Antonio Pinto was the perfect man to do the soundtrack for this documentary, all the songs are perfect and as for Ayrton Senna, it will take a lot of generations before someone like him will be born, an absolute genius in F1 and an absolute symbol for Brasil. Even today Ayrton Senna is moving and changing people.
Ayrton Senna da Silva is not only good drive , he was kindly , friendly , modest , honorary person with big P. This MAN changed world-sport , lifes of million people and MY LIFE.
To me, i don't think it was an Accident, i think Senna did it to prove a point about safety in F1, though he made the greatest sacrifice for the Sport, he has saved F1's credability and since then, nobody has died in Formula 1, a credit to a great motorsporting Hero!
If you say the life of one driver was more important than another, you're not a racer. You don't know what the fans, family, friends, teammates, and even rivals lose when any driver (or rider) dies. Those who truly have a passion for racing always show sympathy when one falls. The grasp of death can not be outrun, it is as simple as that. The drivers around the world who keep racing despite the danger live more every lap than those who never take the chance.
this is the music playing when the movie is showing him right after crashing. it gives such a huge feeling of loneliness to see him dying inside the cockpit, its a very sensitive soundtrack, very touching.
Never before have I heard a soundtrack that brings me to the brink of tears every time.
Every time I watch this I can just see in my mind a wrecked Williams-Renault with an inert driver with a yellow helmet lying inside it. I remember watching San Marino 1994 and I always feel exactly how I felt when I found out Ayrton had died when I listen to this, that is the saddest part for me :(
Come back Ayrton! F1 is never same without you my idol. Your wise words have taught me lessons about life and with my other account i have even made tributes about you to make people remember you as great person.
I miss you forever, without your words my life would not have same things it has now.
Rest In Peace
Ayrton
we all miss you great champion..
we will see when my time comes and hopefully in world of dreams..
they now are probably having great talking about racing with Ayrton, in place where there is no longer pain or bad things.
i heard about Marco's death just hours after it happend and first said: No way.. Simoncelli..?
and instantly felt like i couldn't believe that now he was gone. Wheldon's death was total surprise but didn't expect that Marco would die too. hopefully he didn't feel pain.
@Cynderfan35 Yea, i watched the indy race live that sunday nite. i cried, when they announced dan's death. i was 7 when Senna died. but my heart sank, when i heard the news that Simoncelli died in the moto gp race, last weekend. I was happy to see that the F1 community, paid there respect and tributes to Marco & Dan.
This is just beautiful... Astoundingly beautiful.. :')
But I am so frustrated how I can't find any names to the music that appear in the film. It's the music just after he got the third World Championship that is bugging me the most. Please can anyone pinpoint it? =/
1 more thing, honestly, i've noticed that on videos regarding Senna the people commenting are serious and respectful. People are'nt joking around, here they are honest and loving just wish it was like this in every video on youtube.
also the most moving song I have ever heard, it's an incomplete masterpiece.
AYRTON SENNA A LEGEND THAT WILL GROW AND GROW. I AMONGST THE MILLIONS OF SENNA FANS WILL NEVER FORGET THE GREAT MAN AND LEGEND THAT HE IS. AYRTON WE MISS YOU TILL THIS DAY YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. MY NUMBER 1 HERO MY NUMBER 1 IDLE.
when the politic is not involved, also the music is beautiful... this song is really beautiful and really gives you the same feeling that you feel when you see the movie.
ever our generation had a better hero to admire? i don't think so. he was a great Brazilian but more over was an amazing and astonishing human being, capable of unbelievable compassion and extraordinary skills. he should be considered the ultimate Man.. a role model for all of us that still walk this planet!
Ayrton Senna is not just the best F1 driver ever, but was also a good man, who helped to educate the children of Brasil. He was a fantastic human being, and for me, he is a real life superhero. Was, Is and will be forever. Ayrton never dies
NEWS FLASH: i just came back from karting and i won when i win i listen to this song or the credits song to the movie and look at Senna on wikipedia i just realised i was born on the same day as him 21st of march thats an omen i have to get to f1 if you know someone who runs a company please tell me about them maybe i will be the new senna i have never lost a race since i started
@zacho6661 You must be really full of yourself to say that you could be the next Senna, there can only be imitations of him, pale copies but no one will EVER be as good as he is because he single handedly changed F1. Think before you post stuff.
@AyrtonSennaFan97 sorry dude had a headrush at the time :) no senna will always be the best and i or anybody else can best him i am sorry for any anger this may have caused
Im getting so sad listening to this song, im 16 years old so i never saw Senna drive but my dad showed me the movie 4 weeks ago and now it feels like i knew him...
If you guys watch the 2:43 uncut version there are a lot of extra, amazing interviews. Especially with Prost. At first, he comes off as even more of an asshole. Then at the end when Senna writes the message "Alain we miss you" Prost gets visibly upset when he thinks back to that weekend and he wonders why Ayrton wrote that. After all they went through together, in the end, they became close. I think Prost came to realize he wronged Senna and regretted it.
@myautomobilefunk Its not true that everyone forgets Ratzenberger. This movie is dedicated to Ayrton Senna, to his memory, to what he achieved in motor racing. If you see the movie, there is also coverage of the Ratzenberger tragedy, and how it affected Senna. I still feel sick thinking of that weekend, and i still remember ratzenberger too.
@myautomobilefunk nobody forgot it was a dark weekend for F1 two drivers one just was loved a little bit more but everyone felt the sorrow of Senna for Ratzenberger

Why are you not making their death a big deal as well instead of only Ratzenberger? They were human being too, just that did not die on a weekend in '94. The fact is Senna actually makes us remember Ratzenberger and not make us forget him. If Senna did not die that same weekend, would you have remembered Ratzenberger death and Barichello accident?
We'll never forget Ratzenberger! And the austrian flag, what they found in Ayrton's car, after both of the died at the day, when F1 was ended for me... :(
I have the last two days frenetic searched after the song wich plays 01:05:30 in the movie when are returning to Brazil. Is it someone who knows that bossa song? Please :)
@plica06 OMFG i watched senna months ago and when i heard that song i searched for days looking for this song but couldnt find it .... and today i decided to give it another crack and here i am THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!!!!

This is the song by Antonio Pinto from "Behind The Sun" movie. Pinto used couple of his songs in the Senna movie, like Night Shift and First Target (from Collateral movie) or Secret Room and Perfect Justice (from A Perfect Stranger movie).
I've been criticized because I'm an atheist and have Ayrton Senna as my favorite driver, but I can't see what religion has with this to do.
Yes, he was a christian, but so what!? He was still the most amazing racing driver ever, and it wasn't thanks to God. It was thanks to himself...
