when they broke up. I had a photo of them in my school case with hearts all over it. In those days, we had actual cases, not any of these back-pack things.

  • god in heaven why isnt there music like this anymore ?

  • What a Beautiful Voice!!! Is this talent Or What??? Thanks for this song and Georgy Girl...........Songs of my Youth!!!!

  • @321reh When her whole body shakes with vibration, its got to be the greatest 1

  • โห่ ยังไม่เกิดเลย เพิ่งเคนเห็นหน้า ก็วันนี้แระ ฟังมานาน

  • Judy Durham....Memphis Jazz Club...Malvern..Melbourne, Australia 1963...I drank coffe with her on many occassions..a lovely person !!!

  • @shadyalan1 Where was this Jazz Club? I live in Malvern now, I'd love to know the history.

  • @vdeferens Hi....It was in the church hall next to the Police Station (which is next to the Town Hall) in Glenferrie Rd. I think it is still there. The resident band was the famous Frank Trainors Jazz Preachers and Judy sang a few sets with them. It ran from about 1962 to 1964 when jazz was replaced by "mod" music after the emergence of The Beatles. It was all very innocent compared to what goes on today !!! Let me know if you would like further info.

  • When my stepkids were young, I used to have them sing this song as I played the piano.;))

  • Judith

What a beautiful voice. You bring back some very special memories. The 60's and 70's were some of the best times. Thanks for sharing your voice. You are a special person.

  • As much as I like a variety of old and new music; a simple I love you always does it best; sure glad it doesn't get any more complicated than that - I love you Butterfly. DD

  • you class of 60s are so lucky. i'm so jealous.

  • omg i love this song :) i am 40 now and enjoying it even more today? it's so wholesome and pure sounding to me :)

  • OMG - 45 years I've thought this was the Mama and Papas. Thanks for posting.

  • @HVYMETL hee hee me to and i am black! GOD BLESS YOU TRULY!

  • They have done a few small returns her voice despite the years is still good and as distinctive.

A truly top class Singer & Band

  • Judith had one of the best voices ever. Thanks for posting this and thanks for the memories. I was 16 in '68. Life was good. Ended up in Nam in '72.

    I'd do it again.

  • Father, please forgive those that gave this a dislike, only You understand

  • The singer looks more real and more beautiful than most of today's singers.

  • @MrMrtane Judith Durham released two new albums this fall of 2011. She, as well as her fellow group members here, is a class act.

  • @howzitgoin1970

    ok :)

  • I agree with this new YOUTUBE format. I hate it.

  • The sound quality if the guitars could be better but I really like her voice and the song

  • This is a wonderful song for the holidays! And for every other day of the year, too!!

  • a wonderful example of a beautiful voice perfectly matched to a style of music

  • Has anyone else noticed that YOUTUBE is no longer keeping track of the number of hits on this and many other videos?

  • @oldstar1952 Seems like your right. It's been on this number of views for some time now.Could be with all the changes they are always doing here on youtube to make things worse for the users

  • Comment removed

  • @oldstar1952 Like 4 million, 2 hunnert and 686 thousand.

  • @oldstar1952 Absolutely me too. A am glad I am not the only one. I am starting to dislike the people behind YouTube. Why are they doing this (a new manager who has to prove himself?)

  • @oldstar1952 Yes. You are correct.

  • @oldstar1952 //now that you mention it you are correct and win ten points.

  • @oldstar1952 This may be how they drive up the counts on current music. I wish they would just report the truth.

  • @oldstar1952 I'll have to check later. Right now it's at 4,415,546.

  • @oldstar1952 Can we say "PAYOLA"? LOL.

  • Great voice and song. Time sure flies bye ...

  • @Proculled THEY COMPLETELY CHANGED MY CHANNEL, PUT IN THINGS I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE. AND I CAN NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO REMOVE THEM. NICE JOB YOUTUBE. MAYBE YOU SHOULD RUN FOR PUBLIC OFFICE

  • @oldstar1952 It used to be if you liked a comment (or disliked it), you could go to a person's youtube page and learn something about the person. Now that personal information has been removed. They should give the youtube user the option of posting or not postiing personal info. If people posted the personal info, it should still be there. Now youtube has deleted the personal info. Disappointing.

