He was my favorite artist. Very talented, but often misunderstood. As an African American myself, I am glad to see that we do have an artist who made it to international fame. But here is the catch, he did so while he was alive, unlike many artist who finaly become appreciated once they had moved on to the next life.

The best artist to ever pick up a paint brush. He dared to put on canvas, what many people would never dare to even speak. about, let alone showcase before the entire world. Definetly a great African American contribution to the art world. I'm proud of what he accomplished. That being for the art world, and the LGBT community.
