  • The Philippines is one of the most corrupt countries in the world but at par from its African counterparts. It need infusion of new knowledge from "new" people. All the elected officials need to vanish and be replaced by these "new" people. No dynasty/ no nepotism. No power transfer to cronies . Just a new batch of people who really care for the growth and rise of the country. but who are they?

  • & now although we have an independence the filipinos should used dz kind of dirty tactics by the government using their power & knowledge for the uneducated filipinos who gets their votes in election now for being poor of filipinos their commit crimes until now so sad

  • Comment removed

  • Another big one is the housing bubble. I've seen (non prime)lots go for p4,000 a sq meter excluding house.I can buy a house for the same in the U.S as the philippines and add on the banks in the philippines charge 8-11% interest vs 5% in the U.S it just don't make sence.

  • I've been living in the philippines part time for 5 years and one of the biggest problems here are the banking systems. Just like the U.S a banking system can wreck a country in no time. But there are so many problems here. The police are under paid as are the teachers, lack of grants for poor people for school. The Government does not properly fund needed jobs. also the taxing on a business is to high so many corparations that would come here stay away for lack of tax breaks.

  • yes, it is a poor country financially. However, after being there many times and a wife from there, I have seen a lot. No single entity is to blame. My country, US, has done a lot to help there, but its not enough. Filipinos are very educated, but a lack of finance, investment, etc makes it worse. A light manufacturing base (cars) would do well. I would rather buy a Filipino car than a chinese car. Filipinos speak english, have culture close to ours and they are very kind.

  • first, critic. the presentation sucks. simple as that. however, i like the bigenning argument. "who made the philippines poor". right of the bat, i would'nt blame the people. a poor country will be poor regardless of how big the families are. for me, i would first look at the appointed leaders of the country. they are the one who can make a big impact. we need good leaders who can lead and the people will follow. for example. the economy drop significantly during erap's presedency. so...change

  • The filipinos does not have the enough intelligence to better their lives. They are stupid.

  • kill this abusive corrupt government as well as their followers....kill them all! specially those local/foreign drug lords and those fucking kotong/money face police/military and ect...

  • I can't stand it. I read every comment and there are few posters who venture into a 3rd dimensional view of the problems.Inventors? Their patents will be bought and the benefits of the invention (manufacturing) will be taken offshore. Bill Gates? His father was the founder of Planned Parenthood,so the founder is rewarded by having his son CHOSEN to be rich and powerful. This is how the aristocracy works. Windows is INFERIOR to both apple and linux OS, yet windows prevails. Conspiracy.

  • @sitonapotatopanotis2 R&D ? Larger paychecks? You are young, therefore naive, I can forgive that. You don't remember when IT professionals were scarce. Now we're swimming in them, they are common as sparrows and do not command nearly the money they did 15 years ago. Has anyone ventured the idea to let PEOPLE manage money? Their own?Why not? World Bank and IMF: demons. 3 weeks after Ferdinand Marcos refused to sign over the mineral rights of the entire Philippines to the banks, what happened?

  • @sitonapotatopanotis2 Color Revolution. Just like magic. I wager that Cory played ball with the banks, therefore she lived and her descendants bear rule.WHO killed Ninoy? I can't find a satisfactory answer, but I will guess that a financial power did not like what Ninoy wanted to do.Every time you take out a loan at interest, pay interest on a credit card or some other financial instrument, you help feed the Anglo-American-European banking-military-enslavement complex beast.

  • @sitonapotatopanotis2 When you go to the store and the price of a staple food item goes up (not factoring in crop disasters and seasonal price variations), what changed? Did the staple item change? Or did the value of each peso RELATIVE to the staple item change? It is the latter. As long as we continue to measure the value of our time with ever-decreasing value paper money, we will become slowly poorer and poorer. Currency is an esoteric intangible, a bowl of rice is not.

  • dalawa ang dahilan

    government corrupt

    people anak ng anak

    walang sisihan

  • @RainbowAura

  • @RainbowAura nakalimutan mo isa, katoliko palaging nakialam.

