GUYS!!! I'm a long boarder and I just discovered the fun in this thing and I am now planning to get a mountain board and popularize it here in my country. would it be a bit easier for me to learn Mountain boarding with my long boarding experience?
is going down a ramp on a mountain board the same as going down a ramp on skateboard because i have tried ramps on my skate board and fell off but with a mountain board i thought you would have more control and balance
@09multikatie im shit at skate boarding but when I started mountain boarding the whole feeling of goin over ramps is different with the right board ul feel more stable and have more control
Hey love the vid and think it'd be awesome If you could make a tutorial on jumping and spins. I tried my first 360 spin the other day and got the full rotation but landed on my back tire fell back and ate it.
im an ex skateboarder but i own a pritty crappy atv board its designed to be a kite board but im better on it than i am with a kite, i can nose manual easy but im still just getting the board round on the nose pivet to 180* :) ill have it soon :)
btw any board you can advise me getting? probably about £200-500
hey thatks you are really a whole lot of help i was trying really hard to do that trick i could not pull it off you are the best will you be my boyfriend
hello all.. i've just started my adventure with mountainboarding... i would like to know dude how u make it that ur feet dont slip out from the bindings.. i need some advices couse im biiigggg newbie :X [im snowboarding like 3 seasons] it would be nice if some1 can help me be talking on msn :X its first_knightyXhotmailxcom
ive watched all your vids and i do as they say, they are great but the only problem is when i go try to keep my balance on the nose i always fall to the side what advise do you have for that.
I'll look into who makes the F3s and how they are designed (My board had side clips (they are like a curved bracket) and I'm thinking of using some of my windsurfer foot straps (with a bit of adaptation).
I sure hope Mountain Boarding catches on in the U.S. - so far I haven't found anyone who rides in our area. I'd like to find a group that does shred sessions (and likes to help beginners learn)
I live over on the Kitsap Peninsula on the West Side of Puget Sound between Tacoma and Bremerton (Olalla, which most people have never heard of).
Thanks again... I'll google some of those.
My 11 yr old son and I have Sand Diego Speed (SDS) boards with skate trucks and the bindins that are sort of a hook shape that holds the outside edge of the foot - have to push feet apart to keep the board gripped. Not a bad design, but I'd wanna try foot straps.
Yo nice riding man. Jon can you tell me what your tire psi is? I have mine at around 35-40 but i i dont see your tires squishing like mine do, i have an mbs core 95.
I run at 60 psi all the time and In a skatepark I have been known to pump it up to 80psi. Be careful because the tire could pop off the hub, or if you have plastic hubs they will warp and then break.
yeah I just listened to it, I guess I should have been louder and more excited, but really I do think nose manuals are cool and worth being excited about, I swear.
OH....... haha. i cannot do those at all. in soft grass only. on road the board always comes out cause i have such a hard time getting up on the nose to start with. not cool at all..... geez...
In physics, the center of mass of a system of particles is a specific point at which, for many purposes, the system's mass behaves as if it were concentrated. In the case of a rigid body, the position of its center of mass is fixed in relation to the object (but not necessarily in contact with it). In the context of an entirely uniform gravitational field, the center of mass is often called the center of gravity — the point where gravity can be said to act.
When you have the right jump I think that they are easier than a solid 360. But that is after you learn how to do them. The problem is if you mess up during a backflip you could die or loose your legs.
True that. you would be amazed the size of a hill you can control without a brake. but if you dont have room to turn and you aren't doing free style it might be worth while.
it depends on how hard the sand is and how flat you make your tires. It wouldn't be good for your bearings and you wont have alot of speed, unless you are kiteboarding.
Yeah the Core95 are really good, I have one but only use it for BoarderX. For more harder terrain and steeper hills I use my Trampa Sik StikII. Check out my vid Anglesea BoarderX and you will see the Core95. Realy good boards for the price..
The Core95 is a really great board. I own one but I mostly only use is for my BoarderX. For other types of riding I use my Trampa SikStik, Check out my Anglesea vid and u will see what the Core95 is capable of. I see the Jeremy Leafe in that vid, they are an awesome board JD, ive been tossing up between that or the Leon for my next board..
Let Me Know what you want. I had one person recomend Jumps like Ollies and nollies, but i need more people to back that topic before i make it for reasons i cant define.
Can you make one about jumping, how to start a jump what to do in the air (maybe a part about some tricks) and how to make a nice and clean landing like should i lend forward or backward.
There was a message that instead of hitting reply I hit remove. The response to the question is that I wont be doing a backflip tutorial because the personal liability is to high. Flips are the one tutorial I will leave to some one else unless they do it incorrectly.
i just got my nose pivot 360s down, thanks jon. but i still cant master the nose manual. i either dont lift up the tail far enough or over do it. maybe im still a bit short?:(
? i guess so, i thought it would be different for how much you have to lean over the board, cos boards like the dirty leaf have really shallow kicks so your at a a different level with the wheels, but your probably right the tutorial does help for me its just having ridden a MBS board then my Flight Lite they feel so different.
man i like the tutorial, but i think you need to take into account people with different degree kicks eg: ground industry boards, i think the degree of the kicks plays a huge part in nose control and so forth. never the less, good job =)

MBS makes the bindings, Where do you live?
Also Checkout Ground Industries, MBS, One Five Media, and Dirtboard Riders at Yuku, type any of that into google and you will get some great info.
