  • john steward you are so freaking cute!!!!!!

  • Fox "news" is the reason america only has the 28th freest media in the world. They don't tell people the truth, they tell you half the truth, but only if it's beneficiall for they'r angle for that story.

Look to Norway and Finland, we got free medias. And would you look at that we'r not capitalists :O

In Norway we are Sociallists, only most of us don't say it out loud cause the world hates sociallists.

Trying to make an equall world! How DISCUSTING!!!!

  • @IamAWarHeroFromHalo2 Scotland is also socialist but being part of the uk means no matter if all of scotland votes left the conservatives still win, but not for much longer we have a referendum on independence in 2014 and i and almost everyone i know will vote to split the union and after 300yrs have our country back.peace out

  • It's really that the most serious form of news is broadcast by an exclusively entertainment channel.

  • In answer to both questions at the end of your video: Hell, yes!!!!

  • I have to give Fox "news" credit for one thing. They are really good at interrupting people before they can finish a sentence.

  • I think the success of the Daily show harkens back to times when things like what we call nursery rhymes now, but at the time of their creation were a way to deliver horrible news in a more palatable fashion. Granted they are also non-discrimanatory when it comes to who they make fun of, that certainly helps. I think most people recognize the bias of alot of media outlets on their own.

  • Chris wallace needs joker scars on his face, i dunno y but he just needs it

  • The sorry shape of the so called news forces people to turn to comedy sources for unbiased journalism.

"Ridicule is the only weapon which can be used against unintelligible propositions. " Thomas Jefferson.

  • I see that conservatives think that the liberals want to create a 1984-esk ultra politically-correct socialist country and the liberals think that conservatives are turning into xenophobic corrupt war mongering retards ruled by monopoly corporations. Being from outside of America, I have to say that you are all mentally retarded morons that watch far too much fucking tv.

  • I'm from England, and the my view from across the pond is that the fox news corporation has turned many independently opinionated Americans in to islamaphobic, right wing nutjobs. It's comforting to see someone as comedically talented and unbiased as Jon Stewart fronting a great show.

  • Stewart is awsome, speaks for the vast majority of the lazy, angry, un-inspired America.

    ...ohh...

    ...bu whaa...

No really what drives me nuts is people will spend ALL day watching tv, commenting on youtube or posting on facebook.

But the same people will not spend 1 hour per month to attend their local county Democratic meeting (or republican...if your a fair conservative). These people probably do not even bother to check on what their congressman or senator is voting for.

    Do something!

  • I have a problem man, I can't stop favoriting your videos!

  • John stewarts comedy is just an added bonus. keep up the good work John

  • The Daily Show is not biased, and it is factual. Unlike the right wing Nazi propaganda on FoxNews.

  • Dude!!! I really do love your vids!! Keep up the good work! Very insightful and thought evoking! I love the little laugh at the end. Cracks me up!

  • thanks for your work....and dedication.

  • Damn your annoying .. Mr monotone

  • @J1SMOKES If he speaks emotionally then it sways you're opinion because it engages you're emotions (might make ya angry) but if he speaks in a monotone voice then all you're focusing on are the facts he's spewing out with which you can make your own judgement.

  • Ask yourself the question, If your company was owned by 1 of 2 people, Romney or Pres. Obama,& you would go on THEIR record dealing with companies,

"who would you trust to NOT SELL-OFF your firm, reap millions & lay-off ALL in your firm ONLY to get cash vs.FIXING & "EXPANDING" a firm & make money by SMART business decisions & tactics for SUCCESSFUL business?"

my guess, you'll agree, Pres. Obama is trustworthy, NOT FLIP-FLOPPER "Willard" ROMNEY who will say anything to be "a" President.

  • What you said is exactly what I took away from this. Fox News: We just report the other side of the truth - you know... not the truth, but what we want to be the truth. The "liberal media bias" almost doesn't exist at all, except may be on Current, in fact there is a heavy right-wing bias in almost every single news network not even including Fox as proven by the almost non-existent coverage on the NDAA, SOPA, PIPA, OCCUPY, etc. before public pressure forces them to report on those issues.

