  • Wow... I forgot how bad the vanilla textures are in skyrim...

  • Oh no that cheese would look all jagged and ruin every thing oh how I need an nVidia GPU again.

  • omg what is the music it is good 8O

  • Damm you evga now i have to go play skyrim I have school tomorrow for god sake

  • Sadly, FXAA also makes things less sharp. I don't really like the blur FXAA produces in games with deferred rendering.

  • i'd much rather see bigger textures in Skyrim

  • when you mean Fxaa off do you have the anti-aliasing on? and when you mean fxaa on do you have anti-aliasing off?

  • Unfortunately, it doesnt fix the sharp edges around shadows.

  • @213374ju Your right. That my friend, is called shading.

  • haha im just worried about getting a graphics card

  • Looking for aliasing on objects.. Just another thing on the endless list of things to do in Skyrim..

  • Pick something other then skyrim, the graphics suck in that game.

  • Will you guys please test it with a Source Game like Team Fortress 2 or Portal 2?

Also, I would like to see you guys use lower end hardware, such as a GTX 460 or GTX 260.

And maybe a quality and performance comparison between No Anti-Aliasing, MSAA, and FXAA. And I am not just talking about 2x MSAA either. I mean something like 8x MSAA. That's what I use. The only reason I am not using FXAA is because I don't know how to get it to work on my DX10 card or with Source Games.

  • @Amaroqdricaldari GTX 260 may be getting old, but it's not low end by any means.

  • @CoolKabbage don't lie... cmon man, theres the 600 series comming out. WOOWHOO

  • @CRimsonEagleX So? Higher number does not equal massive improvement. The GTX 260 Core 216 still plays most games high, and sometimes very high at more than playable Framerates at 1600 x900.

  • FXAA makes the game crash

  • FXAA makes the textures become blurry. Better to have sharp textures and some jaggies than blurry textures and a bit less jaggies.

  • @delicieuxz It is better than MSAA and FSAA. FSAA is especially bad when it comes to blurring textures.

FXAA actually has less blur than MSAA, and of course less Aliasing and higher performance.

@swxwingalliance The only reason they are using GTX 570s is because high-end Graphics Cards are good for Benchmarking, and also because they are relatively new compared to somelike such as a 460. Though it wouldn't hurt if they tried using 460s instead of 570. They would get more modest results.

  • @Amaroqdricaldari In addition, FXAA is natively designed for DX11. They could port it to DX9 or OpenGL 2.0, but it is hard to do that, and the quality wouldn't be as good. That is why they are using GTX 570s.

  • the difference is very noticable...still it's far from perfect as the edges become quite blurry I see in this vid

  • gtx 570 was used if watched it said so

  • @chad1073 2 X Gtx 570

  • which GPU was used for this video?

  • Why would 2 people dislike this? Probably AMD users, and/or console gamers.

  • @RalphCQ look up "The Fox and the Grapes" on wikipedia - the first paragraph explains exactly why 2 people disliked.

  • Not sure what "crazy blur" some of you are seeing. Real life uses it all the time. It does a great job with AA, and benchmark comparisons agree.

  • What's the point of this if the game has been out for like two weeks and has had the option since then?

Not to mention FXAA makes the game blurry so using 8x MSAA is much better.

  • I run fxaa off because I use FXAA Injector mod.

  • NVIDIA XFXAASDADSEX

  • while FXAA is nice, there is ofc better AA i'd rather use that doesn't go crazy with the blur.

  • Should have shown the difference from other kinds of AA instead of the difference between on and off....

  • Is there shipping for a B stock item and how much?

  • Is FXAA compatible with 200-series ?

  • @SonsOfHateSphere Probably not.

  • Too bad Skyrim is a generic, poorly made, overrated pile of steaming bethesda shit.

  • hey EVGA or ANYBODY, If i buy a B stock item can i buy a warranty for it?

  • @FedoraFTW thanks :)

  • Is there a way to activate it in BF3?

  • @ArgonVII The "Anti-aliasing Post" option is FXAA.

  • How did you guys make the shadows look normal instead of saw blades?

  • It is noticeable even on 360p.. you guys either trying to be characteristic or simply blind.

  • @othman626

    you are right!

  • not only noticeable, is obviously noticeable

  • im playing this game on my Late 2008 15" Macbook pro on all hi setting and all im using a is a 9600mGT 512MB and 8GB of DDR 3 ram intel core 2 duo 2.66Ghz and iv had no issues with lagging great game

  • @evgaonthetube I have a question about this vs. regular anti aliasing, (I'll be going from console to PC when the next gen consoles come so I have little experience with this level of PC gaming) When I play games on my PC I can get for example 90 FPS with regular AA off and when i go AAx2 I get like 30 FPS. How does FXAA manage to keep the FPS drop down? I find it pretty awesome and I'm just very curious.

  • @OMGitsSCHNUCKUMS It's a post processing effect, so that helps keep the framerate from dropping.

  • I wish I spent more of my 24hrs playtime staring endlessly at small objects to find jaggered edges than having fun on the game :(

  • You'll notice a difference when you're using 3D Vision glasses! Nvidia FTW.

  • just like in bf3, it makes everything too blurry.

  • looks good evga

  • @CinnabarCrux The difference is more evident when watching in 1080P and Fullscreen. (as you would see it playing the game)

  • @evgaonthetube I have AA as high as it will go in games but I still see jaggies.

  • @evgaonthetube you guys do realize that 1080P doesn't work on normal monitors, you either have to have a HD monitor or one that has a resolution of 1080P

  • @evgaonthetube True... but YouTube compression makes 1080p content look more like 720p content; then since it's running at the native res., it looks dreadful, and you can't tell the difference.

With 'any' game, the only way you'll be able to tell the true difference with anything, is by playing it directly yourself.

  • @evgaonthetube Then the examples given by EVGA here is way off. There is barly a difference, and there is nothing in my eyes saying it's for the better.

  • @evgaonthetube not exactly because youtube compresses the video.

  • @evgaonthetube it would only be the same if you guys' uploaded it in original quality.

  • @evgaonthetube Agreed. And even more noticeable at 2560x1600! FXAA rocks at 30".

  • @evgaonthetube It isn't worth it....the game doesn't utilize the full power of that card because the graphical barrier to entry is low.

  • @evgaonthetube i still see it quite well and i must say, it looks great with it on, cant wait to get a new graphics card!

  • @evgaonthetube ok i really dont see the difference in my game.maybe cause i have an amd graphics card?

  • @CinnabarCrux Try watching in 1080p. The overall image appears sharper, crisper, and smoother with FXAA enabled.

  • How can i use FXAA on my Skyrim copy?
