  • First thing you need to be able to ride like this is ABSOLUTE trust in your machine, for me that comes with tyre grip and progressive brakes, it's so hard to find standard callipers that wont fade or snatch. Tyre choice is a black art that I cant afford to experiment with. The best handling machine I had at high speed was a Yamaha RD 250 dx, I could literally foot peg (and often exhaust scrape) it at will, and finding the sweet spot on a clipped apex on the power band was almost orgasmic, lol.

  • dude that power slide is wicked 1:24 the guy has so much control of that bike!!! sick ride.

  • haha powerslide ftw, i never knew powersliding was an actual technique until I stumbled upon it one day on accident, after showing a friend how it could be implemented, he laughed and showed me how the pros use it to get out of corners quicker.

  • really entertaining, all the best and good luck FACTORY

  • Thumps up for the cameraman..

  • Very good control, nice riding and its all about laying down the power and lean angle. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrap!

  • @bechego its on purpose, i also think its not a legit race as much as people bombing around a track

  • lost traction is wasted time and control. lame!

  • @kawasakikillerr lame????watch moto gp .

  • he rides kinda like me LOL not showing off hes really better than me but i kinda slide cming out of some bends its real good fun ( sv 650 )

  • totally for show!!!

  • damn he did that shit! and the back end stayed wild the whole time.

  • damn he can ride

  • how do you do that clutch and some throttle?

  • @JesseCypress dude it's not a car, you have to brake just enough and lean !

  • @EHVdaniel this drifting isnt done with brkaes tho..its all throttle

  • awesome!

  • I do this with a bicycle

  • @EHVdaniel Yeah, baby! I have fun today on 23x700c's. Back in the early 80s, I had to get track time out of my system, superbike laps. Still miss the old days. The leathers still fit, but pushing 50, and three daughters later, "twisties" means time climbing the hills- by bicycle. I still share salutes and "nods" running the curves, the motorcyclist is still within, but on a descent, you can't power to a different line, you're committed. Know your limits and enjoy it!

  • The shit

  • Mint rider, shite music.

  • Nice

  • that guy has some skills for sure!

  • incredible

  • mucho gusto!!...

  • What is the music used in this video plz :P

  • @bechego

Going fast is fun. But going sideways is the new fun. Do that in the wet and u own the bike.

  • Damn, I'm jealous ;-)

  • Nice Riderr :) Like Casy Stoner :D

  • @Teenegent but better and better then Rossi

  • Guys got titanum testicles lol. My video dont compare

  • That is Mitchel pierce at pacific raceway

  • even kids can do that? very very wrong video title

  • For those of you who think power sliding is all show watch moto gp racers, some of them do it in a race to get out of the corner faster c:

  • Comment removed

  • @candymanbigwhitevan That's not entirely correct. You'll only see it happen in the later laps, the riding style changes as the race progresses due to fuel weight and tire wear.

  • @candymanbigwhitevan ROSSI? LORENZO? STONER? PEDROSA? DOVI? HAYDEN? i have been watching motogp for 8 years and none of the top racers power slide unless they are like 30 second ahead of whoevers behind - power slides are all show. this guy is good but hes sliding at lower speeds. its not worth power sliding at high speed cuz you might end up with a high side as rear wheel can suddenly gain grip after sliding

  • @candymanbigwhitevan Stoner is the only one who does it regularly as he has his TC turned down the most and he cracks the throttle so early. He also uses it to turn the bike faster when hes almost at full lean. He doesn't do what this guy is doing which, while entertaining, isn't that fast. In Moto Gp the power slides are barely noticeable, even Stoner who does it every corner. Going as sideways as the guy in this video is just for show

  • @candymanbigwhitevan the only instance in which powersliding is the faster thing to do is maybe corner entry. But only since it indicates entering with too much speed. Breaking traction is NEVER a faster way to corner because it means the max tyre adhesion limit is passed. The fastest formula is always RIGHT on the limit before breaking traction.

  • @slickstrings ever heard of throttle steering a bike???or steer from the rear???its used near corner exit.and when you refer to a bike "powersliding" into a corner with too much speed....thats called "backing in" its when your so hard on the front brakes the rear wheel leaves the track coming near your turn in or tipping point and makes the rear break sideways or just straight up.rule of thumb for us racers is leave the corner faster then you entered it.get yourself a racing then talk ok.