  • Fox is Biased???? That's a big laugh.. Another left wing nut!1

  • @uniepoo Yep, Fox is Biased. Who wouldn't have guessed?

  • well spoken and well done. Keep up the good work.

  • CLOSE FAUX. CLOSE FAUX.

  • @boudica67 It's true what you say. He does go after the left and the right. The way it is now a days is that the right is so far right that it's left and vice versa. Stephen Colbert makes a good example in his act on his show. That's why it's funny. Msnbc is just as bad and Stewart HAS pointed it out. That's why I watch BBC News. At least it's an outside source looking into us. Or CNN. For being named the Conservative News Network, it's the only moderate news out there.

  • OK the show must go on so the people keep believing that choosing the left instead of the right or whatever in this politics sistem is going to make any kind of real needed change on our world, guess what? 99% of humanity is crazy keeping doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a diferent result EVERYTIME they have the tools to know us well enough to keep they'r game tree or four times ahead of us just like in a chess board get it? peace out <3

  • Free speech rules! Just make sure you know what you are listening too. Are you in it for entertainment or are you researching your facts? Heck! Rush Limbaugh and the rest of them are great entertainment and if your in the game, for game sake, then they also stimulate great ideas and fun conversation.

PS: Show me a statement that FOX News claims to be journalism with journalists. that should end or beef up your argument. Thanks.

  • Brilliant, I really like this guy. I also think the fact his show has more credibility than 'news' shows in America isn't something they should be proud of. His "facts, science, history have a liberal bias" (paraphrasing I know) is so true. They do say "The truth has a liberal bias".

  • I don't think Jon Stewart picks one side or the other. People claim that because he is Jewish that he NEVER criticizes Israel and I have seen him do it several times. He points out things from the 'left' and 'right' because the media in the US does suck a little. The main news shows tend to report news ie 60 minutes, etc., but it seems like some make it and destroy lives by doing so. Shows like the Daily Show are here to entertain and are also watchdog type shows.

  • Jon belongs to the 1% of men that i would have sex with, being bi-curious is not a sin!

  • The channel name is LiberalViewer, which is much more honest than "Fair and Balanced" slogan of fox news. You get what you'd expect, a liberal view.

  • this video while there are some really good points made, also tends to the fact that you want to bash the only republican based news organization , and forget about the 10 plus blatantly liberal news organizations, shame on you

  • another gay kid bashing fox news, but its like what dude in the video says, daily show and colbert report get better ratings than any of the shows on fox news, but in the same turn, msnbc was so rediculous during the bush administration that the 2 a.m. fox show gets better ratings than any of em, fox is so evil for being to be honest a right wing news organization but to not point out that you couldnt keep the knee pads off of chris matthews when obama had any kind of speech during the election,

  • "The embarrassment is that I'm given credibility in this world because of the disappointment that the public has in what the news media does..."

Jon Stewart couldn't have said it any better than this. I'm amazed at how many Americans actually believe the shit they hear on Fox News as "Fair and Balanced". The same can be said about other media news stations as well that only provides one side of the story.

  • lol dude your voice is sounds like a boring science video from middle school

  • @trojan0509 im fuckin lollin @ ya it duzzzzzzzzzz

  • Fox is a distractive force in out society Ron Paul 2012

  • FUCK fox news

  • That frappuccino looks so pleasing....

  • To answer your questions: Yes and Yes. Keep up the good work man!!!

  • Left...Right....Republican...Democrat....HONESTY wins out everytime.....Great clip....Keep it up

  • that's the general nature of parody

  • The effectiveness of the Daily Show and the Colbert Report aren't only from their ability to make news stories funny. But that they are willing to make fun of all sides in the news. They ham on Republicans, Tea partiers, Democrats, Neutrals, and themselves. Only in a show that can't logically take it self serious, can you find an unbias opinion.

  • @Coramelimane brilliantly said

  • @Coramelimane

Daily Show is even handed????...lol... silly libtard.

  • "The other side of the story." ??? One side is the story (reality)... and the other side is not the story(Fox News). These creatures at Fox News are devoid of morals and ethics, are dishonest and divisive in their intent, and criminal in their actions. Unfortunately their propaganda appeals to the fears, misunderstandings, prejudices, ignorance and anger of too large a portion of citizens... people who should know better but simply refuse to do the right thing... refuse to admit they're wrong.

