There is an air of Givenchy in the 60's in this collection; some of the toga dresses (particularly the one on Kasia & Anabella @ 1:54) are reminiscent of dresses he did for Breakfast at Tiffany's. What better era and designer to channel? In Breakfast at Tiffany's, the character Rusty Troller also looks a bit like a blonde Alber. This is a fabulous, spirited, elegant collection; the following fall 08 was even more impressive, though. He is adesigner whose collections I always greatly anticipate.

Absolutely breath taking! I loved the spring 2008 collection! It's original, feminine, flirty, sophisticated, and wearable. It even has some boyish design which are so in this year. All I can say is Lanvin has done it yet again.

So GORGEOUS i could cry. He is one of THE most talented designers ever. His clothes are so sophisticated and extremely well cut, it's almost unbelievable. I loved the use of bold colors on the party dresses and the balloon gowns. Lanvin should be very happy with this genius!

alber is just superb. he captured fluidity, color, practicality, and a soaring kind of simplicity. his stand-alone dresses were masterpieces of cutting, plus the colors were just fab. very well put, probably my favorite collection of the season.

I agree, simplicity is so much better, I like tailored cuts, silhouettes, and muted tones like navy, black, brown and white with just random introductions of red or blue
