  • @PUNI3SH3R This one seriously dipped in price because they got the 550 out.

  • @zver711 But I still think this card is good for gaming... for a couple of years I guess.

  • @zver711 would this card run every game on max its basicly the same thing but different brand its a

i can send you a link very little difference

  • I have a Gigabyte GTS 450OC2. Core clock:930 MHZ , Memory clock:4000MHZ!!

  • I need help!!! If I have a dual link DVI port and a HDMI port. Can I Use two monitors on the dual link port and my TV in the HDMI port. I do not buy the card yet because I don't know which one to but.

  • Just checked on the website and it says you need at least a 400 watt psu.

  • If I had a 300w power suplly would I be able to run it

  • @circusmagurcus You need a minimum of a 550W supply to run that card.

  • @dotZodiac

he said 550 for sli, the manufacturer recommends at least a 400w psu that can put out 22 amps

  • So, which better? ASUS GTX 450 TOP or EVGA GTX 450 SC? i having hard time to choose whether asus or evga better..

  • @OiShiRaZ Yeah...I would too :) These are my two brands of choice. However I never seen the Asus GTX 450 (are you sure its GTX and not GTS?), read about it or seen a video of it. I prefer to stick to the GTX for gaming, GTS is for budget gaming and I can spare of few dollars for my little self :). This card went into a client's build, and I've never heard from him since. I must have done something right :) Read the specs on those cards and compare them, and reviews from reputable sites.

  • @OiShiRaZ

    sry, its gts

  • @OiShiRaZ i just bought the asus gts 450 from newegg i havent gotten it yet should be here friday :) everthing i read about it and saw sais they both are pretty much the same really i had a hard time shoosing so i just picked the asus haha coz my mother board in my rig is a asus

  • sexi well spent 140 bucks :)

  • How is putting this card onto AMD a warning?

  • @Zillamp3z AMD moherboards with their AMD chipsets sometimes have issues if you put a brand new Nvidia card on them, especially if you're planning to use SLI. And vice-versa. Sometimes you have to wait till driver fix comes out.

  • Your voice sounds like a mafioso

  • @RainK9 Leave me your address and I'll prove to you that there is no such thing as mafia.

  • @zver711

    Still cool though

  • @RainK9 Oh, I agree.

  • Could you tell me how much "power" does it consume... ?

I got a StealthXStream 2 - 600 W power supply.. And I'd like to try a 2 x GTS 450 SC SLI .... But i'm afraid that the power supply wont be able to handle it.

    Thanks in advance.

  • @InuPf For future info always check manufacturer's site for specs.

    "Requirements

Minimum of a 400 Watt power supply.

(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 22 Amps.) "

Your PSU might not "cut it" for the SLI, but I'd check on EVGA's or some overclockers forums, etc.

  • Im going to buy this card within this week, What is the difference between the superclocked and regular GTS450.

  • @MrMok8 Slighter higher shader and memory clocks, I don't exactly remember. You can check Newegg site for example and check in the "details" how much exactly. The price difference is small too. SC edition, technically is just a slight factory overclock.

  • ok so i bought a palit gts450 512mb but IT DOESNT HAVE A SLI PORT 0.o how can i sli it -.-

  • @noobcontroll You can solder it to another Palit GTS 450, put them quietly into a garbage bag and stomp on them, and get yourself EVGA cards, which I'm reviewing here...O'k?

  • @zver711 @noobcontroll

I got an EVGA GTS 450 SC, it's awesome for the price. Really love it.

  • @Kexzee Yeah, for the money, you can't go wrong, plus EVGA usually means quality.

  • Quick question, does this card have DX11 support? Because I am getting a new PC and I'm choosing the graphics cards and I'm not quite sure. Thanks! :)

  • @Spezza149 Yes it does. Card came out in Oct. 2010 I believe.

  • @zver711

    Thank you so much!

  • @Spezza149 You're welcome!

  • thx for vid man..

  • @ramirez1mirek Always welcome.

  • okay i play World of Warcraft i have a shitty card so i cant play at even 1/4 settings so of course i cant play games like Call of duty how good would this card play World of Warcraft and what other games can it play

  • @draesson It would be perfect for playing games like call of duty and wow..

but it also depends on your processor and ram.

  • @xSmashxBlackops Thanks for replying to this dude, sometimes I think I have to reply to everything and I'm overwhelmed with other stuff :)

  • @zver711 No worries man I like to help out and I've subbed too

Hopefully getting myself a AMD Phenom II x6 3.0 ghz soon cant wait to get my greedy hands on one XD

  • @xSmashxBlackops Thanks. That thing does have a very good bang for a buck :)

  • Thanks for the info but i am concerned about some reviews some users put on Newegg and tiger Direct in which card reportedly failed within a day or a couple weeks. Have you had any such problems? Thanks in advance.

  • @intercepter1 Those reviews are written by people with nothing better to do, or bitter people who got themselves a lemon. I never post a comment now if everything is fine with a product, but if something is wrong - oh, boy! I have to say that I had this card for only couple of days, then I put it into the client's PC, after doing this review and some benchmarks. The fact that I haven't heard from this guy for a month or so is a good sign, no?

  • @zver711 Holy geeezzzzz- that was fast! Thanks for your quick response. Please keep us up to date if something does happen. This card seems to a good bargain with the rebate and I am seriously considering getting it. Thanks again.

