Even Keith isn't the most popular one in The Stones but he is the leader of The Stones. To talk about The Stones is to talk about Keith. But he's so humble. It doesn't matter for him to be written as Jagger/Richards not as Richards/Jagger. Hundreds songs have been written by him. But what did he say about it? He said, "I don't have that God aspect about it. I prefer to think of myself as an antenna. There's only one song, and Adam and Eve wrote it; the rest is a variation on a theme."

But Keith is a genius. You try playing some of his stuff. Ok you can get the basic sound, but there's a lot more going on than first meets the ear.

He's always had a fascination with chords and rhythm while avoiding flamboyant virtuosity in favour of riffs that are direct, incisive, and unpretentious.
