Great video - like your commenting - right on the mark.
San Jose's - the "hub of great thinkers" - unemployment rate has increased . . . no surprise.
Unemployment rates and massive poverty will soon skyrocket across the country, across all income brackets, since decent jobs continue to shrink while daily costs - gas, water, food and electricity - keep rising.
Funny money games are over . . . end of the Yuppie culture . . . let it fall, crumble, fumble and stumble as it should.
I think that US states and Canadian provinces that are able to stand on their own two feet should secede. The entire western half of the USA and Canada should go their own separate way and be their own country. We've got lots of wide-open space. Back East, it's crowded and unemployment is much worse. So if you are west of the Great Lakes (including western Ontario) and west of the Mississippi River (including Minnesota), let's get a secession movement going and call it quits with the East.
I'm already jonesing (admittedly) for his next video. I hope he hasn't gotten frustrated by all the negativity out there. Both in the subject matter and on the comment boards here. Surely he's just taking a well deserved break. Cheers!

yes, we should all, as persons, sue as persons, the corporations who fatten us, serve us gmo foods, and, sell us toys with lead on them, sue the beasts, starve the beasts. rated 5 and fav'd
Another giant step for facism and corporate power, they have the same rights as an individual but way more money and power, who is going to loose in almost every decision? You and I. Good work Demcad.
I'm against corporation's person-hood too. The people behind the corporations have rights (and speech rights), but to give a corporation speech rights inevitably misrepresents shareholders just as much as public officials misrepresent the public. But given that corporations are legal persons, the court had no choice, imo -- it's corporate personhood that needs to be challenged.
We bandy these numbers around so much that most of us fail to comprehend just how much money that is.
If you spend 1 million dollars every day since the birth of Christ to today its less than 1 trillion dollars. 1.9 trillion....that's obscene. Government does not produce anything, they are the cancer of those of us who actually produce.
I think the vietnamese must have castrated and analy raped john mc cain. I'm not sure this is bad. As of now, corporation have to give their money to lobbyists, who use it for who knows what. Now, corporations can take their ads directly to the people. And why shouldn't they, if Congress is about to put them out of business? Many religious groups have been prohibited from documentaries and ads due to McCain Feingold, so I am glad this part of it was overturned.

"sounds a bit shady"? The U.S. gov't is so heavily influenced by corporate powers it's ridiculous. Look at all the people who worked at Monsanto, then for the gov't, then back at Monsanto. It is ridiculously corrupt, and given a guise of legitamicy through the excuse of capitalism.
governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government
You are right Corps should not have the power to financially support with no limits. This is sick. It is not in the mainstream media. There is an elephant in the room!!!
I won't consider immigrants my competition. Really why would any american consider a immigrant that just came here their competition. Hell if any immigrant can take my job I'll throw in my bmw and house.
I think Americans have no rights. What's a right? Secondly, who cares? People with guns have rights. They have the right to blow your head off, and once that's done, let's see you fight for your right to exist. Those who control have the right to eliminate those who do not. Munch on it. Nom nom nom!
Maybe we can call those who've lost their unemployment benefits, quit looking for work, or are working part time (like 8 hours a week)....the Zombie Index.
I've been trying to get a job at an orphanage. First, I showed up in my dress clothes and inquired about the organization. On the first visit, I filled out an application, submitted my resume and three letters of recommendation. On the second visit, I touched base on what they were doing. I recently, dressed up and visited them again. This time I submitted a cover letter. So I've been targeting organizations consistently. Wish me Luck!
So in theory if everyone in Michigan were unemployed until their benefits ran out then the unemployment rate would be zero. With a system like that the rate will always reflect an artificially low number.
... I think they're trying to get the foreign debt holders to dump their assets and crash us... The thing is.. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but that seems like the most obvious motive
If i was the Chinese PM I totally would dump the assets...
they're not getting that money back, they might as well dump it, get it monetized at a loss and take what they can get.
You're right about the Chinese not getting paid and neither is anyone else. Looks like you figured it out. These armchair economists kill me. Those numbers don't mean a damn thing to BROKE people. It's people with money and no influence aka "new" money who should be worrying not the folks on this channel.
I'm not just making this up in my armchair.. Plenty of professional economists have said it before I did... I just find it odd that the U.S. would take on more debt while everyone knows it won't be able to pay back the current debt.. I was just pointing out the OBVIOUS incentive for nations holding the debt to turn it in before the currency loses value...
Don't have to be an investment banker to put the 2 together..
Bishop, are you touching on the Treasury Holdings of Foreign nations?
I'd like to hear your take on this because I follow the stats as they are posted monthly. My understanding is, the first country to redeem their treasuries will be rewarded with the most valuable dollars. Once the dollars are received, this country will IMMEDIATELY trade them for physical goods. Once this secondary transaction happens, the potential for total dollar collapse is unavoidable. Thoughts on this concept?
Why are corporations seen as people under the law? They can't be jailed for crimes like people can. They can't be born or naturalized into citizenship like people can. Its not slavery when one company owns another. There are no longer any limits on how much cash a corporate "person" can dish out to buy officials into office, yet there are limits on what individuals can.
I hope there's a place in Hell for the five justices who did this today, and I hope they fucking rot there when they die.
@nembutals. You are right. This administration is so arrogant, they think they can get away with anything. I am donating to any person running for the senate who i believe is decent and honest. It is not much, but it is a little something i can do to try to help them get into the Senate and possibly make some changes and turn the tide back the other way.
"This administration" did not rule on this case, a conservative majority on the Supreme Court did. President Obama said he is going to work with the Congress to reverse this decision's effects through the legislative process, which is a good thing.
I dont see why you still actually believe the system is gonna make things better, you know its not going to work properly. It's hard to say whats going on with all these conspiracy theories out there, you never know it might be true. I think the whole government is shady it should've been untrustworthy years ago. Its taken so long because most Americans are in a dream state, they beleive what ever is socially and exclusively acceptable. People are finally gonna wake up.
@muskadime. You are right in ways. I am trying to keep the faith and believe that their are people like Ron Paul that will make a difference. I am wide awake and I am not sure if we will ever be where we were. One things for certain, people need to wake up.
They can't get what we don't have. They're not looking to get it from us. They'll just keep invading countries and forcing them to privatize their industries and natural resources. Do you think we really go to places like Haiti to "help?" LOL
President Theodore Roosevelt has to be rolling in his grave at this very moment. He's the one who warned us against the "robber barons", and he was the last decent republican. I fear for my Country at times like these, when unlimited greed is allowed to use the 1st Amendment as cover legally. Please go to savedemocracydotnet to fight this attempt by republicans and the right wing to deliver our Country into the hands of the merchants of greed who only care about the all-mighty dollar!
What are they really trying to do? This is so sad, either they are freaking stupid idiots (most plausible), or they are cooking up a batch of nasty shit.
talk about dilution, I wouldn't hold stock in a company that continually diluted my shares, so why hold cash ? Having a 100,000 in the bank won't seem like crap when that's the price for a compact car .. oh well atleast my mortgage will be tiny also.
Thank you for explaining it to this guy. Youtube is a dangerous place because any and everybody can pretend to be an expert and there's no shortage of sheep following and cheering them on.

