I'm not sure if a game has ever reached the same amount of feeling that the LBA series did. It was clearly made with lots of heart!

It's actually challenging at times, it has a great story, interesting characters and a true feeling of adventure!

You can only imagine the amount of joy when I found out how to make them work on my computer. Truly something in my childhood that was dearly missed...

@ermaslv44 Chillax dude, and get your facts straight. The first mainstream "3d' game was wolvenstein 3d and not doom. And doom was released on December 2003 and LBA followed a couple of months later. BTW: The wolvenstein, doom and Duke nukem engine could not really process true-3d and had to use sprites for objects. This while LBA2 had large outdoor maps with everything in 3d. LBA has nothing to do with Doom, and Im glad for that.

This game is awesome this is what I wanted in my real life a woman to love and a home and meaning with my life :) was early xD wel I found that woman but she got raped and changed badly now she has a kid and its not mine :( she chose another lifestyle and regrets it even today. When my uncle bought his first computer in 1998 he had this game for free with it, I was 7 years old and we used to play it together, 12 years on im still listening to the music featured in it. Its funny how computer games can do that to you. Got the soundtrack on my ipod now :)

So where's my copy of LBA 3? FFS! Can't someone make it... sadface. Amazing game, amazing soundtrack. It defines my childhood. I was playing this as a kid, 7 years old, with my mum actually. She was telling me what we should do, where to go, and occasionally checked a walkthrough. Whilst I played. A great bonding experience. Fantastic game, there's really no words

Funny thing, I also played this when I was young and I didn't really understand that much of English - and yes, my mum also helped :P And we only used the walkthrough when we couldn't find the (green? yellow? orange?) key fragment on that...uh, the island where you found the gasogem. Oh, and we didn't have internet, so we used a walkthrough from some kind of newspaper..I WANT TO FIND IT NOW :P

They did, but I also know the man behind LBA games Frederick Raynal said it's not impossible to have a third game. In fact he said he would present this idea to publishers, and the biggest problem may be the fact that this kind of adventure games with less action than mainstream titles such as Zelda might not be very successful, sadly.

In fact Frédérick Raynal constantly mentions he speaks with publishers about LBA3 (read interviews at Magicball Network, the LBA fan site), no development for it so far, just ideas and possibilities. But I wonder if it's all smoke and mirrors, he's working for Ubisoft now and I hardly believe they care about his projects.

LBA 3 does not have an offical website, its all ultra-fan-based dedicated sites where members spend their time playing "who can guess the quote". Okay uhh from here you have to understand that Adeline Software (the developers of this game) have been shut down for some time now. I've spoken to Phillipe Vachey and he claims to be working on a new project in India. Finally, there's a guy on youtube who is posting videos of his work on a recreation of Citadel Island with very advanced graphics.
