Three options I think:

a) reform the system from within. -unfeasible, the powers that be essentially control who attains what offices and which don't

b) fight and destroy the system (revolution) -also unfeasible, the radical technology they posses is advanced enough to depopulate the planet easily

c) submit to it. you already know that drill.

d)flee from it. -if slavery is just intolerable to you, become a roughneck on the fringe of society
