I have a 2001 F-250 with over 310,000 miles on the original engine and it's still going strong. Other than routine maintenance I have never done anything to it. Actually I've noticed that these tug of wars usually come down to who guns it, and who waits for the other guy to spin his tires, and then just pulls the other one.
All this shows is that the Tundra had more friction than the Chevy (provided it's on a level surface). Things that could affect it are tires, tire pressure, locking diffs, weight, amount of wheel spin, traction control, what kind of start the truck got, anything on the pavement, high or low gearbox selected, etc. Let me grab a couple tons rock to throw in my '91 chevy 1500 4x4 and I will win a tug-of-war against ANYTHING on that lot.

I've personally examined a tundra LIMITED and It is horrible. the inside is completely boxy, none of the interior styles match and the doorhandles are made of cheap hollow plastic. The exterior is just as bad, a ugly unnecessary wide body gives this truck a bad rep in styling. Besides Toyota has only been in the truck business for less than a decade and GM, Ford and Dodge have been in it from the start. All this Toyota crap, for 10 grand more than...

All this shows is that the Tundra had more friction than the Chevy (provided it's on a level surface). Things that could affect it are tires, tire pressure, locking diffs, weight, amount of wheel spin, traction control, what kind of start the truck got, anything on the pavement, high or low gearbox selected, etc. Let me grab a couple tons rock to throw in my '91 chevy 1500 4x4 and I will win a tug-of-war against ANYTHING on that lot.

The power has everything to do with transfer case, transmission and rear differential which is all way more heavy duty than the toyota. I remember my first beer so you better but your training wheels back on Mr. 0.7 liter engine much more powerful (because engine is only thing in truck aside from wheels). The reason the silverado lost is because Toyota dosen't have the balls to go against the silverado 5.3 because the 5.3 will smoke the toyota all day. Also, the tundra is in 4 wheel drive, and the silverado is in two wheel drive IN A REAL TEST THE SILVERADO WOULD WIN!!!!

Toyota does not know how to make trucks. I've personally examined a tundra LIMITED and It is horrible. the inside is completely boxy, none of the interior styles match and the doorhandles are made of cheap hollow plastic. The exterior is just as bad, a ugly unnecessary wide body gives this truck a bad rep in styling.