  • Not a bad video.

Except for the really bad English...

  • Pinoys are poor, both physically and mentally

  • @mendigger

35% of Filipinos are poor.. 10% are RICH

and the rest of the percentage lives MEDIOCRE lives.. compared to other ASIAN countries like S.Korea

A Middle Class Income in Philippines.. is considered SLUM income in South Korea, Singapore or Japan

  • Who made the Philippines poor ? All the people, it's a team effort. You have the government. the corporations, politicians, banks, media, local companies, churches, schools, laborers etc. We keep consuming and wasting resources for the sake of profit, and we think wealth is that piece of paper we call money, not thinking that we are in a downward spiral destroying the natural environment. And we call it progress LOL ? We only have one planet, how long do we keep on going with this madness.

  • @sep142928 it has no sound

  • Before WWII, Old folks told me that $1=1peso, Philippines wasn't an industrialized country but producing sugar, coconut and tobacco for the least with reserved gold and mineral resources. Then after the war of Japan and the USA which Philippines was a reduced to a battle ground, the Phillipine Government signed a Free Trade Agreement with the Industrial US. American Products kept coming to Philippines like a push button. So that's when the Philippine industry died a natural death.

  • @mjo1218 yes the FREE TRADE killed our own market

  • @zemezman and the manipulation of the few rich "Filipinos" plus the traditional politicians did not focus on industrialization or in making big branded factories for people to work so they can pay taxes but outside private companies took over much of the companies where people work. In short for sure, whoever the president is, he will be asking for more foreign investment tied with lack of own industrialization. If the late Pres. Magsaysay, Mechanical Engineer id not die an accident, what...

  • @mjo1218 we should have been industrialized first

  • Thats a no question of course governments with all the corruption!

  • I don't think a declaration of war is worth the paper it is written on if a another country attacks like they did at pearl harbour.Or maybe japan was having a bad day?If that wasn't a declaration of war then i don't know what is

  • @MrLlsj if you dont know what it is then john wayne university is still accepting students..

  • @zemezan america declared war on japan lmao japan attacked america first!go back to the john wayne university moron!

  • @MrLlsj On December 8, 1941 the United States Congress declared war upon the Empire of Japan in response to that country's surprise attack on Pearl Harbor the prior day.

if you are reacting to this - " it was US who joined the war and declared war with Japan " , this is true with history since even Japan attacked first it was USA who DECLARED war against JAPAN ... i am talking who DECLARED WAR not who attacked first.

  • the filipino whore women will make it rich cause they will bring more money in cause they are 1 million percent pangit whores!!

  • @tubedude101 yes dont worry the abu sayafff will kill all the filipinos soon!!

  • another cuestion....why not kill corrupt filipino goberment? is very easy kill rats...is just prepare poison for rats...then bummmmmmmmmm ! thas it.

kill aquino is a big lier. s stupit gay.

  • the goverment aint doin shit i mean realy they need to start helping with the poverty i think this is why people are rebeling against the goverment

  • @kinghades512 the people made the Philippines poor

  • @321eusebiostpc yung mga verbs na walang "ed" it does not really matter unless if its Filipino is reading it .. Pinoy highlight verbs or grammar errors and connect it to education or school to put shame or insult to intellectual capability. That kind of strategy is old and spelling or grammar errors are not the highest measurement of intelligence.

us ip yo canot undirstund dis .. aptr ol da bedyo ish nut abawt sleping or gramahr

  • who made our country poor?

  • @321eusebiostpc really ?

  • mis informed video

  • @engrbulik in what way it is misinformed sir? which part of it is not true?

  • @zemezman this is misinformed video, 1880- 2009? we are tiger in asia before the wwII ,, but not anymore, we lost our title, i think the struggle begin when marcos rule for over 20 years, i think lang

  • @netjap23 what was our product before WW2 and after ww2, did we have our own aircraft carriers and destroyers, airplanes before ww2? Did we join ww1 and ww2? Did Japan joined ww1 or ww2? Did they have aircraft carriers and destroyers? in what way we are the tiger of asia before ww2 ?