  • It's funny cuz it's true.

  • You guys still play the left and right game? That's so cute!

  • @79Freedomfighter Agreed. I think I remember those days of being pissed off with right, or the left for what they said. Now it all looks like the WWF to me. It's all a "work". There is no difference. They want you to believe there is, but ,alas, there is not. VOTE RON PAUL 2012!!!

  • @79Freedomfighter Well....the Above and Below Game got sorta boring....

  • @79Freedomfighter Oh shut up. There is an actuall difference and im tired of self proclaimed genuises claiming its not.

  • @gulbirk Well, how about a little challenge you fuck face? You point out the differences and I'll point out the similarities and we'll compare lists.

  • @79Freedomfighter OK. PART 1 Left winged politics:

Nr1:Reasonably more regulations on the private market.

Nr2: Reasonably more restrictions on the private market.

Nr3: A higher creation of public institution and jobs within the public sector.

Nr4:A build up of public services. Like free healthcare, public schooling, welfare systems, etc.

Nr5:Generally higher taxes on most people, and higher taxes on higher income.

  • @gulbirk PART 2

    Right winged politics

Nr1: Fewer regulations on the private market.

Nr2: Fewer restrictions on the private market.

Nr3: A build down of jobs in the public sector and a higher focus on the private sector.

Nr4: Few public services. No free healthcare, no public schooling and often very weak welfare systems.

Nr5: Generally lower taxes on everyone and the introduction of flat tax.

  • @gulbirk I know false paradigm of the left and right policies. I was hoping you would point out the differences between the two Presidents with specific policies. I'll go first I guess with how they're the same.

Obama continues with the Bush's policies

    1. Special Forces funding TRIPLED

    2. Gitmo still opened

    3. Left Iraq (if you call leaving 3000ish troops there) on Bush's time table

    4. Secret prison / waterboarding, still going strong

  • @gulbirk

    5. Afghanistan cause that's where the big bad brown people are that want to kill us because of our freedoms, according to Obama.

    6. Indefinite detention just like good ole Georgey! This time with a twist, American citizens can be held without trial, yay for us!

    7. He renewed the patriot act, can't talk to grandma without the government listening in.

    8. Record number of drones, way to beat Bush's record Obama!

  • @gulbirk Top money Contributors: Obama

    Goldman Sachs $1,013,091

    JPMorgan Chase & CO $808,799

    Citigroup Inc $736,771

    Morgan Stanley $512,232

  • @gulbirk Top money Contributors: Bush

    Morgan Stanley $603,480

    Merrill Lynch $586,254

    Goldman Sachs $394,600

    Citigroup Inc $320,820

    OMG, THEY'RE SO DIFFERENT

  • @79Freedomfighter See, here is your problem. You assume that Bush and Obama is right and left. Its not. The problem is that you dont have the ability to look beyond republicans and democrats, so you assume that its those two political groups that makes up the world. How cute. But seriously, stop pretending like thats reality.

  • @gulbirk You are either a troll or mentally retarded, you clearly didn't read any of my posts. This back and forth is over idiot.

  • @79Freedomfighter Wow what a shockingly decent argument. Im retarded? Oh, why? Because you assert that there is no difference between left and right winged politics because there is no difference between Bush and Obama?

  • @79Freedomfighter Who are you reffering to when you say "you guys". Fox news? The Daily Show? Or LiberalViewer? Also your comment is condecending, which means that you believe that you are superior to the group you are reffering to. But the catch here is, how can you take a superior stance to someone you don't even have the courage to identify. Also making broad and generalized statements like that do not in any way place you in a superior position, they simply make you look foolish.

  • @Justin1976 "You guys", as in the people that still believe there is a left and right wing in politics. I'm pretty sure if you would of read the back and forth with Gulbirk up above you would have came to this conclusion. If you can't see that both parties are fucking you over with a blunt object to your head, then maybe it's ok to be condescending.

