  • I was singing this song by Indonesian version while hear their singing in English. I am Indonesian bdw. What a wonderful opportunity if every nation in this earth can get together and sing by their own language.

    :)

  • I love it.

  • fuck....amazing...!

  • We're singing this in our choir at Easter =)

  • In which movie has this been used ??.. I know for sure it has been used in some movies but can't remember which ones. does anyone know some ?

  • Oh!! my God! great music, i love it.

  • Oh! MY GOD !! I LOVE IT!!

  • Lindo!

  • yess!! this is the same arangment we sing at school! love it!

  • There is an audible "hum" in the background, very evident at the beginning, in softer passages, and after the end, otherwise, it was fucking gorgeous.

  • my high school chorus of like 20-30 people including robed chorus are singing this for our winter concert.

  • @4wheeldev Ours is going to be 130 people plus 20 from the orchestra :P

  • we r singing this in choir for a winter concert

  • im singing this ssong this year for our winter concert. nd im a soprano nd we always get lost lol.

  • Great piece! Great music! I love it.

  • Despite the fact that this song is burned in my head forever from singing it at EVERY christmas in EVERY choir I've ever been in....I still love it!!! One of my favorite pieces to do!

  • Beautiful, the highs and lows are amazing.

  • This song... makes life worth living.

    I love performing it :D

    **1st soprano baby**

  • I actual feel like in Heven. It's just like the singing of angels!!!

    GORGEOUS~

  • i crack up everytime i hear dis song

  • Um.. ground your recording equipment....

  • what does haliluyah means? and what language is that?

  • What a beautiful world with Mr Haendel We cannot do another thing that singing with all our soul happy happy we.

  • Great harmonics, but tempo is too fast throughout

  • i love this song, my high school sings it every year for our christmas concert

  • I went to high school with you :D Prep chorus ftw...

  • Very good, but it seems that the Hallelujah's get a little fast in the middle. Love the trumpet and drum.

  • It never tires if you pray and praise as your sing it. It is said that Handel felt that he saw all of Heaven and its Angels as he composed this. I know that I feel that way as I sing it. Amen!

  • GO TENORS!!!

  • They should sing this song at Obama's innagguration.

  • perfecto!!

  • Work on diction great soprano's my school does this perfect!

  • kewl!

    ur so silly 2t

  • DICTION pronounciation, and u had shallow at time, but you all have a really good voices

  • Merci pour le texte de Stefan Zweig, très beau, et que je ne connaissais pas. Le choeur est magnifique.

  • my school plays this song every year. band and chorus combined. im in the symphonic band and i have to say it is an amazing piece to play. although the baritone part is very hard. I love it

  • Yeah, and the bass part has to get both uncomfortably high and low :P

But it's so righteously awesome, I forget while I'm actually singing it

  • It's only to like a high D, which is not that high. But I do agree that it does get pretty low.

  • im a 1st tenor and i kicked ass

  • And 4 people think that's a bad thing to say. I'm a baritone, and love belting this one out. If any hymn or paean of praise can make a singer kick ass, it's Haendel's Hallelujah!

  • bonito... interpretação com um andamento mais acelerado... boa performace!!

  • Händel !!!!!!!!!!!!! or Haendel!

    ignorants!

  • foerster said, "Händel !!!!!!!!!!!!! or Haendel!

ignorants!" Well, I must say that _ignorant_ is an ironic term to use considering that he changed his name from Georg Friedrich Händel to George Frideric Handel and became a citizen of England 1726, yet composed the _Messiah_ in 1741.

  • You're totally right.

  • bring all the diction and vowel shaping to the front of the tongue and then it will sound more naturally English.

  • This is a nice interpretation of a very famous Handel work - they performed it better than the Auckland Philharmonic and Auckland choir did that's for sure!

They just needed to slow it down a bit, it felt a bit hurried in places. =)

  • muy bueno..

  • i love this song....

  • This is possibly the most beautiful piece of music written. I am not religious, but I cannot deny the beauty of this piece.

  • i totally agreee! i have been brought up as a catholic but i believe in buddha. But i don't have anything against other religions and this is a truly great piece of music

  • Zeldovich and laceyloola, I agree with you both. See watch?v=md-ws6knYkE one of the best Hallelujahs on YouTube, by a Chinese choir in Hong-Kong on 24 Dec 2006. Big family audience, obviously far from entirely christian, stand up and warmly applauses.

