I think a lot of the people are missing the point here. Can any of you understand the meaning of a child having sex? The experience can be stressful and painful even for grown up women. I doubt any of these girls know what getting married means before their husband tries to 'consumate' the marriage. Girls may fantasize about boys but I doubt they think about sex until 14 or 15. And even then it's in a vague way, more out of curiosity than anything else.

I don't use age as a criteria for marriage however if I find a 9 year old that is crazy about me (that loves me) and if I think the relationship would be successful and she will make me happy then it would better off marrying her than marrying a 90 years old that would make your life miserable. again that 9 years old has to reach puberty first, and nowadays that's rare. chances are very low

Islam taught us the wisdom not discriminate against age because love has no age boundaries. similarly I could marry someone that is double my age as opposed to marrying a 9 years old and that wouldn't make it wrong for me as long as we are in love (society is always prejudiced).