  • @zemezman philippines was rich before ww2 because it was a protectorate of america. stupid faggot. philippines joined ww2, only that it does not carry the name philippines but USA

  • @ronelle106 by your own word - if Philippines was not protectorate of America then before ww2 Philippines was not rich? Philippines did NOT JOINED ww2 , Philippines was ATTACKED by Japan that it was forced to FIGHT ONLY in its mother land. That act is not called JOINED ww2 but simply DEFENDING its right to live. Now am i a stupid faggot?

  • @zemezman perhaps what is your standard of joining? You mean flips to be sent in Europe when even americans did not mingle with european issues? It's USA vs. Japan by that time, and I don't have to enumerate the Filipinos battling with Japs. Yes it was rich, perhaps not rich by standards today, but rich compared to any other asian countries.

  • @ronelle106 Philippines did not joined ww2 it was attacked by Japan so Filipinos have to defend their mother land. Philippines did not declare war against Japan, it was US who joined the war and declared war with Japan. If Philippines was rich during that time against Japan, then what was our export that time? what technologies we are producing compare to other Asian countries?

Who made the Philippines poor = We Filipino people not the Presidents

  • @TayouJin yes you are right, but the change of what the people will focus their time , effort and intelligence will matter a lot. If people will only focus on watching our Government and what it can do for this individual life then Government can do very little. But if individual people start focusing their intelligence on creating products then we can be rich.

  • @zemezman were second to japans economy, but have we have now aircraft carriers, 2009, back in the past we really have a very good start,

  • I know for a fact that there are indeed smart and hard working filipinos in the Philippines. Problem is the generation today in Philippines doesn't exactly have that motivation to "I want to make my country better" idea in there head. Wasting money on playing games and Celebrity tv shows, in doing so the next generation that's gonna be born there will continue to live in an even more poor environment.

  • @ArkGrave yes, you are right... such as pinoy big brother and facebook.

  • @zemezman

In my opinion I think they need to start a revolution. There waiting for a miracle to happen and it's just not gonna come. There's about 4 big walls standing on their dreams, 1. Weather, when it rains it floods big time im talking about giant tsunamis and all. 2. Corrupt government they have alot of bad officers of the law over there, my friends dad got arrested for helping an old person fight of a thief, seriously wtf. 3.They do have terrorists over there. 4.and Celebrities.

  • Out of ten (10) Nation with the most population, China is the no. 1! As of this year, China's economy is "shooting" up. If our government can manage people to produce more money I think we will be able to do what China is doing. We don't need too much professionals to do it, we need a leader who would be able to lead the people to produce more money!

  • @xjackxcoolxkaxlangx you said " We don't need too much professionals to do it " , so you mean that China's economic boom is not made by many professionals ? but a single leader that knows how to lead a not professional people?

there is a big difference in leading 1000 farmers versus leading 10 scientists .. the difference is the economic boom ..

  • @zemezman look at the figures, as of 2007 China has around 30,000 R&D (Scientist) against (over) a billion population. And they are still going up despite the economic recession. In the Philippines 16.8 percent of the total registered nurses (professionals) has no job (as of 2004)! By the way, how much professionals do you need in the Philippines so it can be a great country 50% of the total population?

  • @xjackxcoolxkaxlangx there is a big difference between 30k R&D Scientists versus 100% registered nurses all with job. R&D will results into NEW products that you can compete and sell into the Global Market while RN is a health service. Its the number and type of professionals that can create a NEW product that will lead us to economic boom.

  • @zemezman check the figures... I'm asking you, how many professionals do you need for the Phils in order to make it rich or at least average? 50%? And with your number, put up a weak government leader. Norway is the 3rd richest country in the world according to einfopedia (dot) com do they have so many professionals there or they're making the right moves to in order to make it happen.

