@5ento1 no the gt3rs 4.0 is an amazing car but it still isnt as good as this. this is just meant for the track though, no air conditioning no radio, just a stiffer gt3rs suspension, a lot of weight loss, and a tuned up gt2 engine with 90 hp more

@TheTopOfTheCrop Anyone can get cheap power out of any engine with giant turbos and minimal turbo lag with ALS systems. However such modified engines are not built for such power and will not be reliable. The GT2RS powerplant is probabably engineered to be reliable despite putting out 620hp from a 3.8 litre tt.

I'll take the GT3 RS and the blonde. GT2 RS is too much car for most people. GT3 RS is all you need. My cousin has the old version and a Carrera GT, Ruf turbo, Enzo, F40 and 360 CS. I like his GT3 RS the most.. What a great car.

Has good ground clearance so you can drive it on gravel and go semi off-roading,you can even drive it on snow and still feel like a hero.you can fit two golf clubs on the boot,has rear seats,premium leather heated seats and a mind blowing Bose sound system.And cost less for maintenance and insurance …GTR is still KING.

@ndrcprochaos actually if you think again it is not a big science. The real good thing is the power to weight ratio and almost zero lag of turbos.
Theoretically a single turbo charger is enough to squeeze out any amout of hp from an engine till the point engine walls' will blow apart. So with strong engine walls, a turbo can surely boost a small displacement engine to high power.
the reall wonder is 2 trubos and yet so light weight in 600+hp class. It even beats 660hp ZR1 in the start, a fact.
@ndrcprochaos Yeah, that power comes from the two turbochargers. Not the engine. Regardless if it's pushing that from factory or not, there are 4-cylinders pushing way more than that with single turbochargers.

A very nice Porsche indeed. But why are so many people hating on the ZR-1? The Porsche is around 2.5 times more expensive. Invest another 15 grand in the ZR-1 for more downforce, tighter gearing an semi slicks and you will have a good contender for the GT2 RS.

@Gldani You have made a good point, the 911 is faster to 60 by .5sec, and is faster through the 1/4 mile by a total of :3 sec. The ZR1 out braked the 911 by 2ft. And at the track the ZR1 was quicker by 3.62 sec and that was a single lap. Lap after lap and 3.62secs adds up to a significant lead. Anyway the Porsche didn't finish the comparison. Porsche was faster in the straight line till the turbos blew, while the ZR1 is faster at the track and still drivable. And GTR? No idea

@Gldani Exactly, "no one [...] wou(l)dn't doubt...". As with everything, at the very top of automobile engineering competition is quite fierce and the differences not that big. But that doesn't mean that Porsche cars are not brilliant in general, they really are! Still, there are other brilliant brands out there and once Porsche would start to think like you they'd be soon forgotten :).
Car and driver march issue. Search for Porsche Turbo Corvette on their site and you`ll find the test on the Laguna Seca track. The ZR-1 was a full second faster on that track, bracked better and even handeled better.
@Airox2009 This is no normal Porsche Turbo. It's a GT2 RS. It's the fastest Porsche ever made and smoked the ZR-1's Nurburgring lap time. It beat everyone's lap time even the 458 Italia.
I know that the GT2 RS is quite a bit faster on the track than a normal Porsche Turbo. Still, with more downforce, tighter gearing and better tires a ZR-1 would most likely be a good competitor for the RS. The ZR-1 handles very well btw. Downforce is the word here. An ACR Viper already comes very close to an RS GT2 on the track because of massiv downforce.
@TheKielas I'm pretty sure they can make GT2 RS a lot faster to 60 than the Turbo S. It's gear ratio is probably setup more towards higher end runs. It's got a lot of carbon fiber parts, lighter. Stronger chassis with more track car character than day to day driving. On top of it breaks 200mph... I guess when that happens, it's a much easier sell than of any other reasons. It's not really a street car... if you know what I mean.. =P
As I have explained to TheKielas, the proper way to appreciate the GT2 is in its power across all gears. If you look at the 0-160km/h figures, GT2 quicker by 0.2 sec.... however, in real world conditions, you will still wield more torque in a higher rev range (up to 5000rpm). It simply has more usable torque and an insane amount of horsepower.
@babymegatron The GT2 RS xwill never be as quick as the Turbo s off the line! The Turbo S have AWD and it's very usefull to use each horspower! It is not because of the different gear ratios! You can see the RS haven't got a much higher top speed tha the Turbo or the GT2, despite the fact it has got more horsepower!
@masedama Of course it's quicker! but not of the line! Anf of course it's lighter, only 2WD, less comfort stuff.....BUT it is not a race car, it is very quiet and as comfortable as a C2S with PASM on sport mode
Turbo has better traction off the line because of its 4 wheel drive system. GT2's tremendous kick comes in during 3rd to 4th gear. My advice: If you can afford it, get the GT2!

