I'm a firm supporter of the First Amendment, but I've come to believe that serious consideration should be given to shutting down Fox News. Freedom of speech does not include freedom to lie and mislead -- which is precisely what Fox News does on a daily basis, blatantly and shamelessly. They should have their license revoked for this.

That's ridiculous that Fox News aired that false footage. However, given that RT is funded by the Russian government, I felt that his report was very opinionated and overly-demonized the US. I agree that the media in the US has its problems, but the amount of violence against journalists and the impunity of the perpetrators is staggering. this report got me to retweet it, just because it was Fox news being caught red-handed in distortion AGAIN. But the entire report is a bit confusing and convoluted. It doesn't really make much sense out of why FOX wants this protest discredited. I think this was a protest very much akin to Occupy, & therefore a target ( they are losing leverage on Occupy here, so went with used "foreign images" they could use to fuel their inane meme about violent protesters and associate this w/ Occupy

The only way of my dealing with Fox before was reading Jason Whitlock's columns (I'm huge fan of his reports&style). Thought Fox to have been quite allright. Meanwhile, it was rather daunting for me as well as for other native Russians, I presume, to see that kind of fraud report

You do realize that they didn't group the entire United States in with the misinformation, right? They just stated that Fox News misrepresented video footage of rioting in Greece as rioting in Russia and that many US news outlets are, simply, covering discontent in Russia. You kind of filled in the rest of those blanks to make it look that way...further perpetuating every stereotype about ignorant, egotistical Americans (this being said as an American). Maybe watch it again?

That's ridiculous that Fox News aired that false footage. However, given that RT is funded by the Russian government, I felt that his report was very opinionated and overly-demonized the US. I agree that the media in the US has its problems, but the amount of violence against journalists and the impunity of the perpetrators is staggering. Russia is ranked 140th in press freedom my Reporters Without Borders. Why doesn't the Russian government do something about that?
