  • I miss my 82' F-150

  • You forget to press the peadl to start the car

  • 00:27 "well I'll see if she fires up"

00:39 "see if I can get the badboy started"

soooo, is it a male or a female, kyle??

  • @NEWanjingkepala3 it's a transvestite.

  • comes fully loaded wit power nothing

  • rather have this or a 1986 K20 6.2 turbo over a new F150 or Silverado...hell we have a new Silverado

  • Id take this F1500 before Id take a 2012 F150 of any kind. lol. Old Trucks FTW!

  • sounds like a diesel

  • I miss the pratical and affordable trucks of yesteryear... Now trucks cost $40-60,000 and have more features than a 5 star hotel room. BTW I would buy this and restomod it w/ a 5.0L EFI V8, some 18" Cragars and a Torch Red paint job w/ grey interior and Vintage Air AC

  • i believe i'd a looked at that lil red express in front of that f150 but thats just me.

  • that truck starts up better than most the new cars damn good old ford

  • id give em abot 600 to 800 bucks for it just for a good dependable beater, and the ac still works... hell yeah. you gotta love these old trucks. iknow my favorite body styles are the 80 to 86 and especially the 67 to 72, O yeah bump side racing baby.

  • i would totally buy this truck. even in this condit and use it as a daily driver. im about to turn 15 and have my dads 04 f-150, but i like an older style truck.

  • good truck to use for scrapping metal

  • @mopardodge00 Your a dumbass that truck is in really good shape for being 30 years old!

  • @RoscoeCarMan No your the dumbass, i meant to use it to pick up scrap metal for money. love the truck!

  • the 80-86 had the best looking front end style of these models

  • @lovemetalhatejuggalo i always like the 76 f 100 grills.

  • @lovemetalhatejuggalo I disagree. '78-'79 models look better.

  • 6 people drive Dodge.

  • Diesel? sounds like it, even though says "unleaded".

  • why are you so rough on shit

its a good truck treat it with respect

  • what a great truck

  • i want one.....

  • thats weird, dana 44 ttb yet its a 4x2? i thought they had straight axles in 81 if they were not 4x4

  • @KLX1990 no sir, they have had twin I beam suspension since the mid 60s on the 2WD fords, and ford put the dana 44 twin traction beams on the trucks from 1980 to 1996. In fact theres an original commercial from like 69 advertising the tib suspension here on youtube "WORKS LIKE A TRUCK, RIDES LIKE A CAR" 1969 FORD F-100 AD

  • I wish my four wheelers started as easy as this thing... :(

  • 4:42 Shut the hell up, Buzzer!

  • 8:26 Small bolt pattern wheels? Just like mine. Canadian built... BTW: Is the red dodge one of them "Lil Red Express Wagons"? I seen the chrome stacks..

  • dude ur videos are awesome keep up the good work!

  • Thanks im enjoying all of these vids, have only seen few american cars before, this enables me to see a wide variety of some ov the great cars out there.

  • Hi from England, what is the left pedal on the far side for? never seen this on any vehicle before, im guessing some kinda clutch for the semi automatic box.

  • @rutter1ify i didnt really see it but i assume its the emergency break :)

  • @rutter1ify

    Hello from the United States,

The pedal on the far left is the emergency brake. It is not a clutch pedal; the driver uses this pedal for certain instances whenever the vehicle is being parked on a hill or incline. Therefore, when this emergency brake is engaged, it prevents the vehicle from moving forward or backward while on a hill or incline. Some other vehicles have a pull lever type of emergency brake instead of a pedal. Hope this info helps! ;)

    -Matt

  • @rutter1ify Thats a foot operated mechanical parking brake.

  • now this is what I'm talking about!

  • Why did ford put that stupid "gauge" in the middle of the instrument panel? It looks dumb as hell.

  • @DamnStraightM35A2 you mean the space for the tack, it was optional extra in those days

  • them rods are knockin like hell! might want to put some 20w-50 or 30w oil in it.

  • i owned a 1981 ford f100 custom mine had the 300 inline 6 cyl motor and 3 speed with od in the floor i was a moron for trading that truck off ive missed that old truck for 18 years now cant find another like it who ever has my old truck "george" i want him back !

  • "gotta love that classic buzzer" correction: gotta hate that classic buzzer xD... i would have gone insane hearing that for years everytime i hear that buzzer

  • the 1980-1986 Ford F100 was assembled in Cuautitlan, Mexico Dearborn, Michigan, USA Kansas City, Missouri, USA Norfolk, Virginia, USA St. Paul, Minnesota, USA General Pacheco, Argentina Louisville, Kentucky, USA Wayne, Michigan, USA Oakville, Ontario, Canada, San Jose, California,USA
  • MAN I have been looking for that exact truck since I was 16. Just cant find old truck like that were I'm from. SALT ROADS

  • what's that gage in the middle of the dash for?

  • @91jchevy87ec1 It was probably for an optional clock, or tachometer, which this particular vehicle didn't have, so the gauge just remained "vacant."

