It's irrelevant who Ted is actually talking about. When he says i know somebody just like Ben, he is obviously referring to himself. WE know that, he doesn't.

No, he refers to the parish priest whom he hates, from the other parish. The one who competed against him in the Song for Ireland contest. I can't racall his name at the moment.

Yes, that's what I meant, Ted is talking about Dick Byrne, but of course we know that the whole situation is about Him and Dougal, but they don't realise it. They just watch the sitcom just like we do :-))))They can't see any similarities to themselves in it :-)
