  • im lookin at all the comments that you guys right and i love k-os just as much as you guys and i hope that he appreciates you guys like i do you guys seem fuckin awesome and respectable and all positive its hard to find fans like that i had the opportunity to see him live and if you havent had the chance at it i'd say you find a way to do it he's amazing!

  • This really good, puts me in a clam state of mind.

  • This came out in 96?? Damn, didn't know that. I hope more people know about this track.

  • fuck fuck fuccccccck

    this is reaaaaaal!!!!!!

  • pretty song :)

  • Thank you so much for the links. k-os is one of the few reasons that I still listen to hip-hop. I've been looking for his indie stuff for years. Hopefully, one day he will properly release this. Cheers.

  • If you like K-os you will probably love Shad K (he's like Common + k-os + The Fresh Prince/Will Smith)

    REALLY good

check out The Old Prince Still Lives At Home (video is jokes) and also I'll Never Understand (extremely powerful song about the Rwanda Genocide... his parents escaped it but lost many family and it's about that)

  • yo love k-os thank you ive got all of his albums except for exit which im lookin for...damn this is good music

  • Exit is a great album. The song "Fantastique", the first verse is a huge interpretation of Special Ed's "The Mission"

Listen to them and see for yourself.

  • cool ya I really wanna find the actual album and buy....I buy all my albums still, exept stuff like this...and if it comes to it and cant find exit i can buy it off Itunes...although would really like to have the actuall thing

  • ebay... that's where I got mine. And I'm in Canada and it's hard to find here.

  • I'm from Philly in my mid 20's, consider myself sumwat of a crate digger and Im just hearing about this dude. and he's been out for like 16 years!

  • Well not really. He came out in 1993 with the song Musical Essence... then disappeared. Then came back in 1996 with the song Rise Like The Sun (Gadget Mix) and had the Rise Like The Sun single and Take You There single... then again disappeared. (K-os apparently doesn't like his early work, also John Salley was behind the publication of the singles)

Then he came out with his album Exit in 2002 with the first song being Heaven Only Knows, then has had 3 more albums since then, so more like 7 yrs

  • @aminkhalil Toronto is underrated thats y. wat sad is if u look at a map we're to closer to New York than practically every other city in the states.

  • hey y'all I'm jerry king, I wrote and produced this song with K-os and Victor romeo. check the discography. I didn't even know they released it! Well I'm glad they put it out. We did the whole thing in like 3 hours.

  • If it's the Take You There single on Discogs. I posted that one.

Much respect... it took a while to find.

Do you know anything about K-os' "Musical Essence"

  • No I don't, sorry and thanx 4 putting the credits up man, I'll go thru the archives over at Vinces and see if he still has something in about a week we'll doin a commercial. Send me your email address I'll send you some of the rnb we are doing now

  • Alright, it's damn near impossible to find Musical Essence in good or full quality so I'd figure I'd ask.

    Thank you very much.

  • I sent a song to your email. did you get it?

  • Yeah... really good. Who is it? Is just called "back"?

  • yeah, back in the day. the soloist is 1 of r kellys girls

  • ... she got peed on? Sorry couldn't resist... that was awful.

  • lol No r kelly had a group when he first came out of guys called public announcement. li li was 1 of thier girlfriends

  • That's cool.

  • thanx pal, i appreciate that. you wouldn't happen to have K-Os's cover of the Police's "The Bed's Too Big Without You" , I can't seem to find that anywhere.

  • no but Jsayman (user on youtube) has it look up the song and you'll probably find him or channel search him then sned him a messsage

  • Thanks for offering us the uploads. Love K-OS, bought all his albums but definitely need these singles to complete the collection. Thanks again....

  • no prob.

  • why he didn't release this album or he did i'm not sure

  • no he didn't. I put these songs together. They were all released as singles.

    -Musical Essence (1993 single)

-Take You There/Rise Like The Sun (both parts) (Take You There EP 1996)

-Rise Like The Sun (1996 single)

in fact the Rise Like the Sun single came with another song "Gotta Love" and another mix of "Rise Like The Sun (Doc Mix)"... unfortunately I can't find either.

  • K-Os been ill from time!
