I just killed the wretch right in that spot, don't kick him off even if he falls off. I saved the game and when I returned to the spot his ring was availible right where he was sitting. DON'T KICK HIM OFF!

i loled when you kicked him off the cliff, but if you do that you have to quit and reload the game so his items will appear where he fell down.... but i recommend not killing him as overall you will get better rewards by doing the firekeeper quest

I don't like that guy, either. That's why I killed him. The Crestfallen Knight, I mean XD I didn't even mean to attack him, but I did so I then got to spend about 5 hours trying to beat him with my level 14 character T.T I got it, finally.

Just FYI, when you kicked that gold knight off the ledge you can still get the (very awesome) item from his corpse. All you have to do is die (walk yourself over the edge or something) and the item will appear right where the gold knight used to be sitting. l8r

@dorkman135 I've heard you can reset NPCs to friendly by visiting the black priest dude shown at the beginning of this vid' and requesting absolution. 'Haven't tried it myself though.

also, how do you slide down a ladder, and how do you perform kick and jump attacks? i did what the tutorial told me at the beginning and it doesnt do anything for me just normal attacks.

STOP! DO NOT KICKING HIM OFF!

First, there is plenty of Humanity around so getting these 5 isn't really worth it. Especially if you lose them before even getting a chance to make use of them. Second, the Ring of Favor & Protection is a one time permanent use. What this mean is that if you put it on and take it off it will break, so your pretty much stuck wearing it. Invade & kill Lautrec later to get his Armor plus a powerful Catalyst. You also get the girls soul to bring her back to life.

Don't kick him off the cliff. If you're up to the challenge, killing him results in 5 humanity and a the Ring of Favor and Protection, which will increase your stamina and health. You can kill him pretty easily by using magic or ranged combat. But if not, simply attacking him after he rolls works well.

@LethalWood You get both of those things if you kick him off the cliff, you just have to leave and come back for the items.

Hey for the people that kicked him off the cliff and want his iteams ps only works if u havent gotten a save point past when u kicked him off but if u quit and reaload ur game his pillage body thing should be there he drops 5 humantity and a nice ring i suggest doig it thumbs up so people can see

The guy you kicked off the cliff drops one of the best rings you can get. The Ring of Favor and Protection boosts your Boosts stamina, HP and Equip load by 20%.

Its a shame its at the bottom of a cliff now.

Listening to Ben commentate the last video really made me want you two to make your own LPs adn channel. From my past experiences with HowCast, the gaming section you guys are running is 10000% percent more professional then the whole site filled with low Q vids that dont really show you anything. Also, In my option, I would never watch a full playthrough of any game WITHOUT commentary so keep the commentary coming.