  • @xjackxcoolxkaxlangx IF Filipinos have 90 million people but only 10k R&D DEVELOPING competitive products and winning the Global Markets, then Philippines is a developing country going for an economic boom. IF 90 million Filipinos are all registered nurse with an HONEST leader that is able to lead the nurses to produce more money out of offering health service to the other countries, earning Dollars back to Philis., there will be NO economic boom.

  • @zemezman look at the answer of pyrosheen, do you need inventors or INVESTORS? 1.3b people in China with only 30k R&D Scientist that's about 0.0023% of the total population. Norway is using their natural resources WISELY - do you need inventors to use and export your natural resources, manpower and your inventions? Where are the farmlands, forest, etc. of the Philippines - kung nagamit ng tama ang mga iyan at para sa ikauunlad ng Pilipinas palagay ko mayaman tayo ngayon!

  • u can export or produce the raw materials for the inventions. U may tell INVESTORS to come to the Phils dahil tahimik ito: may PEACE and ORDER WALANG CORRUPTION pero ano ba meron ang Phils?

  • @xjackxcoolxkaxlangx PRODUCTS was and will be made by INVENTORS, INVESTORS comes in AFTER INVENTORS / CREATORS made the Products already. Until then I might be wrong.

  • @xjackxcoolxkaxlangx Philippines need INVENTORS ... the INVENTORS or CREATORS of Microsoft and Google are INVESTING heavily on CHINA. The INVENTORS / CREATORS of oil-drilling-machines and natural-fuel (natural resources) refinery-machines INVEST their time and money in middle east to extract the oils there. Without those type INVENTORS there no big INVESTORS. Coca-cola and General Electric starts with inventors, NASA inventors invest on space development.

  • @zemezman nalilito ka lang. THEY (foreign companies) invent and INVEST saan? Sa Pilipinas ba o sa China? Due to cheap labor AND government assurance ng ibang bansa, dun sila nagIINVEST hindi sa Phils! Phils don't need to have to produce too much INVENTORS but needs to invite INVESTORS to mass produce their INVENTIONS tama ba?

  • @xjackxcoolxkaxlangx That reply is about the TOPIC between INVENTORS versus INVESTORS. My original reply which includes this sentence -> " Coca-cola and General Electric starts with inventors, NASA inventors invest on space development. " . I believe I did not mention in that sentence that these NASA nor GE is trying to help us in terms of economic boom. But maybe you are right, I am now confused.

  • @xjackxcoolxkaxlangx My video is about Vertical Economic Development that for me was and will only be triggered by INVENTORS by ANY country. Since PRODUCTS that can earn money to the country by selling into the global market are MADE by INVENTORS not by POLITICIANS. Now if you say that i am confused then i am not the right person to debate with you anymore.

  • @zemezman UR vid shows the Phil Gov. Filipino People Filipino Family Filipino Father producing Filipino babies instead of money. Filipinos need to invent to enrich the Phils. i.e. a competition of Microsoft by 2030 and a Phil. gov. encouraging it's population for R&D. My response: Mass production of OUR inventions are NOT being DONE in the PHILS. INVESTORS tend to MASS pro these inventions in other countries other than US! Good Leader should start inviting INVESTORS BACK for R&D n mass pro!

  • @xjackxcoolxkaxlangx Yes, this is true. We have inventions that were not mass produce by the government instead they are mass produced by other investors to other countries. And what can make the Philippines rich is through PEOPLE investing their time, effort and intelligence on creating or inventing new Products.

  • the president , senators ,government official, police - these are the people who make philippine poort - corruption is too deeply rooted in all government dept which make it very difficult to eradicate. not in the next 20 years will these corruption go away or its poor citizen becoming rich. alot of things the govt done is really so shameful - However still alot of stupid philippino openly boast of how good their govt or country is even though its very bleak - sad - sad - so much suffering

  • @DIXIEBOY68 you maybe right, but how long are we going to focus on Government Corruption? Lets just accept that fact, can we? Then start inventing our own technology and quality products that we can use. In that way we will focus our time on something that will convert into money.

