I think the average tiger can beat the average lion personally buuut because there's more lions, there's plenty of above average males (we'll say pride leaders)..and I think they're basically even if not a slight edge to the lion based off of them fighting more lions..tigers dont really fight each other as much due to their solitary nature. Pound/pound tigers are more capable hunters. In a 'fair fight' the lions more often win if he's within 50 lbs weight of the male tiger. I'd say in swamps or swimming, tigers from wet biomes win even against the biggest lions.

i think, physically there might be some differences, but i also think they are genetically the same animal, they just physically adapted a little different according to their environments (darwinism maybe). Just like humans adapted in different parts of the world. You can say all you want about who fights better, who is taller, and who is stronger but that doesn't make any of these animals superior to the other.

I think the average tiger can beat the average lion personally buuut because there's more lions, there's plenty of above average males (we'll say pride leaders)..and I think they're basically even if not a slight edge to the lion based off of them fighting more lions..tigers dont really fight each other as much due to their solitary nature. Plus a huge mane makes a diff...like punching someone with a huge jacket imo. Lion is still the king of beasts because it proves it.

@NearHypnos tigers don't need to always fight, they're apex predator, who would challenge them anyway? but they do fight for territorial places, and believe me, they would need to have good fighting techniques because tigers kill 1500 lb brown bears and crocodiles! lions are good fighters but they get subdued easily.

Actually the Tiger jad three balls. When it saw the Lion it wanted an extra ball transplanted so it took one of the posters balls (poster doesn't need it anyway). The one from the poster was really small like halh a peanut shell. So the Tiger had 2.05 balls. The Tiger is a male ---just much less striong than the Lion.

I''m not taking sides, but I think the fact that I was born and raised in a boxing family I can have some input. The swipe from the tiger that was supposed to have broken the lion's neck and jaw didn't have any leverage behind it and the lion rolled with it to avoid it's full impact. That swipe couldn't have done any damage other than to have scratched the lion. Thanks.

it's obviously there were 2 more lions used in fight. they looks huge different especially your can easily tell the first one is thiner and scary mane, another one is bigger stronger, and the third one definitely had light colored mane no black color mane on it's head.

Male lions are evolved to fight other big cats to dominate prides. Tigers evolved to hunt alone. Pound/Pound, male lions are probably better on average at fighting other cats. Pound/pound tigers are more capable hunters. In a 'fair fight' the lions more often win if he's within 50 lbs weight of the male tiger. I'd say in swamps or swimming, tigers from wet biomes win even against the biggest lions.

They are not the same animal, a tiger as a 400lb bite force stronger than the lion, the lion is estimated to be %66 as strong as the tiger, fore limb measurements are different and the tiger's are closer in built to smilodon making it shorter than the lion at the shoulder. Common ancestor yes, but the tiger evolved after the lion and it had to be stronger to face the competition alone vs the support of a pride.

The Tiger possesses bigger and stronger muscles used for running, climbing, and fighting. Male Lions do have some girth but only move it when they're fighting for territory and probably lot of their weight is made up of the mane.

i think, physically there might be some differences, but i also think they are genetically the same animal, they just physically adapted a little different according to their environments (darwinism maybe). Just like humans adapted in different parts of the world. You can say all you want about who fights better, who is taller, and who is stronger but that doesn't make any of these animals superior to the other.
