i'm so upset that they're discontinuing the 600 film for use with the classic supercolor cameras. those were definitely making a comeback with photographers and amateurs alike, and getting rid of it right now in favor of a little printer you carry with you everywhere.. the progression of technology is so sad sometimes!
I've been a photographer who used film for a lifetime, now enjoying the digital format, but polaroid have always had a rather queer idea of what cameras and photography are all about. Their early polaroid cameras took a film with poor quality and absolutely no longevity whatsoever. They're using the same mentality all over again and it would be a crying shame if this gizmo caught on. Great photography needs to be captured for posterity. This is a joke and an insult to the art of photography.
I have an idea. Don't use it. While I'm sure Polaroid didn't create this product in order to satisfy the art world, who are you to decide what is art and what isn't? Attitudes like yours are an insult to the entire art world, not just the art of photography. Nazi!
I notice you didn't say 'Geo' was wrong and that this camera takes a great photo. I totally agree with him, this is a piece of sh*t and nothing more than a toy for 'happy snappers' who couldn't give a sh*t about photographic quality let alone longevity. So in your opinion 'nazi' = hater of things like this cheap polariod crap? Hmm, you never fought in the war then, huh? :)
However, this isn't a professional camera or a professional printer, it's a fun, easy-to-use printer that is fairly inexpensive. If you're looking to print art quality pictures then you're not being realistic. So yes, it's for "happy snappers", like that's a bad thing? Stop being a hater.
Fun vid! I now know why my phone is never where I left it when I go to sleep.
I was skeptical, but I've seen this in use and thought the pic quality was pretty good for coming from a cell phone quality camera. Think the price point is a bit high.
Wonder if they'll merge this technology with their digital camera. Be able to 'develop' pics from the camera, like how the old Polaroid cameras worked. For those with nastolgia.
You know I was kinda excited when I first heard about zink...I still think its a product with alot of potential but if this is what is replacing polaroid film products i say no thank you...the product as its presented here is doomed to fail and i hope it takes the rotting corpse of whats left of the great polaroid name with it

Yeah, let's cover the face of the earth with useless snapshots... Since there's no ink used, it won't be bad for the environment, right? (not)

Why can't they just use this technology mixed with the digital camera and they'll have an all new instant camera?

Good point, I take back the Nazi comment.

So this is what is replacing over 40 of their discontinued films, including integral, pack film, 4x5, 8x10 and 24x30 films? This? I don't think so.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! it's a pettaroid product NOT a polaroid. What was left of polaroid died when tom petters announced intant films discontinuation.
don't buy it. it's not nearly as great as they're trying to make it sound.
