Sure Ginn was head, but obviously he felt Henry added something to the band or he wouldnt have had him join in the first place, and in terms of sheer presence he added something.

Yeah, but he most likely inspired him to try new things too, I imagine it was a mutual thing. Like Black Sabbath, Ozzy wrote less than the others, but I'm sure his vocal style inspired them to write in a certain way, or The Who, Pete wrote most of the material, but there is no doubt that having Daltrey as a vocalist allowed him to see different possibilities when it came to creating new material. Knowing you have someone there who can back you up or deliver what you write opens things up.

You know Henry was actually a pen pal of Charlie Manson's back in the 80's from what I've read. He certainly had a very psychotic demeanor when performing, but that wild man personality is what makes him stand out. IMO Rollins took Black Flag to new heights musically, he had more intensity and sheer balls than any of their other singers, although Keith Morris is a total badass as well.

Respectfully disagree. While it might be said that Black Flag matured with the addition of Rollins, with few exceptions, punk bands do not mature well. The addition of Rollins substituted raw teenage energy with performance art, and Ginn delving into experimental metal-punk fusion didn't help matters either. Don't get me wrong, still think they were great after Damaged, but I dunno, I still think Reyes and Morris were better.