  • help those unemployed by bringing in manufacturers and companies from other Asian countries would create plenty of new jobs, new pensions and unions, benefits for all. Presidential and Police security must be strengthened and gun and violence related crimes struck down hard, including banning automatic guns. Garbage men will be created to make the streets sleek clean, Urban planners need to seriously take into affect the population density of most cities. The Philippines can once again be great.

  • in short.. Filipinos should know the word pagkukusa, pagtyaga, at pagsisisikap. walang mangyayari kung di mo tutulungan ang sarili mo.. walang mangyayari kung hindi ka kikilos para sa sarili at pamilya mo.. lahat may paraan. lahat pwedeng gawin sa tamang paraan, gamitin mo lang sa wasto ang dunong na ipinagkaloob ng maykapal.. ang 5 bahagi ng katawan, gamitin para pakinabangan. hindi lalapit ang trabaho kung di mo hahanapin...

  • @gobautista you are right , Manny Villar did help himself.. thats what should filipino be doing..

  • @katipunan26 you are wrong this time.... the father did not initiated new types of business, did not invented a new line of products that the government should be supporting, thus the government cannot provide jobs to its people. What the government did is invite Foreign people to invest + initiate a new type of business or expand its invented product or expand its factory to Philippines eventually providing jobs to filipinos. It is Foreign people not our government or people who provide jobs.

  • @katipunan26 you are right in some aspects .. but what i mean is that bill gates initiated the concept of that business. he did not wait for the government to instruct him and do the common + existing kinds of business. If twitter , youtube and facebook is another type of business then that is what i am talking about .. instead of creating another yahoo-type of website .. bill gates made another kind of business.

  • @katipunan26 you are right, but people should also try to create a new type of business just like bill gates did and others. people should be thinking of ways other than what the government is providing. . not just waiting for the governments initiative. the rest of your ideas are really great .. thank you

  • Who Made the Philippines Poor? The Vatican Spanish imperialists thats what and Muslim militants in the south

  • @phantastickyle too out of topic comment

  • Exactly, the government is what made the Philippines poor.

  • @mainestategop its not the government .. it is the people who made the people poor.. if people start inventing or creating products .. then we will be rich even if we dont have a government..

try creating your own version of windows operating system and sell it to the other countries, philippines will be rich..

  • BOTH!!! common "mahirap" thinking "kapag mayaman ka masama ka" "kapag mahirap ka mabait sa iyo ang langit" another = asa sa politiko, what we can expect progress??? perfect recipe for a poor nation like the Philippines :(

  • @oseanic80 you are right .. perfect .. people should start inventing or creating their own products and stop blaming the government .. because there will be no money that will come out by blaming the government ..we will not be able to export quality products by blaming the government . only by creating products we can make money.

  • Can I choose both?

  • @bitterkayne you can choose both .. but as i see it .. it was us ( the people ) who made philippines poor .. because we make more babies than make more quality products ..

we keep on blaming the government when it was not the presidents or politicians who make more babies. it was the people who made more babies then can not support to give them education eventually making those kids uneducated and jobless..

  • @esper5 how can you prove that we are 2nd lang tayo sa japan in terms of economy, power and technological advancement. ? what year it happened ? before or after the fall of japan? if it is after then the logic is simple

  • to solve the poverty is to volunteer specially if you have excess money that you can't use or think to use,if I would be bless by GOD with a good business I would volunteer to help the philippines and propose many projects and using my own money, and we have to follow all the laws but not all of it specially if it ban a filipino culture or a background of corruption is surrounding that law.

  • @templar1694 you have a good idea .. but change should come from the people ,, people are more corrupt than the government .. God told us to multiply, right? what did the Filipino people did? they make 10 to 12 children but they did not support its education because of excuse they are poor... if you know you are poor during your wedding then why did you make many children? is that not corruption ?