  • @intercepter1

Just remember - I purchased the card by myself. No one sent it to me, no one payed me to do this video, so don't go blaming me for recommending it - this is not a commercial for EVGA, nVidia or anything as such. I mean if this guy tells me that the card burned or died I can post it in the description section or something, but again...electronics do DIE. I have an AGP card from 2002 that still works, and tomorrow a GTX 580 someone bought today is gonna croak. You can't be certain.

  • @zver711 Thank you for your candor. I am really not trolling and I am not trying to imply anything improper or dishonest. I apologize if you think that is the case. I am just trying to make a educated decision based in part on user imput. I really appreciate all these types of videos without which I would really be in the dark. Thanks again.

  • @intercepter1 Yeah, I know, its not a problem.

  • Please tell me how it works!! interested in buying one

  • @EpicFork Like I said in my other comments - this was in my hands for a couple of days, and then it was installed into client's PC I put together for him and sold off. I heard its overclocks well, and you can buy two to run in SLI. Although I'd recommend strongly that if you have the cash for 2 of these in SLI, just maybe get a more expensive card (GTX series for example), and when you can afford - buy a second card. DX 11 support - my EVGA GTX 280 FTW DOESN'T have it!

  • I like your accent.

  • @munkycheeeeeez DO go on! :)

  • @zver711 Well it sounds VERY awesome! =D

  • i have a 350 power supply will that be okay?

  • @s1n001

Start paying attention to what I'm saying in the video, starting 5:15 minutes. Your answer will be "revealed".

  • @zver711 haha ;D

  • @zver711

I plan to buy this card today because my 8800gt crapped out. What are your thoughts on the GTS 450 SC now? (Drivers, Frames ect..)

    Thanks!

  • @Aztech355

My thoughts on the card are exactly the same since I put it into clients' PC and he took it away. I do not own this card, so I can't be any more of help. Check out some forums. I heard its a good stable card and its good for overclocking, but I had not chance to work on it.

  • @Aztech355 its an awsome card altho i bought the gigabyte version of the card and i was able to overclock the card from 810Mhz to 920Mhz core clock without increasing the voltage, insain 4-10fps increase!

  • @s1n001 Thought i would let every1 know im running it off 350 watts fine, high setting on starcraft 2 and many other fps games... min is not 400watt, not trolling just wanna inform the viewers

  • @s1n001

I put the card into someones machine, with a 750 Watt PSU, which was quite cheap. When I say "400 Watt minimum" I didn't pull this number out of my ass, I found it on the EVGA spec section. The rating depends on the overall power requirements of the whole system. If it works for you - its fine. Someone, who maybe OC his CPU and RAM and god knows what, having multiple HDDs (I have 5-6 in one PC usually), may not have a stable system with lower then recommended wattage.

  • Looks like a very nice card. I know the GT460 cards are a beast. So the 450 should be a very good all around card.

  • @FUzzyBUnnyBOoties

Yeah...I benched this card (video coming) on 1920x1080 and i think I needed to lower my resolutions. This card, however good, is not for the top options. They released a 430 and I don't think you can do ANYTHING with that one, except watch video, so 450 is the lowest tier in gaming in my book.

  • @zver711 I imagine at them resolutions that the card may have some trouble keeping up. To be honest I run all my games at 1024 X 768. As long as it will do that with a desent frame rate and lots of eye candy. I am happy :-)

  • What games do you play on that and how do they perform?

  • @taylort123

Can't really say. I installed this card into a new PC yesterday and today the customer picked it up. He asked me to install some games of his, but I only can find out later. Try Googling or check some YouTube videos, some channels are specifically about gaming. I own a different card myself.

  • @zver711 What card do you play on then and what games do you play? I'm trying to find a good budget card at least a 9600GT or above under $150

  • @taylort123

All my hardware is in my channel description. I game on EVGA GTX 280 FTW. It was top card maybe 2 years ago, and its still good for everything I play on it. Battlefield series, COD series, L4D series, Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway, Silent Hunter 4&5, Distant Guns, etc. My card isn't made anymore and its not gonna support DX 11 but its still a good exspensive card.

  • @taylort123

Cards like 9800GT or EVGA GT 240 are around 90-110 dollar range, if you can get up to 150, then this GTS 450 is one of the best bets. Its the best bet below the 150 dollar range out of the DX 11 cards for nVidia, OR you can go with ATI cards, and I don't know them too well. There is a good site where you can compare prices and specs - "gpureview" dot com. So try there.

  • @zver711 I'm trying to go with Nvidia because I mainly play Half Life 1, Half Life 2 and Orange Box Engine games which unfortunately, ATI takes their sweet ass time fixing bugs for.

Nice review though. I guarantee you would get more views though if you shut that fan off :P

  • @taylort123

Fuck yeah, that card will handle both HL1 and 2 easy, I love them too.

    Wait, what fan?

  • @zver711 Hit me up with your Steam name and maybe we can play sometime...

There's something running in the background. Maybe an air conditioner?

  • @taylort123

Sorry dude, the last thing played in multiplayer was Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2 and mods. No time even. I don't have Steam either. Yeah, the AC fan might of been on, but you can hear everything clearly. Plus I live next to the elevated subway line, so the noise is always present...plus the damn neighbors, etc.