  • The force and effect of these shows will continue whether you try to analyze the effect or not. Nobody is interested in having the effect analyzed or offered for some intellectual debate. It's beside the point.

  • @mickblock "Nobody is interested in having the effect analyzed or offered for some intellectual debate."

    I am. =P

    Though I think this format is pretty lacking;

"I had to include this part of the clip cause people use this argument in my comments" *plays the next few seconds of the same clip.*

That seemed an unnecessary point to make. =P

  • Yeah Fox news is full of it Watch Jon Stewart Colbert TYT The Young Turks Now that straight NEWS

  • The left/right paradigm is complete bullshit. Reform campaign finance and reform our electoral system!

  • Hi-- love what you do, love what you post, but I've noticed the questions at the end have the "so, when did you stop beating your wife" duality. The kind of question that has no good answer. I don't know how to respond. But keep on posting. I'll think of something.

    Cheers

  • Simply put... yes. The answer to your question is yes

  • Paul/Stewart 2012

  • chris wallace is a dick

  • I am a Canadian and I like seeing how John Stewart and Stephen Colbert are holding; the media (Fox...), politicians, and their relations ships with each other accountable. The clips of Stewart here and his legendary Crossfire smack down both point at the fact that Fox has the responsibility to report both sides of the story in order to be considered news, otherwise it is unbalanced, and biased. News is there to inform people...continued

  • @macdonaldkl ...about both sides of the story in order for them to make an informed choice and form a rational opinion about the subject matter at hand. Here in Canada I find our news services do a good job at doing that, and part of it is due to the fact that comedy and political satire have been tools to hold our politicians to account for generations(especially theRoyal Canadian Air farce, This Hour has 22 Minutes, and The Mercer Report). Our comedians have unprecedented accountable for ...

  • @macdonaldkl continued (sorry for the fragment up above, should end with) unprecedented access to our politicians at the highest levels for decades. The only one I remember well from the states is Colbert's roast of Bush at the Correspondents dinner at the White House (which was a comedic/satirical masterpiece that had Bush wriggling). Here in Canada we do not have the secret service acting as a barrier to our Prime Minister/ Our comedians intercept them in their officesand...

  • @macdonaldkl in the halls of parliament. I bet Colbert and Stewart would give up their first born for that kind of access and the amount of material it would produce.

To sum up (cause this has ended up as a rant) the more access satirists on both sides of border have access to our political figures the better. They can ask the hard hitting questions in the guise of comedy, which gets people thinking and engaged. Like Stewart's point in his Crossfire smack down when he said that...

  • @macdonaldkl ..his show has no reposibility to ask the hard hitting questions to any of his guests, when he replied to Tucker Carlson's accusation that he was not asking the appropriate questions (Stweart's argument of puppets making prank phone calls is very valid).News reports news,comedy/satire is is a good way of holding the people in the news accountable. So to Fox and all the Glenn Beck's and Ann Coulter's out there stop hurting America, please report facts, from a concerned Canadian brother.

  • @macdonaldkl , you know, satire and comedy is often a way to confront the truth, as the truth is often something we are uncomfortable with, thus laughing at it kind of soften the blow.

  • Chris Wallace is such a smug POS, like when he said Stewart was racist for making jokes about Cain.

  • wish this guy would shut up and let them speak

  • @teferi66-----He doesnt piss on MSNBC nearly as much as FOX. Im saying Stewart has a left leaning biased. Anyone who is honest would agree that MSNBC is left and FOX is right (wing). If you cant see that, you're kidding yourself. But Im sure Jon Stewart appreciates the blow job, tef.

  • @SPEEDPAINTER1 Because he has no reason to. Fox breeds the most ridiculousness, and if you don't think it is.. you'd better check your own mouth because you've probably got Rupert Murdoch's dick in it.

  • CAPITALIZING random WORDS does not NECESSARILY make IT true.

  • FOX is right wing conservative to be sure (duh!), but there is a hypocrisy. Dont see anybody especially Jon Stewart pointing out out hard left MSNBC is. That would be fair and balanced!

  • @SPEEDPAINTER1 Obviously you never watch the Daily Show, because he does.... quite often.... Maybe you should think, and know what you're talking about before you post stuff like this

  • Fox gives the other side of the story. You get news on NBC and comedy on Fox.