  • @candymanbigwhitevan i disagree, if your wheel is spinning your wasting power. Ideal grip is 18% slip...which you wouldn't notice. So how does sliding out of a corner make you go faster?

  • @aj396 <-- what that guy said

  • this guy=my hero

  • My question would be, why is he sliding all over when the guy video recording is riding the same speen without the struggle? I guess it is just a lower-speed trick. How does that translate to an actual race? Entertaining? Sure.

  • @bechego Struggling? Not Struggling showing off

  • @bechego when you can throw a bike like that around, and stay on it. It says something about control and knowing how far you go push it, before it comes back and bites you're back off. Well in this dudes case he's bike isn't going to bite his back off.

  • @bechego he is tapping the rear brake to make it drift (slide) the camera man isnt...its really hard to do...and looking at how low he gets on those turns i bet he can race

  • @bechego Powersliding. hes making himself "slide"

  • @bechego casey stoner 2x world champ garry mccoy 500cc winner rossi heaps of titles just to get the ball rolling as you carry a bit more corner speed and change corner shape a little just like a car but look out when you stop spinning and get grip HI SIDE rears its ugly head

  • @bechego your brain is fked belive me bro

  • @bechego watch moto gp to see how its done....nuff said.

  • @bechego in professional racing, it allows them to get out of a corner quicker because they are able to get in a better position faster to accelerate earlier.

  • @6iPWNi9 and it allows them to correct any mistake while going into a turn

  • @bechego hey i think its legit. fast speed?? of course!! the guy recording has his camera attached to his helmet so he is free to ride normal and fast, so yeah he is able to follow him at high speed.

  • This is the point ballsy riders hope to get to. Your machine is no more then a powerful extension of you body. So familiar through several hundreds of hours of riding, that you think it, and it does it. 100% AWESOME!!! Can only hope my Honda and I reach this point some day...

  • Sorry but i would have to agree with the title! Insane Skill.... I name this dude "DRIFT KING" I mean how many people on here can say they can do that! Exactly! Fuck All....

  • where are insane skills? LOL

  • @aitsokxxx You never rode a bike hm?

  • crazy!!!!!

  • i wish i had half this guys skill

  • Great Biking skills... SHIT MUSIC!

  • so when will we see this guy in the next Moto GP season?

  • This guy is insane omg wtf I love it

  • obviosly im not the level of rider this guy is...but, I give my r1 hell (its got the extra two injectors turned on to gain "track spec" power) in the long curves (and plenty of squirt on ramps too), and have found plenty of backroads that push the limits of my ability to get the bike from one side to the other quickly enough, but the ass never slides around like his....is he just sliding it out to heat the edges of the tires for the next corner?

  • @thursdaybird go full throttle just after apexing a turn. it'll come out, i promise lol. my gixxer doesnt have the low end grunt that your bike has and it'll do it :)

  • @thursdaybird you will notice his ass not being on the seat as he is drifting, his balls will be up against the tank either ass off to the left or right never in the middle unless a long straight plus if he sat back of the seat with his weight on it, it would highside him off definetly! the rear wheel can be controlled if your weight isnt on it and you sit forward but does require huge balls!! watch simon crafar dvd he explains it a lot better lol hope this helps mate.

  • Dont have roads like that in iowa thank god i preferr to go straight

  • @jaredbonefas bendy roads make for the fun

  • this vid. reminds me of road rash

  • big RESPECT,insane is real!

  • 06 1k here! Love the video!!! Got a buddy out in cali rides like that. Mad skills. These fellas belong on the pro circuit making mad $!

  • How is he sliding that back end out like that? lol

  • I noticed the two different bikes, sick skills:)

  • The guy who have the camera is really good. No skidding, no drifting, cool and calm at the same speed, at the same time :-))))

  • damn this guy is washing the back end out pretty hard

  • wow i thought i could ride that guy is amazing... Just took a nasty spill got cut off by white haired lady n a dodge spirit... she missed her exit an did evasive maneuver an stop right in front of me went down at bout 65mph.. If i could have power slid like he does with ez i could be walking today..