@ndrcprochaos actually if you think again it is not a big science. The real good thing is the power to weight ratio and almost zero lag of turbos.
Theoretically a single turbo charger is enough to squeeze out any amout of hp from an engine till the point engine walls' will blow apart. So with strong engine walls, a turbo can surely boost a small displacement engine to high power.
the reall wonder is 2 trubos and yet so light weight in 600+hp class. It even beats 660hp ZR1 in the start, a fact.

@ndrcprochaos Yeah, that power comes from the two turbochargers. Not the engine. Regardless if it's pushing that from factory or not, there are 4-cylinders pushing way more than that with single turbochargers.

@ndrcprochaos i totally agree with you but this blond girl is saying 3.6 liter, so is it 3,8 or 3,6? also, nissan gtr has a 3.8 liter v6 which (only) has 480 HP BUT with a Switzer P800 kit it can have like 850 HP and can do 0-100kmh in 2,5sec. and nissan GT-R + the P800 kit is cheaper (much cheaper, you can do allot of other mods with the spare money) than this porsche. but i guess youre more the porsche fan :p

A very nice Porsche indeed. But why are so many people hating on the ZR-1? The Porsche is around 2.5 times more expensive. Invest another 15 grand in the ZR-1 for more downforce, tighter gearing an semi slicks and you will have a good contender for the GT2 RS.

@alyahrialyahri : Well, from 0 to 300 Km/h, the ZR1 does it in 35s (which is very fast!) but the GT2 RS does it in 28s, which makes a 650meters difference between both!! which is very huge!!! so the GT2 RS is much faster!

@Gldani You have made a good point, the 911 is faster to 60 by .5sec, and is faster through the 1/4 mile by a total of :3 sec. The ZR1 out braked the 911 by 2ft. And at the track the ZR1 was quicker by 3.62 sec and that was a single lap. Lap after lap and 3.62secs adds up to a significant lead. Anyway the Porsche didn't finish the comparison. Porsche was faster in the straight line till the turbos blew, while the ZR1 is faster at the track and still drivable. And GTR? No idea

But that doesn't mean that Porsche cars are not brilliant in general, they really are! Still, there are other brilliant brands out there and once Porsche would start to think like you they'd be soon forgotten :).

Car and driver march issue. Search for Porsche Turbo Corvette on their site and you`ll find the test on the Laguna Seca track. The ZR-1 was a full second faster on that track, bracked better and even handeled better.

I know that the GT2 RS is quite a bit faster on the track than a normal Porsche Turbo. Still, with more downforce, tighter gearing and better tires a ZR-1 would most likely be a good competitor for the RS. The ZR-1 handles very well btw. Downforce is the word here. An ACR Viper already comes very close to an RS GT2 on the track because of massiv downforce.

@TheKielas I'm pretty sure they can make GT2 RS a lot faster to 60 than the Turbo S. It's gear ratio is probably setup more towards higher end runs. It's got a lot of carbon fiber parts, lighter. Stronger chassis with more track car character than day to day driving. On top of it breaks 200mph... I guess when that happens, it's a much easier sell than of any other reasons. It's not really a street car... if you know what I mean.. =P

As I have explained to TheKielas, the proper way to appreciate the GT2 is in its power across all gears. If you look at the 0-160km/h figures, GT2 quicker by 0.2 sec.... however, in real world conditions, you will still wield more torque in a higher rev range (up to 5000rpm). It simply has more usable torque and an insane amount of horsepower.

@babymegatron The GT2 RS xwill never be as quick as the Turbo s off the line! The Turbo S have AWD and it's very usefull to use each horspower! It is not because of the different gear ratios! You can see the RS haven't got a much higher top speed tha the Turbo or the GT2, despite the fact it has got more horsepower!

Turbo has better traction off the line because of its 4 wheel drive system. GT2's tremendous kick comes in during 3rd to 4th gear. My advice: If you can afford it, get the GT2!

She's not quite accurate with the specification. The car is 611 not 620 bhp and the 0 to 62 mph time is 3.5 not 3.4 seconds.
Evo magazine here in the UK has reviewed the car and they list the cars specification as 611 bhp and a 0 to 62 mph time of 3.5 seconds.
But if I could afford the car I would get one. Over here the list price from September is £164,107.

And there are so many factors involved in 0-60 runs that even a half a second difference can be expected between tests. BTW she said 0-60 in 3.4 not 0-62 :P. i guess it takes .1 sec to go from 60-62 lol.