  • I agree with your analysis.

  • What a great annotation.

  • Fox "news" bias ranges from subtle to sledgehammer, but its always there. They are masters of emotionally manipulating the obtuse, and misinformed through hate/fear mongering. "Death panels", "government takeover of healthcare", "victory mosque", "Kenyan Marxist". All nonsense, but designed by the propagandists at fox too incite fear/anger in those susceptible to their manipulation. It's sad to see someone caught up in this fox "news" spin. They almost require a professional "deprogammer".

  • I wanted to hear Jon Stewart doing his thing, and then I get this idiot...

  • @newtekkie89 Description, read it.

  • scientists are tellin lies, and getting me pissed

    fscking magnets, man

  • but science is bullshit liberalviewer

  • i kept thinking there was a fullscreen button on the clips

  • Well, so Fox news -is- biased. So's Rachel Maddow. So's Jon Stewart. That isn't the problem. You can tell the truth from a conservative or liberal perspective.

Fox news is a GOP propaganda machine with some news mixed in. Fox isn't just a news outlet with a conservative slant. So, this isn't "too wrongs make a right" if Chris Wallace was being honest. Being a conservative leaning news organization isn't wrong.

Being a partisan propaganda machine is. Wallace didn't admit anything like -that-.

  • to both questions: YES absolutely! Stewart is damn funny, but I watch for the point he makes more than any other reason.

  • Great video, keep up the good work!

  • Great video, keep up the good work!

  • what one would say : PWNED by himself

  • "Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power."

    -Benito Mussolini

  • 2 wrongs don't make a right, but 3 lefts do.

  • The sad thing is that if you look at the fallout interview with Maddow on MSNBC she lambastes Wallace for comparing a news organization to a comedy organization something she does repeatedly in her own interview with Stewart.

  • i absolutely agree with Stewart's sentiment as well as your take away point, the partisan bubble business model most media outlets have adopted has de-legitimized the news industry to such a point that people are forced to look to other outlets in order to gain a non biased perspective .

  • I like your style of reporting..

  • I bet people could watch the original video and make their own interpretation.

  • Lol the narrator sounds like an adult vision of Craig from south parkXD

  • what the fuck was that bull shit ad?

  • Im A recent Republican. Any person who criticizes john Stewart obviously knows nothing about his show. John Stewart wants to bring America back on track. Ron Paul wants to be bring us back to our golden days. John stewart strongly supports Ron Paul. Everyone Vote for Ron Paul so we can bring America back on track.

  • The guy who made this video is obviously an ignorant, uneducated, ultraliberal moron who gets his news from Jon Stewart.

  • @Khemica1Kastrati0n The video made sense to me. Daily Show and Colbert Report are hilarious and the only true news next to CNN, which is at times biased in itself.

  • @Khemica1Kastrati0n You just acknowledged that you get your news from Jon Stewart proving you're an ignorant clown who shouldn't comment on anything political.

  • @Khemica1Kastrati0n not sure if troll, or just stupid.

  • @Khemica1Kastrati0n You just acknowledged that you get your news from Jon Stewart proving you're an ignorant clown who shouldn't comment on anything political. And why wouldn't there be a conservative-leaning cable news network when CNN, MSNBC and and all the major network news programs lean to the left. You just can't handle points of view differing from your own (like Stewart) proving yourself to be an ignorant ideologue.

  • To me it is somewhat sad that Fox news and many other media outlets in the US exist in the very same country that produced Arthur Miller's "The Crucible"

  • @pysarlis To me it's somewhat sad that most people in America today would likely give us a blank zombiefied stare if we ever mentioned "the Crucible" to them.

  • I watch Liberal Viewer because its entertaining to see Fox News being demolished on a daily basis.

  • if people really need edited videos to know that fox news+most other stations are bullshit theater.... we are fucked.

  • Yep, I've finally come full circle. I watch Fox news for comedy and Comedy Central for news.

  • I think the polarization of people into political parties, liberal and conservative, is retarded... If we are going to polarize ourselves to anything lets just go with wrong and right!

