I can't be sure, but a helpful person on the Internet Archive says 1945, so I was wrong about the 30s.

Mid 40s like that sounds right. I knew Harry Morgan was OLD, but not quite that old, and that cigarette ad sounded like others from that same period-- I have some episodes of SUSPENSE from the 40s on cassette tape.
