this is a recording of a live performance that recreated a 1908 performance by Loie Fuller who innovated the use of light and projection in choreography and is not intended to be just an illustration of the music.
This is what I love to visualize when I hear the music of Scriabin, especially Prometheus. Lots of color as he would have wanted displayed. She ought to be proud of herself complementing the music with such beautiful display!
Idealistic and colorful, but there is a LOT missing in this production. More dancers for one, lack of fast movement on certain segments, and background improvement. Otherwise, it was an outstanding choice to pick Scriabin, but like I said, the fire should have been 3-D effect and expanded with a plot that would be exotic, exciting, and acceptable. I hope this helps, because its not meant to hurt at all.
Mesmerizing and fascinating!
