  • @donze52 oh no it is my little joke because I am home schooled.

  • @Barncops

glad to hear, sure dont want ya in trouble.

the nation need your work and future labors

  • I always have two knives on me at and away from school.

  • @Barncops

not wise to break laws, as those in power can destory our future.

and we will need you tomorrow

  • when i was in school i always had a knife on me, i had a military field jacket and had it put in a chest pocket and never been found with it, but it always came in handy at lunch when a bag of chips dint want to open or a slimjim pack that dint want to open.

  • @dipinprint

yep back in the 1950's most every kid had a small folding blade.

the key is education as I did with my knife safety talks to kids.

also you may enjoy my video

    (zero tolerance in McCook, Nebraska)

    thanks for contact

  • If children are going to use knifes to kill each other then i dont have a lot of respect for parents these days. And banning them at school wont help.

  • @ortsa123

I know of no minor in our area to ever kill another child with a knife, we have more danger with

firearm accidents. but you show wisdom as many parents give knives to kids without training

little different than giving a kid a box of matches with training,

that is why for decades I have give little knife safety talks.

    thanks for contact..

  • I carried a knife to high school everyday. Why? Because it was a vocational school and a requirement in my shop. : )

  • @RememberThe1776

A blade should always be a tool first, and the last thing a weapon

    thanks for contact

  • @donze52 I do a few times, mostly when there are race fights the brake out, but not all the time, the first time was when i was 4, i had a little swiss army knife in my pocket from the day before and forgot it was in my pocket lol, i never got cought. I use it as a tool, but if i have to i will defend my life with it

  • @weponspec1682

pray you never need it for war, but if that is the mindset, it take a lot of practice,

I worked with my girls most of 4 years to get them up to holding their own if push came blood

    have a nice holdiay

  • @donze52 I have had a lot of practice, but you can never have enough practice. I have practiced since i was 10, so about 8 years, but there is always stuff to learn.

Have a Happy Holiday to you to

  • @weponspec1682

sounds like your a good blade man, keep the dark side behind you

and think about the wild critters and how they survive and you'll

live to tell stories as I do when you get old.

  • @donze52 Thank you, I hope to make it to old age

  • @donze52 Do you sharpen your knives your self? I do, i sharpen them by hand with a old stone my grampa gave me, i tought my self how to, and i can almost get them as sharp as a razor blade

  • @weponspec1682

yep I sharpen, but got an electric wheel and polisher to turn put on an edge.

  • @weponspec1682

yep I sharpen, but got an electric wheel and polisher to turn put on an edge.

just use common sence of what you do, and how you use it, and who knows you got it.

never show a friend your blade for tomorrow he maybe an enemy

  • I took a knife to school every day, that was as recent as five years ago. The only time I ever got into any trouble it was when I got caught stickin' it in the ceiling (which was definitely both immoral & irresponsible). Even then it was for hurting the ceiling, not the knife.

  • @BillyJoe1305

many do take blades to school, not wise at this time for sure.

if you get caught, it goes on your record, and that is the last thing you want.

perhaps some day they will teach knife safety course in school, as I do now with youth groups

    but until then

best not to make G men your enemy yet.

  • The total lack of exposure to any item does not allow the subject to gain any respect for said item. Therefore all you have to base your knowledge on is equivalent to urban legend, and we all know how reliable that is. I always have at least three examples of bladed tools on me at any one time.

  • @d37fan

three seem like a bit much, but I am not in your shoes,

I carry one in the day time, and two at night is my norm.

on a walk in pastures I carry a butcher knife, or tomahawk along with my red rider BB gun or my newer BB pistol. as they are great rattler killers.

  • my teacher carries a SAK,and there are several knives that have been confiscated

  • @TheWallie2k

over the years, I have known teachers to carry knives and guns. but always

without permission and no one found out.

  • I've always carried a knife even through school and that's with living in the UK, but I think of a knife as a tool.

  • @seanmulhall

sound like a wise man, but never break rules or laws unless it is a life and death wall you must fight.

never forget the G men have no mercy and can harm your future more than any Gangs out there.

so think safe, be safe. thanks for contact.

  • @Nebulax123

had a nice comment dont know why you;'d pull it, but you made some really

nice comments, your welcom on this channel anytime.

  • @donze52 Just pulled it to correct the spelling! Re-posted the same one.

  • @Nebulax123

spelling aint a problem, I was and am a terrible speller, thank GOD for

spell check, and I still mess up. so I'd be the last to complain.

    thanks for contact.

  • yeah i think there are knifes in school.

  • @Speedey75

ya way back in my school days of the late 1950's we saw even switch blades now and then

but no trouble, even fights did not bring out blades ever around my school.