A little info can be dangerous. People on channels like these have simplistic solutions to systemic, complex problems. It's like kids who just now realize that babies don't come from the stork. There is, has been and always will be a ruling class who will use ANY means to maintain power. That I'm sure of. The attempt to rationalize this and cope with the fear it causes creates wacky reactions from people ill equipped to mentally digest the gravity of the situation.
@skyding8962 Now that's real talk... And with an exception of the leader types whether they prove to be right or wrong. The leader types are usually smart. It's the followers I worry about. And they like to call others Sheeple, yet they are the sheeple themselves.
200,00 is far from a major city. Perhaps if America didn't destroy Haiti's rice, concrete and other exportable commodities by forcing Aristide to turn the nation into a country dependent on American imports like rice that they once produced they wouldn't have to come here for work.
@badjohn007:"The debt is meaningless because the value of the money is a figment of our imagination."
If the dollar isnt real, and all of the other fiat currencies in the world merely exist as digits in computers, Which nations win, and which lose? I talk to some very smart people about this often, noone seems to have an answer. If all global currencies collapse, what happens? Is it possible for everyone to go poor at once? OR do we have to redefine what it means to be wealthy or poor
If it weren't for the corporate business organization, lawyers in the US would have nothing left to do other than help Chinese and Koreans evict mexico's people.
hi demcad, the supream court gave the corp. a way to black mail any polatition that dont vote their way. by letting the corp. give unlimited cash to the ones that vote the corp. way. please what do you make of this............love and peace hillbilly mik
@m6996j that ruling is fair. Would be better if they removed individual donations. That would be fair. So with that Supreme Court ruling. It should be called Buy a Federal gov't position. Remember Brownie from FEMA from Katrina. he was a GW Bush donor.
You have it wrong since 1907 Theodore Roosevelt over 100-years ago now we have fascism is alive and well in America now we are just waiting for the killing to begin?
History shows us that all Fascist dictators killed their own people ,When will America begin? How many will have to die ?
Now that's a REAL backpack! External frames don't win beauty contests, but they are the best for carrying a variety of loads. One nice thing about them is that you can usually detach the bag from the frame allowing you to portage water, fuel etc. Nice.....
What can I say, I read the newspaper today and in particular the "Investing section" and i swore I did not look at the comedy section when I bought it.
It wasn't anywhere near what MSM can be however, as they actually had good points on gold in it. Noneless the same old shit from MSM
Oh well, what can you do
Thanks for the vid, 5* and if i could do 6 i would
Debt level again, must be why Gold is selling off! Actually They need Gold down because it competes with Treasury's as a highly liquid safehaven asset.
Demcad here you are WRONG.This will take some power away from the secret back door lobbyist deals. Corps can now speak their minds in the OPEN through their employees and stock holders.Notice how the Biggest crooks and opponents to FREE SPEECH ;like Chucky Schummer are threatening to pass a law against the ruling.Hmm. wonder why?could it be that he likes the gravy train.
The McCain-Feingold campaign-finance law bared certain corporate-funded television broadcasts, such as a documentary, in the 60 days before a general election, with the exception of the MSM broadcast (Anyone think they are fair?) This was really a win for free speech.
Americans really just keep taking it up the poop shoot, and none of you seem to care. Why? It aint much different here in Canada, but our people are just laid back to begin with. But Americans, are they really this lethargic now?
I am a new subscriber and have some questions I would like to know where you find your information I am fairly ignorant to must of this stuff and would like to be more involved in my own research. Well any help would be greatly appreciated
absolutely wrong on the court case - the court held that citizens shouldn't be imprisoned for making political speech. It's not giving corporations any rights, it's just allowing people to spend money on what they want - money that they have gotten from their business
we cannot keep spending like this. we've already got too much debt and they want to raise it higher without having a plan to balance the budget? hell no we shouldn't raise the debt ceiling. And yeah, there should be no such thing as political contributions; they allow special interests to infect our government. There should be an exact amount of money that each candidate can spend on their campaign so that every candidate merely stands on their political views.

