No, the Z06 has better performance. The Grand Sport takes some of the Z06 looks such as tires, breaks and a wider body and puts them on a standard corevette.

A lot of people were asking GM for the look of the Z06, but dont want the price tag. So they came up with the Grand Sport.

The people complaining about the unavailing must not be Corvette people. This was a small unavailing for fans at the national corvette museum. the two people pulling the cover do not work for gm, they are fans of the car that where invited to be on stage. Not some random "hicks", I know both people and I am sure they have more money in cars than you all could dream of.

Front bumper comes from the C6 Z06

white stripes on the fenders comes from the C6 ZO6 Ron Fellows (Red) New Design wheels and vents for the brakes and the color is Victory Red

no your a retard, All GM did is look at what owners have been doing to the Verts and other stock cars and they have been adding the Z06 body parts so they can use wider wheels and tires so now they give you that straight from the factory, pretty smart if you ask me. People will pay for it because they want it

What the smurf were you expecting. The wide body gives the ability to fit bigger meat under the car. Any true car enthusiast can appreciate that. The suspension has been beefed up as well very similar to the Z06. The 3 gills on the side are a throwback to the 65-66 Stingray. You must be one of those GTR fan boys or something because any Corvette enthusiast would appreciate these changes and be IMPRESSED!

Naw man, thats the problem i find with most corvettes and porsches.. not enough change from model to model, sure it has alot to do with limitations in costs, but c'mon.. youre paying a 100k for this car it better look ALOT different than the 70k car of the same make. Its like the 911 turbo and the C4.. they look almost identical .. and no i HATE the GTR.. LSX POWER all the way!

Well at least we can agree on the LSX part. I some what agree that they don't change drastically from one generation to the next but I think this is a good thing. Why throw away something thats so brilliant. Every one loved the c5 and love's the c6 more. If you find something that works you shouldn't change it but instead improve on it. I truly think this is why Porsche and Corvette have been so successful.

well atleast its not plain looking like the standerd model i would like to see a midengine corvette now that would be something like the mosler mt900 but looks more like a vette there was a la mons midengine prototype vette some were on the net and it looked bad ass

First of all, i dont have an s2000, second of all isnt rice the civics which are loud and no go? The s2k's engine output is more per litre than any other car with perfect weight distribution. Second of all, i LOVE the vette, but they need to do something drastic to the design to keep it fresh.

Also, they should try using better looking people instead of some trailor park hicks dressed like douche bags. This is GM's flagship car, they should promote it and present it in a much more proper way.

I agree about the stlyling. It should have been more exotic. Seems a little plain. I've seen some of the designs, and they had way better.

And as for the unveiling?