  • many people are focused on thngs that are irrelevant to prosperity. for example, skin color is an obsession with people there. maybe also, stop marginalizing certain people in your country...such as the aetas, igorots, ect...you never know, within one of those poplulations can be the the brilliance that is needed to strengthen your people...also, stop self hating....embrace yourselves and stop lookng at others as so much better than yourselves. stop colonial mentality

  • @dreinstein2009 this is not about skin, race, or self rejection .. this is about creating or inventing products that the people and government can use to generate more money or even use those products for ourselves.

  • The VERY 1st thing that Philippines should do if they want to bring change is unveil and persecute all corrupt politicians because they are responsible for handling the people's money.

The real answer here is free education from elementary to secondary, so people can make better choices and decision to prosper.

  • @Nihawmah killing corrupt politicians will not help make the philippines rich .. free education can be a help , but focus on creating or inventing our own products for our own use and for export purposes is the way to go for our country..

politicians corrupt or not .. cannot make philippines rich but millions of people that will try to invent products can make us a rich country..

  • make education free!its the only way.find any items how to build small houses!its the only way

  • @james5943 free education can be part of it, finding way or investigating how small products and big machines are invented is the way to make as export products to other countries..

  • and add to that..i think talent is going out of the Philippines really fast...too many people leave the country and go to other countries for a BIGGER pay check...which is 100% understandable...however...none of that talent is able to grow in our country to help foster any industry to grow whether it be Engineering, Chemical Engineering or even Business Management...let's hope the whoever the new president is can solve these issues and create some MOMENTUM in turning our country around...

  • yes that is very true that is why i made another video about - how can you help solve poverty.

There should be a collection of intelligent students then let them do research and development and pay them higher pay check so every one will be encouraged to become inventors for our country

  • Philippines needs to embrace a Confucius philosophy in order to turn our Country around....countries like Singapore and South Korea had or were influenced by the teachings of Confucius...and also of course to be REALLY STRICT on corruption....i guess that's my take on this matter

  • @Mrillmatic99 this is true..

  • bad government, too powerful church, bahala na attitude of the masses especially.. the key is to leave the country n leave it to the poor..

  • change the people's attitude towards self reliance n perseverance.. not relying always on foreign aid.. enforce family planning, legalize abortion, remove church powers n sway over the ignorant masses..educate people in honest n efficient governance, not stealing.. so simple is the answer but difficult to implement thats why the country needs disasters that kill!!

  • yes, simple yet so difficult to implement

  • They should be provided with adequate funding to have new materials such as new books and new facilities to create a better atmosphere in the educational system.

The Philippines is spending less per student in comparison to several countries in Asia. Maybe it's the people who create more jobs but it's the government's responsibility to give the youths the tools in order to succeed.

  • @Flipsify you are wrong here -> Maybe it's the people who create more jobs but it's the government's respionsibility to give the youths the tools in order to succeed.

the right sentence should be .. it should be the people who create more jobs by their inventions and it is the government's responsibility to give the youths the tools in order to succeed in education and eventually create their own new line of business or products to the philippines to use or even the world. think of ipod

  • It's a good idea but if the government is not raising the standard of education in all levels by investing more resources nothing will change. Teachers should be given incentives who raise the standards of achievement and discipline. More schools should be established or renovated to accommodate the increasing number of students.

  • @Flipsify raise the level or standard of education.. it should be american based .. focus education or the british way of education .. not general education from elementary, to high school to college .. it should be focus education where a computer science student should have subjects related ONLY on CS and no more physical education and other nonsense subjects..

  • It is NOT the RESPONSIBILITY of the Government to create jobs for the PEOPLE.

Bill Gates (PEOPLE) build Microsoft then the company HIRE Fathers (PEOPLE) to work for Microsoft.

So it is PEOPLE creating jobs for PEOPLE.

The father (PEOPLE) did NOT know how to BUILD a company to create jobs for other PEOPLE so they stay home to make more babies.

PEOPLE did NOT create JOBS then create more babies (PEOPLE) from year 1880 to 2009. Father (PEOPLE) who MADE our Philippines POOR.