  • thats a ford for ya always start right up

  • @TheCarlover97 Ahmen to that, I drive a 96 Ranger that starts up like a snap every morning

  • Dude nice truck. Best ones Ford ever made

  • Daves farm worthy

  • What an awsome truck i have a 94 f15O but i wanna go older.

  • check out my f100 i made a video of it...i always was ashamed of having my 81 f100 but after watching your vid it inspired me to appreciate what i have check it out i'll send it as a response

  • i have been driving an 1981 f-100 for about 8 years and it runs great. it has tha 4.9L 300 which has great low ans midrange torque for carrying almost any load. it also has a three on the tree tranny and about 25 to 30,000 miles on a rebuilt engine

  • weres this at and how much

  • LOL...i love how the oil pressure dont move when you started it up..lol Love these old girls!

  • i have a 1970 f100 long bed i love it!but the gas tank behind the seat kinda scares me

  • Just look at that Engine Compartment !! Lots of room to work on and Nothing Complicated like todays POS Boxes

  • it just has a problem with the compressor thats all

  • why do we need to see underneath the car...

  • @goethe77777777777777 anybody who would ask such a question knows nothing about cars

  • now i like that truck. thats nice.

  • Nice truck. I want an older Ford truck.

  • jeez, thing sounds like a diesel

  • can you make a video of you test driving it?

  • i whant the 1970`s dodge in the frount of the ford 100

  • Not in bad shape for an '81 work truck. Just needs a tach.

  • I love that steering wheel lol.

  • lol, duct tape does fix everything =)

  • kinda looks like ricks ranger. lol

  • My boss used to have one of these. He gave it to his son. Man what a truck...his was a 4 speed manual on the floor. Very fast truck. Love seeing older Ford pickups still running/driving like that, great vid!

  • Nice truck to restore top to bottom.

  • sure thats the 302, sounds like a diesel!

  • i wana see the red dodge in front, and hear the crazy exhaust it has.

  • I'd replace the a/c throttle controller and put in a three-quarter bench seat for comfort. I miss my old root beer colored '84 Ranger longbed :( great truck for unloading at the dump.

  • some of those cars would be great for DAVIDSFARM!

  • haha yes. you can fix anything with duct tape for sure.

that's one old truck but she keeps running at least

  • do a video on the truck in front on this one the red one please

  • There is something cool about a well used truck. Great video! Oh and Kyle could you do a video on that right hand drive Jeep Wrangler they have there I believe. That would be awesome!

  • What's that cross hair kinda thing above the drive indicator?

  • @markkjay I think some models came with tachometers, that's just what it looks like if you don't have one. Of course I could be wrong.

  • @markkjay its where the optional tach would go.

  • I'm sure if you actually took the time to look at the domestic vehicle offerings currently available, you would be surprised. If you are looking for boring, cookie-cutter design, look at a honda/acura dealership lot or toyota/lexus lot. Talk about boring, blatant rebadging. Take a look at the Cad. CTS coupe or Camaro, or Charger SRT8, or Grand Cherokee SRT8, or new Mustang. Then there's the full size trucks. They can't be more stylish. I think you might just be stuck in the 80s, no offense

  • @avick84 exactly right

  • sorry Kyle, i enjoy your videos so much, but i have to go and see that epic soccer match...GO SPAIN!!!

  • This truck has potential for a restoration project. Couldn't believe it's in very good shape.

  • those old day was sooo simple.very simple dashboard.i enjoyed it

  • i subbed to you

  • @TheGiraffe19 I subbed to him like....2 years ago?

  • wow those ae rear now in days, i am sure it runs just need alot of pumpin :D

  • Gotta love your old school '80s ford trucks!!!!!!!

  • Sounds like the engine is knocking a bit, but that body is PHENOMINAL! You'll NEVER find one in that condition up here! My grandfather had a 1983 F150 that completely rotted out 20 years ago.

  • i want this truck. it would be a fun restoring truck.

  • What a beautiful running truck i was truly amazed how quick it started. It was a cold engine thats why it stalled.

  • What about the old Grand Wagoneer sitting back there?

  • @ytfan81 he made a video of it. Check his channel.

  • Kyle, did you start that truck without pumping the gas?

  • how id love to restore this and put in the new ford 5.0 412 hp dude

  • nice videos!!! wat engine the 302 or the 351w??? thank you!!!

  • That ratteling may just be the A/C compressor. When they get worn they sometimes make noise.

  • @KennayLee It is, the oldercompressors will outlast the motor, but make a hell of a racket. You can tell by the way the sound smooths out when he revs the motor, and how you can still hear the motor.

  • love the duct tape on the seat.

  • I love the body style of these trucks

  • i love these f100's

  • I'd buy it just for the cup holder. Syke. Like to see what chip foose would do to this.

  • This back lot that you are at, where is it located?

Also, that BUZZER sounds like a fire alarm.

  • Comment removed

  • can you do a video of that subaru in the background

  • OMGi would love to have that truck. it may not be the best condition. But i know a decent truck when i see one XD

  • @halflife103 you can tell a good vehicle by its personality

  • @Jon13bur haha, the wear & tear means it can handle whatever you can throw at it XD seriously, i love these old automatics.... so simple.

  • Nothing better than playing Katy Perry in that truck lol!