  • @CJZX7R You can't walk anymore? Or you just can't walk because of the injury and once recovered, you can walk again. Sorry to hear that :\

  • When going fast aint fun enough u have to have fun in other ways. Awesome rider on a bike that he knows well.

Wish i could do that... Soon i will have my license again... Poooo

  • think some ov u dont understand talent wen u see it. just because these guys aint pissing around on the tt course or nw 200 doesnt mean they are not men, that must make rossi a fanny because he wont do the tt or every other motogp, sbk or bsb rider pussys or untalented then does it?? wen have u seen a tt rider in world superbikes or motogp recently. just sayin that maybe there balls out whey there talent and the talented riders dont fancy bein dead but even that happens in motogp.

  • pfeww what a boss..

  • Broken neck coming up ! Want to see proper road riding ? Watch the TT.

  • this is what you get when dirttrackers go all trackday on your ass =)

  • He knows how to manage his own weight on the bike depending on the situation. Did you notice how he's using the foot pegs while drifting? Wow!!!

But as grand master Kenny Roberts used to say, drifting can be very often a way to waste lap times.

  • I don't care what anyone says..this guy is SICK

  • Insane is his power slide. Mastering a motorcycle in order to have control like him must have taken a while.

  • @normancourt1869 dont think some ov the idiots on here understand to have a skill like this at ur dispolsal is pure talent. wish i could do it

  • Her monthly blood? yummm

  • Yawn.. if you want to see some proper riding skills come to an Irish road race and watch men not boys..

  • This guy knows how to do a power slide!!!

  • isn't the bike at 1:18 a desmosedici?

  • Tototya mr2

  • This guy is so good, he can switch between a GSXR-1000 and an R1 without anyone even seeing it.

  • @infestedtoaster Now good enough, u seen him:))

  • @infestedtoaster

Good eye, I didn't catch that at first.

Muy perspicaz, al principio no me di cuenta.

  • @infestedtoaster watching the RAM´s its a GSX-R 750/600 k6/k7 :O

  • holy shit.

  • Real men drift their bikes. 0% fear

  • Nice vid.. Check out NYC fastest videos

  • Sick ass riding...wish I could drift

  • @juangalazcbr me too :( It's a bit hard to practise if you don't have a race track near you and a bike that's not worth 10 000eur :)

  • Awesome !.

  • i be he has crashed befor

  • Now try that on a harley! :p

  • i was getting very confident with leaning far into corners. (scraping and folding up the footpegs on 81 xj750 newish tires) until i lowsided it. now i cannot get my confidence back. any tips?

  • @242tdryan Just do it. I was run off the road at 60mph on my 77 CB750k and it took me nearly 6 months to get back to where I was before, even though I walked away with no injuries. There is no magic cure to regrow your balls after you go down, you just have to acknowledge that it's a risk you take and decide if you're willing to risk it or not.

Best of luck to you man, I hope you find the courage to saddle back up and give it some hell.

  • @242tdryan try not to fall off again lol. i saw this vid once and thought it looked cool to drift so i started tryin, i was gettin good at gettin a feel for the back end steppin out until i got clever and done it on not so warm tyres and slid my bike down the road, always weiry of doing it since and that was over a year ago. u prob lost the front because the pegs took the weight off the front. so i wudnt try it again bud. knee down is good, pegs down is boarder line low side

  • Darth Vader called, he says he has a place on the death star racing team for you...

  • Fantastic riding on a track (not like on the road like too many vids on here); amazing skills; shame it was recorded on a cassette tape.

  • Most bike riders talk up this kind of game though few can back it up with this kind of video. Great riding!

  • total control, wonder how many times he crashed to be able to do this but thumb up

  • Thats some good throttle control right there, drifting corners on a bike???

  • insane dying skills

  • only in my dreams could i do stuff like that..... but then i would still crash

  • Trust ur tires ...... That's some confident riding

  • kids take notes, thats how its done

  • THAT WAS FUN!

  • Nice! What kinda microwave was this recorded on??

  • sick style

  • i can only hope to be able to back it in like that

  • The art of motorcycle racing is to keep the bike just at the tipping point of being out of control, once you learn how far you can push it you get this amazing shit.

  • @will3482

thank you for stating the obvious

  • @StinkyCheese9999 I have green numbers next to my name! None by yours Stinky!