Kick them out and give the jobs to the unemployed Americans.
And no!!!! There are a lot of illegals working in this country that make a darn good living.
Your unemployed and think that you want open borders, I hope you enjoy not having a job

Corporations ARE persons.
They are legal fictions created by the legislature and given civil rights.
Those civil rights can also be taken away.
However, corporations are not lawfully equal to human beings - who have inalienable rights.
Today the Supreme Court has decided that the corporation's 1st Amendment rights ought not to be taken away and should remain equal to yours or mine.
IMO that is totally wrong.
Congress should revoke their free speech when it comes to campaign financing.

Of course they are not hiding the fact of who our real masters are. They have so much money they could buy elections. Silly judges.

200,000 Haitians coming to the US in Florida with work permits. Does that add to unemployment?
Or do they have a job at Epcot?
That number of people is a major city. It just doesn't make sense. We can't handle the extra unemployed.
1776Reborn 2 years ago
200,00 is far from a major city. Perhaps if America didn't destroy Haiti's rice, concrete and other exportable commodities by forcing Aristide to turn the nation into a country dependent on American imports like rice that they once produced they wouldn't have to come here for work.

what is the point of a debt ceiling if you just raise it every time you reach it.
gone556 2 years ago 7
The debt is meaningless because the value of the money is a figment of our imagination.

@m6996j that ruling is fair. Would be better if they removed individual donations. That would be fair. So with that Supreme Court ruling. It should be called Buy a Federal gov't position. Remember Brownie from FEMA from Katrina. he was a GW Bush donor.

Now that's a REAL backpack! External frames don't win beauty contests, but they are the best for carrying a variety of loads. One nice thing about them is that you can usually detach the bag from the frame allowing you to portage water, fuel etc. Nice.....

At least Obama did something great today. Hope that he really slaughters Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. No more too big to fail.
But i'm afraid that now the people will say this is bad just because this comes from a democrat. Its one of the best idea they had.

The McCain-Feingold campaign-finance law bared certain corporate-funded television broadcasts, such as a documentary, in the 60 days before a general election, with the exception of the MSM broadcast (Anyone think they are fair?) This was really a win for free speech.

absolutely wrong on the court case - the court held that citizens shouldn't be imprisoned for making political speech. It's not giving corporations any rights, it's just allowing people to spend money on what they want - money that they have gotten from their business

Aw come on. He's trying to incite people and you're spoiling it. lol

I agree that corporations shouldn't have that power. Most are international too which makes them even worse.

the way the government is spending everyone will be living out in the street without any belonging. They will own everything through default.

No. It's basically like the corporations paying for who they want in office.

It's your debt, good thing it's just paper, and they can print more that's why there debt is triple AAA
davincij15 2 years ago
No. I was just thinking of this topic when I logged on youtube an lo and behold.
azteksk 2 years ago
we cannot keep spending like this. we've already got too much debt and they want to raise it higher without having a plan to balance the budget? hell no we shouldn't raise the debt ceiling. And yeah, there should be no such thing as political contributions; they allow special interests to infect our government. There should be an exact amount of money that each candidate can spend on their campaign so that every candidate merely stands on their political views.