In same great ligue IMO with this one, that I love (I know well St-JB de Grenelle, I lived for a couple years 300m from there)

  • i'm singing this tonight and tomorrow at my choir concert=)

this version sounds much cooler though

  • I sang this for two Christmas's back in college and it's one of the most moving songs I've ever sung, it was sometimes hard to contain my enthusiasm and control my tone. Watch the fellow (bass?) in the top row, middle, he's really into it and this is a wonderful version. Merry Christmas, everyone !!.

  • I remember that too, I was a Soprano one, Yes I sang the HIGH note. Now I can get down to Mezzo though. (Even death growl :P)

  • you mean the A? well at least in the original the high note is and A. in this recording it's an F#.

  • we're singing this piece for our winter concert and im lead 1st soprano

  • Congrats! I hope you don't have wide vowels like this choir.

  • this is VERY VERY VERY good

  • we just did this song in my highschool choir christmas concert :D we did pretty well. of course not near is good as this.

  • beautiful and praise God! Hallelujah is the universal word, crossing all languages that communicates "Praise the LORD"

  • All of you commenting you are going to do this in a high school production number- good for you! You will have so much fun...but you are not going to sound near as good as this, SORRY!

  • thanks for the encouragement......

  • Yeah, we are doing this for our concert too. But its a more cool-like version. I can't wait!

  • I'm scared... I'm the lead tenor in my choir when we do this...... I hope we do well.:(

  • Reyrocksall: How'd it go...did you perform this yet? I am sure you will be great if you were picked as the lead tenor!

  • I love this song... we are doing all of Handels Messiah for our winter concert... just some 20 days away! =D

    Basses for the win!

  • Man, I remember doing it for my high school concert all those years ago. Trombones for the goal.

  • yay, i agree i am soprano ind this siong is a torture to practice.for me.........:-)

  • wow. nice performance. we're taking this for winter. tenor =D

  • i never found this song hard to learn but of course im not a soprano, the alto section totally easy we sing it every year..love it

  • ahh, we sing it every year too and it kills me every time i sing it.

sooo high XP [im in sop..]

  • Oh, I love this song.

I go to a great music school and we always sing this on or grand winter consert.

PS. We have the biggest "lucia train" in the world xD

  • really hard for me, what i did was print out the 4 part harmony and practiced at home.....

  • Good song and we had amazing teachers to teach us

  • we sing this every year in chorus

    it can be tricky

  • haha we are too and im in soprano!! so its uber high XD

  • we are singing this for our winter concert.

its an amazing song, but extremely difficult to learn!

so far its only the soprano and alto part, but it already sounds amazing!

  • we are singing this in my choir class... and we totally rock. lol, we only have 4 guys, but they are still really amazing! we went around the halls in our school singing this... it was crazy/amazing.

  • What beautiful voices.

  • amazinggggggggggggggggggggggg

  • that was......halleljah!!!!!!!

  • Goosebumps ... and just about the best church acoustics I've heard for this song (except for the Mormon Tabernacle choir, of course). Fantastic!

  • we deffinately sang this for our passion play...

  • that was absolutely amazing! we're learning that song in my chorus class for our christmas concert and its EXTREMELY difficult to sing, but once you nail it it sound amazing, which you did

  • I myself am agnostic (at the time of typing this) but this is a exquisite rendition of Hallelujah Chorus. It has rightfully earned my favorite It would be facinating to know the ages of those people singing. Was the boys or women hitting those high notes? Simply fantastic! 5/5

  • I love this song. I've sung it in Choir twice.

  • One of the best voice to glorify God in heaven!!!!

  • brilliant. a bit fast, but still perfection.

  • you made me laugh nakedjanet, you can't even spell in English!!! also, if you've got it, flaunt it. Also I love it when Americans say they speak English. They pinch all our best ideas LOL

  • Tres, tres, bien! Mais je ne parle pas franceise bien. Je suis Americanne, je parle anglaise. Comment est-ce que parler franceise?

Sorry, I'm just starting beginner's french, so that was probably bad.

  • Magnifique :) Bravo

  • Handel`s best choral achievement!

  • Absolutely Fantastic