  • bonita canción :D

  • Liked this song & group .

  • What a Great Song and what Beautiful Lady with a Beautiful Voice. And @ moopy239 I second that.

  • So nostalgic...it actually hurts.

  • What memories..Vietnam and the Seekers. When I was their it was music like this that got me threw it..How can you ever thank them or do they know how much it meant...

  • Nora Aunor version is better...

  • Judith just sang in the Sydney Carols in the Domain.

Man, she still has it! She's 68 and she sounded fabulous!

  • Voice of an ANGEL!!!

  • @davidson2004fatboy And that's no exaggeration!!! What a beautiful sound her voice makes. It's just uncanny.

  • ummm, I'm thinking Godess. That's it, and she is.

  • what, no auto-tune? talented people playing musical instuments and really singing. what a concept.

  • @tl52 It'll never catch on.

  • One of Australia's bes ever products

  • 89 people are missing the tattoos ...

  • This song reminds me of Vic he's dying from cancer :(

  • I love their harmonies--so majestic yet peaceful.

  • Ahh...reminds me of the time before English was a foreign language in Australia.

  • @MrGoblin60 Mate just before that English WAS a foreign language in Australia, before it was invaded and conquered in cold blood and in contravention of all prevailing international law. You'd like to bring back the White Australia Policy, right? Right.

  • 88 people never found another you.

  • @sabaurae LOL..............Losers!

  • if buddy holly and steve allen had a baby he would look just like the bass player

  • @wilcarr1 Millions... millions...

  • @wilcarr1 WELL YOU CAME BACK AND SO DID I... MUST BE A REASON FOR US BEING HERE TO CARRY ON???

  • 88 people have found another you.

  • Someone confused this with the Mamas and the Papas. Too bad the Mamas and Papas didn't cover it. They would surely have done a great job. The Searchers created a classic, the Mamas and Papas might have created a second classic.

  • I remember this do well and the only song my dad could sing was "morning town ride"

  • wow do i feel like a horses ass i always thought that this was the mommas & poppas

  • @aeroliner750 let me feel

  • Lovely!!! I can never tire of this song!

  • A fantastic voice!!!

  • wow wonderful memoreis, thank you for posting x

  • From a time when music was real and an era that passed all too quickly.

  • Judith Durham is as good a person as you will ever find.......and has a voice to match

  • @proculled,thanks a million for uploading this rare clip. Judith Durham is God sent.

  • Songs like this made life bearable on the log flume back in 'Nam.

  • Hey, I was with the 173rd airborne 67 to 68 in Nam, they really do not make songs like this anymore.......god bless all of us that went and came home

  • @derekvau I remember those days too. Hope this finds you well.

  • great you dont get em like them now

  • @wilcarr1 thankse for your service brother glead you made it back still distresses me of those who did nt including my cousin Bruce Dunham i was in country 68 69 82nd take care we made it back for a reason

  • Timeless classic, so 60s, fab.

  • I have hear that this song was stolen from an old Scottish farmer back in the late 50's when the bass player was walking down a rural lane on his way to school and overheard old Angus MacGregor singing it out by his corral behind his shed ....of course the original version by Angus was "Another ewe"

  • @raedwulfone don't bullshit

  • i got here by searching what should i search on youtube o_o

  • Independientemente de esta maravillosa canción y de la extraordinaria voz de Judith Durham, ya no se ven trabajos de edición como estos. Sencillamente una joya de la televisión de esos años.

  • Thank you for uploading. I loved the Seekers then and I still do. Imagine a female singer who entertains while wearing clothes. What a concept.

  • @Flyforliving Too true (hence funny!) = I guess one needn't disrobe onstage if you've a great singing voice?!

  • an era of pure talent...unadulterated by so much electronic gadgets...
