  • 3:00 Buddy... A garden hose ain't gonna do jackshit on that!

  • Some good video footage Except the guy with garden hose with a 100ft flame in

    front him

  • Good thing he had some airspeed.

  • u would think if they r dropping retardent on u that u would get the hint

  • love guy with his garden hose at the end

  • love the guy with the garden hose at the end

  • hahaha the guy at 3:00.

  • @mianus11 good thing he had that hose lol who knos wat would happened!! haha

  • pilots looked as if they were doing a great job to me.

  • well your lucky then, we kick people out of areas like that all the time. people talk different just depends on where your at. im in southern. Fires has many different names for it. just depends on what kind of fire your at and how big it is. and if the fire is blown over or not.

  • you must work for a news company because i know they wont let someone whos doesnt work for a news company go out there. I work for cali fire. Ive been fighting fires for the past 8 years. did you go to the fires san diego in 2003 and 2007. thoses are fires. ive been dropped on many times. Ive told planes to drop on houses if we couldnt get to them in time. dont sent there and say you know more about fire then i do. i have a degree in fire.

  • You sure don't sound or act like someone who's been a fire fighter for 8 years. I don't think I've ever heard anyone from CAL FIRE call it Cali Fire. I can vouch for kickZ me and him run on fires all the time I film and he takes pictures and we get that close a lot and we don't work for any news agencies either.

  • dude you don't fight fires all you have are blue angles on your page.

  • Too bad you don't know what my hobby is from the few videos on my You Tube page. I usually don't take videos. I'm a photographer, and my principal subject is aerial firefighting. Maybe just for you I'll upload a slideshow of my shots onto You Tube one of these days so you can eat your words. I was on 17 fires last season and was dropped on by Cal Fire Tanker 73 on July 11th 2009 on the Lambs Fire. You have any other questions or assumptions, let me know so I can shoot them down.

  • @kickZtailout hell yea get him

  • First, Tanker 421 has not crashed.

Second, they have a job to do. Its not their problem when people intrude on the drop zone (that includes me, but I dont complain when they get close or I get dropped on). If I was standing in the drop zone & a tanker happened to crash near me, you wouldnt hear me complaining because it was my decision to stand there in his (or her) "office".

Third, nice work Casper... you struck air tanker gold on this. I see you guys out there at incidents all the time.

  • pay attention, you wouldn't be the first who would be striked dead by a water bomber

  • "Striked dead by a waterbomber"... lets just keep this conversation to people that know the subject matter.

  • you really don't know how close that plane was. in the first place

  • why drop retardent on flames... use foam!

  • Wow.... I've seen a lot of stupid stunts in a plane.... but that takes the cake.... that's about as close to a crash as you can get without the "crash"

  • I lived in Rancho Cucamonga, California back in October of 2003 when they had their brush fires. Those things were unreal ! In fact, there were fires all over the place that year - from San Diego to Thousand Oaks !

The San Bernandino International Airport was packed with water-bombers and had planes shuttling in and out for days.

  • That jackass almost killed several firefighters last year showboating. He crashed and was fired.

  • Do you know if the FAA did anything to him?

  • seats can get nice and low and get where the S2 cant but that was a little too close haha

  • wreckless, and dangerous.

  • Comment removed

  • ok ok so we've all heard of buns of steel, right? Ballsosteel could be the title of this one. Regarding the previous comments of the "fly-by" that almost ended with an "incidental landing"- watch his tail, etc you can see the gust that took all of his lift& made his a-hole pucker, his craft does try and nose up but drops with the orientational change- overfill? who's the ground boss? I agree he should have hit it from above. as far as the retardent hitting the house- they got 10G of Ret. 4 free!

  • Dear mww88 your dad is a special man!

  • Heaven holds a special place for CDF- CALFIRE- and air crews (and other firefighters.) They saved our house and dozens more in September 2006. Ours planes are based out of Grassvalley and the Helo out of Camino. If I ever run in to you guys, drinks are on me.

  • Looks like he figured on buzzing, was to heavy to climb after he lined up and pulled the dump so that he wouldn't pack it in. Was that what happened?

  • The SEAT pilot was written up for that incident and no longer works for that company. The industry doesn't need pilots like that.

  • I agree, as cool as it might be to watch on here, it was wreckless and not necessary.

  • They need to drug test that SEAT pilot... He about killed himself and other people. I dunno what he was thinking, maybe he hit an air pocket or something. Nice job on painting that house too...

  • the first plane you saw is an air tractor 802. the worlds largest flying single engine aircraft. thats what my dad flys

  • The 802 is awesome, but it's NOT the world's lagest single engine aircraft... The Antonov AN-2 is the largest.

  • i meant like all around largest... as far as the 802 has more power and can haul more.

  • Air Tractor is building a 1000 gallon firebomber which should be in production soon. It will be called the 1002

  • haha my dad is one of them! s.e.a.t. 430 for western pilot service.

  • Maybe you should go on that show my dad is better than your dad.

  • maybe i will....

  • what the fuck r they on

  • thoes piolets got balls

  • You people are nuckin' futs!

  • wowsers

  • This is what we pilots live for. Being able to help people with our talents. Very nice angles on video! :-)

  • Awesome vid! You need slo-mo on that first pass. It looks like he went THROUGH the bush!
