i played flight sim for 12 years before stepping inside the cessna 172 for my starting flight training...it was so different. guys FSX is a simulation yes but the flight dynamics and physics on it are very unrealistic unless u say pay 100 bucks for some top notch payware. the default FSX aircraft are a horrible representation of real life flight.
To all you FSX jockeys who have never stepped foot inside a light jet, much less sat in the left seat, just keep your opinions in the form of questions as you have absolutely no idea whats being experienced. Big difference in traveling at 120 knots on approach with quartering winds vs 0 knots with the refrigerator 10 feet away.
Yes if this is your first jet landing well done. It will take time to get used to the speeds, handling and generally things happen much faster. A little early in the flare, looked like a slight crosswind. Approach or Vref is 1.3 power off stall speed = 108kts.
How much did you pay for your rating? Did they give you type for 500 and 550?
You have to fly multi-crew right? Only SP and CJ are single.
At PrestoSim in Dallas TX, when you go there to get your type rating, they give you the training on the simulator but the final checkride is on a real airplane.
who cares? stable approaches must happen no matter what the wind, and judging by the fact he is flying I'm sure he knows. We all have crappy approaches and landings.

graycloud057 1 year ago
it was easy... the approach was not bad, but the guy holding the camera at the passenger seat could make some movement due to the turbulence.

They just look very incompetent pilots coming into land THAT fast.
PRSOV 2 years ago
@PRSOV It's really not that fast, just looks like it from the inside, same with a Cessna172.
