The Studio model provides more bass and overtones than the Portrait due to Rosewood being a heavier/denser wood than mahogany. Rosewood reflects more of the sound energy, while Mahogany absorbs more of this. Also I might note, you get more clarity and you more easily hear the fundamental notes with Mahogany. With Rosewood there's more overtones, everything rings out more, and almost provides a dark and dimmer feel.
I prefer the Rosewood myself. Try both to find your preference!
that groove is everything but sudamerican, it seems greek to me...but who knows and who care ?...there are not such barriers these days, almost everything goes...
what seagull artist series would have the most bass. The studio ore the portrait?
