Looks like the half life 2 engine. Great environments. I like the circus concept. I'm looking for pointers on how to approach level design in FPS games and action games in general. I can get good settings and design inspirations, I just have trouble with level flow, obstacles and level balance. Can anyone help?

if you can find The Orange Box ( TF2, HL2 , Portal ) you will get the Hammer editor that comes with the package.
Anyways use UNITY 3D instead it's easyer to import 3D meshes from MAX, Blender or even Sketchup. Less headhaches and more creativity with Unity 3D.
With Hammer you gety stuck with models that comes with the games, and limited by the complex AI scripting and triggering.
With Unity 3D you will be able to learn and create.
