I've always been able to distinctly remember how this game starts. I used to watch my older brother play this all the time when we were kids.

this game was one of the reasons i got my n64 its a great castlevania game from music to gameplay and sound effects story its cool too. wish it was on the wii vc

I plaed this game once and i thought that you have to give this game alot of slack. they were switching over to 3D and didnt know how to really pesent it so yeah i thought it was good.

I still remember this game as annoying difficult for the N64 time (in which pretty much every game was super easy).

But most the time difficult is better than easy; at least for real Nerds ...

One, has it ever occurred to you that this is a speed run and that jumping makes you go slightly faster.

yeeeah. It's amazing i used to play this alot when i was around age..what..6-8 with my dad. It's funny , i can imagine myself having a frightening psychedelic expierience to my past on hallucinogens and hearing the dieing sound of the monkehy thing.

I got this game on my like 8th birthday and i was sooooo happy :D the luck lasted untill I realized i couldnt save my progress since my memorycard sucked too hard. so I left my N64 on 24 7 just to complete this game :D

I still remember the day I bought this, every one at school hated it because it was'nt in the "classic" side scrolling form. I on the other hand realized that this game was gold, and I've beaten it so many times I find my self playing through it in little over an hour. Sad thing is I still have no Clue what you do with the "Special1" when you pick it up in the forest of silence. or is there another one to be picked up some wheres?

I also remember those days well. I remember thinking it was a pretty big deal. I also remember I "kind of" stole the game and someone asked if I would give my copy to them and I basically told them to steal their own.

I tend to blame it all on the evil influence Dracula holds over my evil wretched heart. He made me steal this game! CURSE YOU DRACULA! CURSE YOU TO HELL!!!

i love this game, its was my first cv. i borrowed it when i was little but could never get past forest of silence. i later bought Legacy of Darkness 9awesome) but this Forest of Silence always had a scarier feel to it, with the thunder and stuff. i still want cv64 just to be complete.

It may not be the "traditional" Castlevania but I find it rather refreshing that they took the time to really show us the world in 3D. I liked it for that fact. I actually miss this game.

A lot of people say this game sucks because it's in 3D and not like a traditional slide-scrolling Castlevania game. If you see it as a stand alone game though, it's aweseome, and still a lot better than Simon's Quest.

always thought this game blows, and after growing up a bit lol I still think the same, though it was their first dip into the 3d era, other than that never and never would bother with this, loved the very first one, and didnt get back into it till Lament of Innocence, a game I WILL BE BURIED WITH lol I love it so much.
