I voted democratic in the last election. What this year's race has taught me is that I was just hell-bent on getting rid of Bush. I don't agree with today's Republicans, but I guess I agree with a traditional Republican stance. I think Ron Paul won me over.

Sadly, Barak Obama is not nearly as good at this as I had hoped-- Clinton's got the credentials and she's not doing this blind to what the challenges are. Bill Clinton will be a great first lady!!! Don't fool yourself. Ron Paul is just another Republican at heart. When push comes to heart he votes as his party requires. He may claim to have platforms contradictory to the Republican Party but he tows its line. Otherwise there is no way the party would let him stay a member or let him run as a candidate. The candidates should address the problem of electoral and democratic discrimination against almost 4 millions of citizens that can't vote or have representation. I'm talking about the case of puertorricans citizens. We are under the rule of the congress and the president but without the right to vote, our soldiers are dying for a war that a president initiated. Its time to solve this: Independence or Statehood, but we want to empower our own fate through democratic means.

In my mind, Gravel is the smartest, most logical man on this stage who isn't afraid to have unpopular views. He isn't given any respect, which is a damn shame. Realistically, he doesn't have deep enough pockets to support such a run, but he's absolutely correct when he says "Follow the money," and where other candidates get their funds from the rich, Gravel gets all his funds in little trickles from regular Joe Schmoes who truly want something different, something revolutionary.