  • @donze52

in my school thats usually the first thing everyone goes for is a knife, so in stead of carrying one i carry a monster can. i can eaisily twist it into a point if nessasary, but i learnded many wany ways to dissarm someone with a knife for the express purpose that i may not have to carry one.

  • @Speedey75

I hope you need not ever fight a knife bare handed. I remember in the news a black belt took on a hood with a knife in a bar. Well the black belt was dead very quickly.

The best self defense instructor I ever met said this " if a many pulls a knife on you, you are fighting a one armed man and you got a slim chance of living but if a man pulls two knives on you, your only hope is to run. and run very fast. thanks for contact

  • @donze52

I agree with you that it is difficult fighting someone with a knife. the last time it happened to me was about 4 months ago. i got away with a few cuts, but not everyone has had the extensive training i've had. It's not the technic that desides the victure but the persone who knows how to use it. In some cases i have ran from some knife fights. and i hope you never have to fight a armed person bare handed as well.

  • Hi Mr. Bill.

I'm back! Hounding you again for the video you promised on cop-proof knives. I think it's only appropriate after this knife safety video.

  • @TwistedxJester

    keep me honest

yep I have on going about 5 videos in different stages

I am trying to cut down my knife safety talk as normally it

runs 30 minutes and then question time.

I loose to many on youtube if I go over 5 minutes.

Well better get cloths washed and dishes washed before

    wife gets home, later

  • Trust me, I've been stabbed twice. Once in the femoral artery.

  • @423sniper

The pain was crippling, for sure.

  • Gettin stabbed really sucks

  • @423sniper

yep, I sure bled like a stuck hog way back when blades were pulled.

  • Knives are a tool used for first aid, survival, food prep, wood working, hunting and fishing, and can be used as a screwdriver or other light work as needed. I do not understand why anyone would not have one in their pocket no matter where they are.

  • @dsn102461

wise man you are, but rules, and laws forbid, I wish they had switch blades legal myself

but since they don't I make do with other blades.

I tell my my knife talks for youth, that a blade can feed you, unlike a gun once bought

a blade has no more expenses. just becareful of laws from town to town and state to state. not counting

    feds. thanks for contact

  • I've been a cook and dishwasher in restaurants 1/2 mu life or more..got cut easier on a dull knife. Also..try to get those waithresses to put the blade down or along the side in their bus tubes? They kept sudsy water in there and I'd have to be more than careful..I had to go to the mgr doz times..finally in front of supervisor and mgr-I called them to attention? "Who ever has O postive blood, next time, you're going to the hospital with me!" in a full house? thanks for the info,Mr Bill!

  • @Woodsygirl62

one of my part time jobs for 20 years is night shift, alone making donuts for local shop.

so live with a blade in my hands, not counting before that on the farm, a blade was as good a friend

as my dog, some days better.

my father fought under patton in Africa in WWII, said if you can;'t shave the hair off your arm with your blade it aint a knife,

  • one of my friends said one of his friends always brings a knife with him to school for minor cutting tasks and self defense. i always carry two pocket knives at all times but i'm also home schooled.

  • @awesomeseekerdude999

proud to hear from you, this nation needs people willing to

have tools that can work or defend yourself with.

    thanks for contact

  • Good vid. Thumbs up!

  • @homesteadprepper

thanks for contact, pray for a lite winter

  • Everyone (even kids) should be familiar with knives and own atleast a small pocket knife and have access to it. If you can't trust somone with a pocketknife then you probably shouldn't trust them at all.

    Good video Mr.Bill, thanks. = )

  • @BillRoyMcBill

sadly though I found all to often kids did not have any training or education about blade safety or uses.

  • Good advice as usual.

  • @theturdpit

thanks for contact, keep safe and pray for rain

  • Knife training is not only good for kids, but also for adults. You would be suprised at the stupid things I have seen done with the average home kitchen knife. I am a man who likes knives, sharpening and the things that go with them. With my last wife, I learned not to be too quick to get those knives sharp like I like them, that was after the tenth or so time she had an accident.

Mr. Bill make us all a vid showing everyone the how's and why's of knife safety. You are the man to do it!

  • My D&T teacher carries a swiss army knife round school. My Family believe that one day I will be old enough to go out and buy knives myself and so they let me have them now (13) so that I know how to use them safely. I would ever even think about "misusing" them and thats why the trust me with knives. I dont take them to school or anywhere else I shouldn't. I hate it when others do because it makes the laws worse for the rest of us.

  • @Mortke

thanks for contact, great words wish all could read and follow your thoughts.