  • @will3482

Right and wrong have nothing to do with popularity contests.

  • @will3482 thats also how you fucking kill yourself

  • @furiousaaron WRONG. This is not the street it's a track, deaths on the track are quite rare, broke bones and to much pussy is what this guy has to worrie about!

  • @will3482 but how do you find that point? lol

  • @fleetfeet2004 Have you seen "On any Sunday (1971)? If not check it out, best motorcycle movie ever, it follows a number of racers from the time and one guy's name that slips my memory was always coming in last or wrecking his bike early on in the race because he would push it so far. I'm sure this guy were watching has wipped out dozens of times. You just cant hit the APEX like that without extreme confidence.

  • @will3482 wouldn't he get seriously injured though? Or am I missing something? lol

  • VERY good skills to retain control when the back slides like that.

  • I'm almost positive thats pacific raceways up in Seattle, or near Kent, whatever you choose, I"ve ridden track there, good track. Thats definatly a loose riding style, Gary McCoy shit.

  • @illf8ted I noticed the same thing. Your right.

  • Whats insane about this?!!!!!! .I think its quit normal if you don't want to ride like this get a car

  • i take my hat off to you, sir !!!!!

  • balls of steel making skid the bike at such high speed, like it.

  • dumb move at :32

    could have wrecked that duc

  • What's so impressive some guy making passes in the beginners group so what!

  • @busaj1 . stop talking crap buy a first

  • serious sliding skills!

  • If you were to compare this guy to a motogp star it would be Gary McCoy. Cool to watch but likely not that fastest way around the track. TAlented rider! Props d00d.

  • Knowledge of people, experience, and are likely to fall from engine

  • Those drifts are sick man!

  • How did he ride that fast and hold that camera

  • Enculator 12 000 !!!!

  • why is he wearing white gear? always thought, the devils colour was black.

  • super sick

  • mad skills bro! ;)

  • song name?

  • @kerossan19 it's called "look below the video and stop asking stupid questions"

  • @kerossan19 yea good song, it's in the description of video dude, under the likes/dislikes bar

  • @kerossan19 Seether - Gasoline

  • You've been following watching Rossi too much,I dig the slides in the turns. just don't get too cocky, even Rossi loses it.

  • @shockwave5150 yea cuz rossi hasnt got nothing on this dude lol

  • @DisasterRasta Rossi hasn't got nothing? Are you saying that Rossi is better or worse than this guy?

  • @TheRhymeAsylum i was joking that this guy is better lol wel you never know a lot of good riders out there dont even think about racing

  • fuck the guy in whites got balls gassing it out the corners drifting it could flip real easy

  • anyone know who he is or just one of us(with hella mad skills)

  • @simptoes Yeah man, it's Mitchell Pierce, he's an animal. Type in 'Mitchell Pierce, Nesba, Pacific Raceways.'

  • @westy636R cool,thanx

  • siiiiiiiiiiik

  • FAAAGGGG!

  • @ValleyGirl401 Yes you are

  • finally a sportbike video with a good song, sick of stupid ass thug music.

  • this guy is not a rider,.... he's a pilot on a jet with two wheels, wow what skill !!!

  • u guys are nutz with those turns. love the video tho!

  • @GibsonElectricI Keep practicing mate, you'l get where ya need to be in the end 8)

Having the balls to go to a track in the first place means ya doing good already ! I crashed at least 30 times before I got the hang of racing properly lol

  • Damn he's got some bike control i'l give him that, hook him up with Gary Mcoy for the next step 8)

  • @edrusharry WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? What if he actually decides to ride his moped even better. Then who is going to make pizzas. I hope your really proud of yourself mister lol:)

  • This guy actually has terrible form...

  • @imadeyourpizza You keep making pizzas while this guy handles a bike with some real skill, hope your talent with pizzas comes within even a thousandth of this guys talent 8)

  • @edrusharry my making pizza's put enough money in my bank account after 3 years to pay upfront for my tuition for my electrical engineering degree, so if that's worth a thousandth of his skill then I guess I'm happy.

  • he is ghost rider cousin...LOL

  • Damn I had no idea you could drift a motorcycle lol. That guy is good!

  • ive seen better
