Good mis-information in your video.....Bale became very frustrated at the lighter who was shifting lights around in Bale's field of vision take after take while Bale's was trying to act out an important and (for a terminator film) emotionally charged scene......this wasn't a once off thing.....this was take after take and Bale had previously asked the guy many times to stop moving lights because he was distracting......and the guy just didn't listen or didn't care.

Hmm, it is my uneducated understanding that, though Heath did a spectacular job in his portrayal of the Joker, it was not a result of method acting as such. I am a method actor. Yes, method has had some averse psychological affects on some people. It's rare. One of my teachers had a friend who went nuts. That's because when they were in a role, they refused to be called by any name other than the name of their character, even in their personal life. That's crazy. Hmm, it is my uneducated understanding that, though Heath did a spectacular job in his portrayal of the Joker, it was not a result of method acting as such. He was simply an imcredibly gifted and talented actor enjoying a marvellous performance of a complicated character. Whatever the facts are of his tragic death, I don't actually know any details, beyond that the 'method acting' thing was an insensitive tabloid creation based on nothing more than the need to sell a story...

And another thing. you cannot say that heath ledger was a method actor, he was capable of popping in and out of the character almost at will. The tragic part of his death was that he took perscription sleeping medication, because working on a film for five to six months, where your scenes take place at night, you're gonna have problems sleeping. His death was entirely accidental. It wasn't because he was a method actor portraying the joker. Don't add your two cents unless you know the score.

That is one of the worst things anyone can say about the whole situation. When christian talks says "you don't know what it's like working with actors" you don't. try this for me, be angry, yell for about three hours, now change your clothes and cry, on command, for the next five. while you do that, i'm gonna wave my arms around in your face. and do it right, because each time you mess up, it costs thousands of dollars to add more film, and reset the scene.

The method is indeed a hard way to act specially if you can't handle it. I believe (can't tell for sure) Daniel Day Lewis is a meth actor too. He doesn't drop his character until a few months after the shooting. This brings serious problems to his personal life, with his family, and other job opportunities.

The idea that Ledger died as a result of his role in The Dark Knight was debunked a long time ago, when he was cited saying that it only took him 15 minutes to come up with how he was going to play the role. You need to do more research before you quote the psychological nonsense spewed by celebrity news shows. I will agree with you though, Bale's a dick.

method acting isn't acting. if you have to actually live in a cave for a week to act like you've lived in a cave, (like the actor DID in the Last of the Mohicans) then you're not acting; it means you can't PRETEND, which is what acting is. Does that mean you have to kill someone to play a killer? Good, well-adjusted actors use "as-if" statements to get into a role.

I am a method actor. Yes, method has had some averse psychological affects on some people. It's rare. One of my teachers had a friend who went nuts. That's because when they were in a role, they refused to be called by any name other than the name of their character, even in their personal life. That's crazy. Method was not intended to be taken that far, and rarely is it taken that far. Hearing about this and then attributing every bad thing a method actor does to method acting is not objective.

The method can be a dangerous method. In fact, supposedly Dustin Hoffman who often uses this technique can take weeks to shake off characters (i,e. "Rainman"). But Heath Ledger was very depressed and that is the main cause of his demise as opposed to the method!