  • Dude, all the news network media are biased.

  • Fox News is the reason I watch Meet the Press and Comedy central

  • The Daily Show and The Colbert Report are great for catching people in lies or hypocrisy.

They do a great job putting together a total package that is not only funny as can be, but is based on facts, AND they more often than not, do not care which side the BS is coming from, No bs is aloud.

If something dishonest/hypocritical comes down the pipe, they will grab it and put it on a billboard. I love that.

  • @eeeen321: or it can be independent comedic talk shows that can babble out all night if they have to about the consistent biased views from the Zionist-approved media circuit. And it doesn't take an intellect to go to the full extent on Fox's intentionally hilarious nonsense on national TV.

  • @Ringvireot How is that applicable to what I said in my comment???

... so Fox "intentionally" creates their hilarious non-sense ????

  • @eeeen321: that was exactly my point there. It's like saying news correspondents in liberal media are in a stage play just for shits and giggles.

  • Fox so-called "News" IS NOT "News".

Fox News is an ultra-conservative / far-right propaganda machine. Fox News goes FAR beyond being EXTREMELY bias as they've been caught red handed in a SHIT-TON of LIES and in DISTORTING the FACTS to support their ultra-conservative agenda.

Fox News is anything BUT "Fair and Balanced" Fox doesn't report on the FACTS.

This is why Fox News viewers have been proven to be the most UNINFORMED compared to ANY other network.

    Fox News= NOT NEWS

  • @mrcardio9r But then again what major news outlet doesn't have bias. I hate fox as well but I lump all the major news outlets into one big group. They are all a pack of wolves in my book.

  • Yes and Yes. The Daily Show would not exist if politicians were not crooked and/or inconsistent, and the media treated everyone fairly. I completely agree with Jon. It's also clear how Jon was cut off regularly before making points he wanted to make. This was rude and was an attempt to prevent Jon from "winning". The interviewer told Jon this was because he was filibustering when he was only answering questions and trying to make points with facts about why he thought what he did. Ridiculous.

  • To your prior question as to FOX SPEWS,because I can't call what they put out news, we just got to look at who owns FOX, Rupert Murdoch, & that pretty much sums up the answer to 'YES" they are a relentless driven 24 hr news opinion propaganda system.Sadly the poor folk that rely on mainstream media to get their so called news don't even realize their opinions are being made for them...We need more shows like John Stewart's...

  • i'm never watching another rap or fight video on youtube again......u sir have gotta fan!!!!!!

  • answer to your questions...yes and yes

  • I love this video

  • 4:25 Save me from his rage!

  • Comment removed

  • paulstrong123 your a fucking idiot who spews bullshit that you know nothing of in every direction.ppl like you should look at ppls grandparent and tell them to get off their disability and go work at burgerking like yourself! oneday maybe you will understand not being able to work!

  • Obama Tit Suckers: :-0

Most of Obama voters are Living off the government tit!

They are low life people that are able bodied, yet live off government assistance. I.E. Welfare, WIC, Food Stamps etc. healthy welfare recipients that are able to work but choose not to because they are satisfied with their welfare checks for doing nothing.

The people living off the government tit are the largest voter pool for the democratic party.

  • @paulstrong123 Just research the number of welfare leechers on comparison with unemployed, you'll begin to see a pattern. And the ratio of the salary a ceo makes compared to an average worker, you'll begin to see a pattern.

I probably won't be seen as democrat on your eyes because I in fact support a republican candidate Ron Paul.

Oh and I've been on so called welfare (foods stamps) when I was young, believe me its not something to be proud of, its something you struggle to get out of.

  • GET RID OF DIRECT TV THE ELF WAVES ARE KILLING YOU DISMANTLE THEM AND BURN THE MOTHER BOARD. THIS NOT A CONSPIRACY THORY

TAKE THEM OFF YOUR HOME NOW!

  • 10 years ago, we had Steve Jobs, Bob Hope, and Johnny Cash.

Now, we have no JOBS, no HOPE, and no CASH :-(

You can thank Obummer for that!

