If you have a mechanical heart valve and the noise keeps you awake at night - but DON'T want to use drugs or narcotics to sleep - you can purchase an inexpensive and non-addictive psychoacoustic audio recording with the title "Heartbeat River" at cdbaby.com
Incredible medical progress but why the Hell does a company that's at the forefront of medicine have a video that looks and sounds like it was made by a high school student?
a better way will be to cut out the old valve via an endoscopic surgery and implanting the valves via katheter. this kind of operation will be performed in a few months by a german university hospital.
@loopynora The FDA as of today's news 11/6/11 has just approved this new stent valve replacement in the good ole U. S. A. Great news for people that need this procedure done.? Many lives will be saved with this new method of invasive surgery.?
ITS COOL IDEA BUT STILL ONE problemha ummm y that valve will not protect red blood cell from lysis ummm i think the body will try to produce more RBCs ummm may the pation suffer from erthrocytosis ummm not really it depend on the qulity of this valve should be like silk or have high liprication ummm so i think it should be chane in some time cuz every thing has limite time and its qulity will decreas umm just idea
It is bad, no terrible enough to have to actually hearpeople stall with an Ummmmmm while speaking, but to have one actually type it out in written communication, is just telling of much progress has been made, or not.
is that our heart?

that leaves the left ventricle effectively non-operational until the new valve is deployed. what is their work-around for that?

@hyperlink89 please could you tell me what the name of this technique is and in what hospital they perform this.
