All their musicians were mastes of their craft and played to the glory of our Lord. Thank God in His wisdom that He provided a band like Petra to bless me as a young Christian and now provides a band like Kutlass to bless folks my daughter and grand daughters age. I don't think you can say God enjoys this song, but rather that He enjoys the heart of the person that's sincerely praising Him with whatever song of praise in whatever style.
Also, I agree with mmz1523, and it's a matter of taste in music style, there's nothing "un-Christian" about that.
Actually, if it weren't for this version, there wouldn't be a Kutless version. Petra innovated taking the old hymns and turning them into rock medley praise songs.