  • why do you think its only fox that has a political agenda. the other media networks have an agenda too. maybe many of you agree w/ their agenda so it seems innocent to you. there is NO media network in the US w/o an agenda of some sort. stop bashing fox if you cant bash US media altogether.

  • @saesido That's very true that most media has an agenda of the sorts but the thing with fox is that it's pisses people off that they promote themselves as fair and balanced and that's bullshit if your clearly right wing. Im a progressive lib but im fine with fox being on the right but dont go around parading to be neutral.

  • @menkeion

fox, fair & balanced, we report you decide.

    that is a marketing slogan.

like pepsi is the choice of the new generation ( in 2011 pepsi fell to #3. behind coke & d.coke)

snapple, from the best stuff on earth (no natural ingredients)

do you take all marketing slogans literal?

fox is a small piece of the problem which gets a lot of attention. the entire media is the problem. biased partisan news, steering & dividing people. fox is no worse than msnbc, cnn, cbs, abc. etc..same shitttt

  • @saesido A Marketing Slogan? Really?! That was my whole point about them parading that line. They dont practice what they preach. Every news outlet is supposed to be fair and balanced but you dont see that on any network in this country but FOX acts like their shit dont stink and they get heat for it. Fair and balance should be a integrity that outlets and other media would want to follow, and none do that, but FOX lies and act like they do.

  • what is wrong w/ fox telling the news of the other side....most other media tell the news of one side. theres always been 2 sides of every story, why listen to one side. fox gives you that option. w/ out fox you cant counter the sides of a news story.

  • @ 42isEverywhere

1st answer, not really an answer. And the meaning of those 2 questions could barely be more different. That of Colbert is not only a joke, it's also rhetorical.

2nd answer - No, Fox will continue to maintain they are non biased, and will deny that this hack's blunder is an admission to anything contrary.

Liberal Viewer is not subject to the standards that Fox should be held to, (if he was, he would exceed and surpass them), as Fox carry a huge responsibility to be accurate.

  • 1st answer- that reminds me of the question Stephen Colbert is fond of: "Was George Bush a great president or the Greatest president?"

2nd answer- No, it's an open admission of being pro-republican. Why do people criticize Fox News for being biased to the right when they have made no illusion of being right-wing? After all, people rarely criticize LiberalViewer for being Liberal, because it's obvious.

  • @TBucker ; Thank you. Why the complement?

  • "Hollywood! Comedians! Every single news organization! The internet! Facts! History! Science! It's all just left-wing bull----, man!"

Great line. I love the Daily Show.

  • Fox news is a soft target. How about going after the "good cop" side of things: the fact that the other news organizations legitimize fox news by refusing to ask the real questions, reporting corporate press releases as truth without question, and never asking tough questions to politicians. Even larry king & his ilk have been soft-ballers. This adds up to a "carrot and stick" approach in which the fourth estate is complicit in allowing the new aristocracy destroy our nation's middle class.

  • Problem with fox's other side of the story, is that it's based on lies, manipulating and twisted the truth, ignoring significant facts, taking things out of actual context and placing those things in their manufactured contexts, and... well lets face it, fox knowingly reports incorrect information and lies. Fox does this to manipulate the public into perceiving fox's social-political agenda. Murdock(sp?) has just begun to unravel in the U.K. and hopefully this will continue at a faster rate.

  • I turn on the daily show just so i can see what i was lied to about today.

  • Wow, you sound so young in the opening. You must've been uploading videos for 30 years and kept the opening! :D

  • Typical Fox news-casting. When someone starts to make a good point and tell the truth, they start to interrupt and not let the interviewee make his point. As for the second question... asking this is like asking if the sky is blue, or is water wet. Of course it's a tacit admission. They are hoping that their viewer base doesn't catch this admission and/or forget about it shortly.

  • Why can't comedians be reliable news broadcasters?

What was Ronald Reagan again? Ya, an actor, that became president. (not my personal favorite but...)

Stewart and Colbert do the opposite of what's disgusting about "news", make it funny and enjoyable ON TOP of being accurate (or sarcastic). It's satire. Look up the definition

"No news is good news" and it's negative connotations don't apply to Stewart and Colbert. Which is why they're proportionally more influential than "news" organizations.
