  • This is our All District audition piece this year. I love this song :)

  • Was this sung in Soprano 1 or 2 ?

She did a awesome job , && I have to sing soprano 1 at all districts soon !

  • @ShayAyala I have to do this song for all districts to!! I am pretty sure this is soprano one, the notes match my soprano one copy good luck!!!

  • @didlede1

This is in E-flat Major, which on my copy is the Alto 1 key for districts :) do all districts sing this or is it just in Virginia? :D

  • @didlede1 actually I believe this is Soprano 2 ! Because It seems that I've been singing in a higher pitch ! This has to be Soprano 2 , I wish I would have chosen to do that instead .

  • @ShayAyala so if this is soprano 2 then where could i find one in soprano 1?

  • @ShayAyala it is soprano 2. I have to sing it too!

  • @ShayAyala

This is in E-flat Major, which on my copy is the Alto 1 key for districts :) do all districts sing this or is it just in Virginia? :D

  • @cyitor uhm , Idk ... you'd have to find that out from your choral director when the time comes .

  • @ShayAyala hey im also doing the virginia districts in soprano 1 see u soon :)

  • @msparkermarryme Oh cool , how do you know what I look like though lol , nor do I know how you look ! lol #jussayin

  • @ShayAyala I'm doing this for virginia all districts aswell, but in soprano 2

  • Stunning! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Though traditionally sung by a man, I am glad to hear a female voice take this on. Well done.

(And I was going to comment on the pronunciation of Ralph, but others beat me to it. No, it doesn't make sense. Those crazy English! The actor Ralph Fiennes does the same thing.)

  • im singing this song for my regional solo, thank you for putting this up! SO much help. you a wonderful singer:)

  • lovely job!! i've been looking for a video of a girl singing this...this seems to be the only one on youtube. very good.

  • Wonderful!! Really well done - this is a difficult piece of music. (I have sung this myself in competition and recital) Your intonation is excellent and your tone is lovely. And I could understand what you were singing as well!

    Thank you for sharing!

  • It is indeed pronounced Raif. A beautiful tone, and the first time I've heard this song sung by a girl! Work on developing an emotional connection, as well as sense of rubato through the piece.

  • i think its pronounced RAEF or RAYF

    a hard A with a silent L

i know its spelled Ralph Vaughn Williams but trust me.......
