So yeah go out adopt a couple of high energy pitbulls then comment

I'd be very interested to see how you deal with a handful of high-drive Pit Bulls running loose in your house. I'm sure the authorities would be far more interested in all the fight wounds you'd be tending in that scenario than in Marty's dogs being safely kept out of each other's reach. When you own more than one APBT, they need to be kept sensibly separated, and baby gates don't quite cut it.
The best way to contain a dog safely is to chain it. A dog can dig out of or climb out of a pen or fence. If your dog gets out, it could mean the danger of being hit by a car, or being killed by AC or the police. A properly set-up chain, like this gentleman has will provide the dog with more room to move around than a pen. If he didn't exercise his dogs, and just let them on the chain 24/7, then I would semi-agree with you, but these dogs are exercised regularly.
As for if that dog is getting lovin', trust me, that dog is getting plenty of loving. If you see the condition the dog is in, you can tell it's a well taken care of dog. Check out his other videos, and you will see his dogs are not ignored. They are loved and well cared for, just so you know.
Is he proud of what? a beautifully conformed dog? Yep, I would think so.
Chains don't make dogs crazy. Neglect makes dogs crazy. Maybe YOU should educate yourself on the proper way to contain a dog! I can attest to the fact that those dogs are VERY well taken care of. Likely better than your own dog if you even have one. Let me guess. You shove yours in a tiny crate for 8 + hours a day?