  • What is the buzzing noise?

  • @jacob247hhplayer door ajar i think.

  • @ saabkyle04

    Where is that?

  • That truck has seen better days for sure, but it runs pretty good and everything seems to work just fine. They don't build things that good anymore. I hope youre going to show us that red Dodge parked in front of it, it looks pretty cool. Great video Kyle!

  • @herofrombelow I will show it, probably will go tape it monday and upload it next week!

  • thats an awesome truck for its age! gotta love fords =)

  • almost sounds like a diesel, that engine looks rebuilt

  • I love that body style, as well as the early to mid '90's body style. I have an attachment to ford trucks of that era.

  • That`s my favorite Ford Pickup model. In fact, it is the only one. Distinctive American style, from a time Detroit produced all sorts of interesting designs, admired all over the world, instead of today`s mostly bland designs that barely catch up with the competition. I`ll buy a couple and have them restored some day. Great video!

  • @lcfanyc what about cadillac and chevy.. and ford and dodge... they all make world class vehicles that stand out from the crowd.. japanese have become very bland imo

  • @avick84 While quality, safety and many other aspects have undoubtedly improved, I was referring to styling. Pretty much everything from the 80`s had a much more exciting look. Cars like the Chevrolet Camaro, Caprice, Celebrity, Pontiac Firebird, Grand Prix, Mercury Sable, Cougar, Ford Taurus, Thunderbird, Chrysler LeBaron, to name just a few. There are a couple of exceptions here and there, of course, but most of it is pretty disappointing.

  • I could use so many parts off this truck for my 1980 F100.

Sweet vid man.I love seein these old trucks.

  • only ford makes cars last 29 years :P

  • haha! i swear everytime i get in the car California Gurls is on!

  • This was interesting. This is why that truck is the number one selling vehicle all these years later. They meant what they said when they said built "Ford Tough".

  • Its most likely its 170,348. They didn't add a 6th digit back then because they didn't think cars would run that far. I saw a beautiful Subaru at 6:10.

  • @saabkyle04 wee, were on a roll!! keep it rolling... (roll, roll, roll, roll)

  • Redneck seat repair @ 0:42

  • this thing sounds like a tank when its running lol ...

  • wat the hell is that strange gauge in the middle of the dash for?

  • @zhek13 It's not a gauge,it's a filler plate. This is where the Tach goes on trucks and Broncos with the Sports Instrumentation Package.

  • we used to have an 82 f100, it was the base of all base models, 300 straight six, 4 speed manual, no air, but it was a good truck. but unfortunately due to living in the rust belt up north when we got rid of it it was pretty much the Flintstones mobile with no floors lol.

  • I love your videos Kyle! Keep them coming man.

  • Damn I love old Ford trucks

  • Wow working AC!!!

  • nice old Ford!

  • do that dodge lil red express in front of you

  • For anybody that watches "Corner Gas", a Canadian TV show, this is Hank's truck, right?

  • @saabkyle04 can you do the truck in front of the F100 (the red one)

  • im still saying its a diesel cuz it surely sounds like one lol it all most sounds like a 6.9 IDI diesel

  • @josh198869 I checked to make sure, the records show it having a 5.0 V8, it's old and tired haha

  • @josh198869 Yup, that's why it has spark plugs on it, because it's a diesel. Lol.

  • @ncarter124 well it sure sounds like it but your right lol

  • @josh198869 Yeah I think it has a slight rod knock. It's seen better days, but still a good work truck.

  • nice

  • WOW I HAVE A FORD JUST LIKE THIS!! mine is a 1981 but its a F-250 not a F100.... mine also has a tach. too.

  • @Hawkskill818 That's awesome man haha, I love it when I stumble upon something that my subscribers have, definitely trucks with character!

  • @saabkyle04 lol mine used to be a brown color too... when i got it, it was like bright red and had a white hood and white doors lol... but I got it re-painted, now it is like a deep maroon red.. suppost to be from a a Ford Explorer but you never see the color lol... mines got the 5.7 (351) Modified V8 too.... these are pretty sweet trucks but the gas mileage aint too great :/ 10 city 11 highway hah

  • @saabkyle04 is it for sale and wich deller?

  • @saabkyle04 is it for sale and if so wich deller

  • @cooperba1 monroe motor company, they have a website, you can give em a call if you'd like!

  • this Ford is OLD! not even a tach come on :) good vid tho

  • my grandpa wanger has a f-150 year 1981 ranger custom and its white

  • do that dodge ahead of it if you get the chance! cool video! very educational for the younger youtubers interested in cars.

  • @gajda1984 I will eventually if I can get the keys and a battery. it's a 1978 Lil Red Express, very rare truck made in limited numbers and was told the motor is blown which is why it's sitting there :/

  • what is that a diesel cause sounds like a diesel

  • @matthebest018 Its a carbed 5.0 gas. Not diesel

  • @matthebest018 they didn't have diesels for pickups in 81, they came with the 6.9L diesel in 83 or 84

  • Oh course it will start, it's a Ford!

  • @mmz77 because it is ford ,in most time they don't starts even when they are new :)

  • the interior looks pretty okay for a car that old...
