  • Dear Megan I have really enjoyed this video. I have felt cotton is still beyond me... wow you are so talented! can you help? I have problems with my curved carders, esp when i am carding mohair or wool, I can't seem to get it all to transfer to the other carder. I have to put the bottom edge of one carder over the top edge of the other to lift the rest off. I card about 4 times but there is always fiber left behind. my carders are ashford wool curved. any help appreciated. thanks, grace in vt

  • I see the cats and dogs running around, it reminds me of a class i took as a teenager that started my interest in spinning.

    In case you havent heard of it yet. just think: free fibers! the trick is not to shave the animal, just save the hair from daily brushings. only sheep hairs are fine enough to sheer w/o ends

  • the toe cracks me up!

  • awesome video, BTW;

    looks wonderful to card and spin ! :)

  • I just had to comment to say that it was almost hypnotizing watching your toe wiggle the whole time XD

  • @specialkrj: LOL i noticed the wiggly toe, too :))

  • Me encanta tu trabajo, es muy didactico, tienes magia en tus manos

  • Me encanta tu trabajo, es muy didactico, saludos

  • I have a question about this video and yourspinning tutorial videos. Why is it that you draft while spinning in this video, but pre-draft everything in your other videos? I apologize if that question came off as snarky, but I am genuinely curious. This video shows that you know how to draft, but why don't you teach that in your other videos. I am not trying to sound mean, and your videos are what got me interested in spindle spinning, but I don't understand why you use two different techniques?

  • @dobbylvr ignore the question mark at the end of my last comment :P

  • @dobbylvr

    I think she just got better. I used to have to predraft everything, but now that I'm more experienced (haha I've been doing it for 3 months) I can draft as I go. It takes a lot less time. It's something you work up to I think.
